61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin maleabity attack - who made it and is it still running? on: October 09, 2015, 12:08:47 PM
I think anybody monitors only transactions which have only 0-confirmed parent transactions, and then they change its and rebroadcast.
After many wallets affected to this when user try to send new transaction based on 0-confirmed old transactions - a wallet software make new transaction from itself TxIDs, but network knows about other TxIDs...
Sad
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin maleabity attack - who made it and is it still running? on: October 09, 2015, 11:59:17 AM
Now i did a payment to myself by Mycelium 2.5.2
After transaction was made, after 1 minute i tried to send new transaction (parent transaction had 0-confirmation). Mycelium allows to send transaction based on 0-confirmed.
But Mycelium could not send a new transaction - "transaction was declined by network"

I think for 1 minute (because blockchain.info & tradeblock.com shows to me different cashes of my first (parent) transaction) while i did new payment in this time anybody changed my transaction and some miners got other and inputs of second transaction after this referered to invalid TxID.

I think this type of attack affects user wallets too - if wallet software can spend unconfirmed outputs (Mycelium, Breadwallet, Electrum and etc.). And user can think that payment was not sent but some peers got normal valid transsacion, other got invalid... It's not good news for bitcoin users.

UP

https://tradeblock.com/bitcoin/

Now again 92K transactions
but now 99% from theirs now have a fewest fee/Kb
Is it bad mixer? Or new stress test? Smiley
Now it's not big problem because there 99% of all transactions have < 1 satoshi/byte fee. But it's not good for some centralized software of blockchain - blockchain.info site (max request errors), biteasy.com + blocktrail.com (lagging of indexed blockchain), Mycelium wallet (long time syncing and lagging of wallet balances)...

Sad

70  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [CYBER WEEK SALE] HashCoins - Cryptocurrency Mining Hardware Manufacturer on: December 02, 2014, 04:36:25 PM
Hi,

Mister Perlover, let's refer to him as the Customer, definitely has ordered 2x Poseidon from us, that is an undisputable fact. The total hashrate of that order was 4.2 TH/s. Taking into account that the order was not completed in the stated timeframe (for reasons everyone is aware of), and, the Poseidon model was discontinued, the Customer was offered a substituion of his order for cloud mining services with increaced hashrate as compensation. This option did not satisfy the Customer. Moreover, the Customer even declined to listen what compensation we are offering and discuss this matter, despite the fact that the total offered hashrate was calculated so that he would be able to return his investment in the shortest time frame and receive profit on top of that.

I order at you two 2.1TH/s machines. I don't like cloud mining, and didn't it. By this reason i choosed your company. I will not write here, why I don't like a cloud mining. This topic for another conversation. Briefly, just want to say that this is more hype - you own the power that you do not actually own.  And you take care of all the risks payback. While having the hardware, you can always turn it off and turn it on again when you need it. So, I paid about $10,000 for the equipment in the summer. I promised to get these hardware it in September. But in September, on contact with me no one came until I sent several emails.
Omitting many descriptions of why I suspect that HashCoins can cheat, just say what reasons have caused this suspicion.

They are professionally playing for time. On the part of the letters they don't respond, promises are constantly not performed and i should constantly to remind to them. For example, 30 Oct 2012 they confirmed that order will be remaked, and (!) additional agreement will be send in next week. I don't have an agreement even now! 10 November in email they wrote to me that additional agreement will  be ready during 2 days. 20 November they wrote to me that they have problems with Adobe Echosign and agreement will be ready soon. And so on. After a long emailings (i have 60 emails in my email box) i got (24 November) first device - Apollo 1TH/s. But they promised to send three devices before end of this year. But now is 1 December and soon in Europe will be the Christmas  and post service will not work after 20th days of December. Of course, after this whole saga, I began to worry. I wrote to them in Friday - no answer. I wrote in Monday - no answer. I wrote here in forum. After my post (!) during some minutes they began to call me. I knew in advance that they will ask - what is asked always in such cases - TO DELETE POST from this forum. Then they wrote to the email where they asked me to remove my post. It was the second alarm that something is wrong with the HashCoins. They do not have the time to answer my emails, but have time to monitor the forum and call to me as it was the first time (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=417623.msg9316133#msg9316133).
And that's what I still do not like it - they write about regular promotions, reduced prices, fast delivery here, but can not meet its obligations to 5 months in front of me. For example, why they did not immediately send 4 devices, they assured me, why send one at a time? It seemed to me that they are just playing for time - because as long as I keep quiet, they can write about super promotions here and how everything is well with them!

Also the question - why all they offer a cloud service as compensation, but can not send the equipment? Equipment for cloud service they have, but paid by customers equipment they don't have. This is very strange! The thought creeps in that the money paid for the equipment they use to buy equipment, but ... for the purchase of their equipment.

The Customer has insisted receiving the hardware and we, as a manufacturer of said equipment, decided to accept his terms, and, as an exception recalculated the order along with the compensation. There was an agreed schedule for hardware shipments and we have indeed started shipping according to that schedule, thus fulfilling our obligations in front of the Customer. Our only request to the Customer at the time of the first shipment was not to disclose the personal data. This request was ignored, as you can see here. Futhermore the Customer started publicly accuse us in dishonesty, technically, a scam accusation. Due to this fact, compensation for the Customer in the form of hardware was denied. Instead, the compensation was offered as cloud hashrates, and that offer was also denied by the Customer. The remaining 3.1 TH/s out of 4.2 TH/s of the initial order will be shipped to the Customer until the end of December 2014.

What I divulged by my message ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=417623.msg9706705#msg9706705 )?

> The Customer has insisted receiving the hardware and we

You forgot to tell here that i asked to you to return money to me (make refund). You answered to me that it's not possible! Because i didn't want your cloud mining i had insisted receiving the hardware. Because otherwise I would have left without money and equipment...

> The remaining 3.1 TH/s out of 4.2 TH/s of the initial order will be shipped to the Customer until the end of December 2014.

So that is, you agree to sent to me the equipment? Your last email tells me that you do not send me anything.

I suppose I should be glad that you will send me the equipment, less powerful than I ordered and 4 times cheaper from price in July 2014? Good move. 5 months of using my money and to ship the equipment, which is already 4 times cheaper and less competitive.
Well, I agree to your terms. Otherwise, I guess I'll never know, are you cheats or not. But please note, as I wrote, I'll leave from 14 Dec. To fulfill its commitment, you need to send more than one unit per week, and at least two. Do not send the equipment that I can not get until 14 December.

But please notice that you can return to me the rest from my payment. But i don't hope that you will return a money...

Regarding scam accusations, we would like to stress this again: we are a registered company. You can visit our office to discuss ordering matters or from plain curiosity - we will always happy to welcome our guests. We have gone the extra mile to keep the mining hardware business as transparent as possible, giving out our addresses, phones and identitites. We also have a registered trademark: HashCoins.

The best thing you can do - to fulfill their obligations. And to openly discuss the problem. And not to scare customers sanctions for the publication of unpleasant facts about you. I don't understand why I have to go from Czech Republic to Estonia for sedation?

A bit of eloquance from my side.
If in a store, a customer or a prospective buyer is behaving inadequately and distrubs the store's business, he is politely asked to leave. And it is deemed normal. So our request to users with this attitude to leave the thread or at the very least stop spreading this online-buffoonery. If you are making scam accusations, please, specify your information, such as name, phone, address, email address, and proof of your claims.

> If you are making scam accusations, please, specify your information, such as name, phone, address, email address, and proof of your claims.

Now you ask to leave personal data here in forum? :-O
Above you wrote the opposite - a violation of your rights and entails the cancellation of your obligations to the client.

Despite all accusations and difficulties we have been through, we continue working in this business, supply hardware, support and develop the world of cryptotechnologies. We care about each of our customers as much as we care about our business.

Yes, I really hope that I'll get at least a less powerful and cheap equipment. Very nice doing business with you!

P.S. Now all i have for $10,000 paid at summer time (5 months ago!) - one device https://www.hashcoins.com/product/hashcoins-apollo-v3-black/ (price, $1,249.00 black friday price is $599.00)
And who of us injured party?

Perlover
71  Economy / Scam Accusations / I think, HashCoins is scam company. Be aware! on: December 01, 2014, 06:07:47 PM
Hi,

HashCoins informed me that i broked their terms!
And they will not ship to me other hardware.

And what we have?

I ordered 2 machines - 2.2TH Poseidons for ~ $10000 in July 2014.
I waited 2 months. No shippment.
I contacted many times with them till i had posted here my first post about HashCoins.
After my first post here the HashCoins called to me during some minutes. They asked to me delete post and promise to me resolve problem.

They told to me that they cannot bring to me hardware. I asked to make refund, but they told to me that they cannot make refund!
They strongly suggested to me cloud mining. I didn't want. Some weeks of negotiations and they agreed to reform my order to other hardware.

But after many weeks and my reminders they sent to me first miner (1.1TH/Apollo). They promised to send to me other three Apollo in this year. But small time left before Christmas. I suspected that they will not send me anything. I wrote to them in Friday and no answer... until I wrote a new message here. They recalled to me but i didn't answer. They asked by email to delete my post. I didn't want.

Today, after my second post here they claim i broke their conditions! And they will not ship to me other hardware!
And they can suggest to me now only cloud mining...

HashCoin Guys, what i broke? Smiley Please write here.

I am sure that the HashCoins is scam. They use hardware of customers yourself in their cloud mining and suggest to customers to remake orders from hardware to cloud mining. It's their strategy. Or their financial scheme is Pyramid. They live at the expense of new customers. They don't plan to send a hardware. They sent to me only one Apollo only i calmed down and did not write about them.
72  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [CYBER WEEK SALE] HashCoins - Cryptocurrency Mining Hardware Manufacturer on: December 01, 2014, 04:05:21 PM
I can't really comprehend even what the hell is going on here.
Hell? :-O Where is hell?

What are the claims that you have? They are open for communication on the phone and email, you can visit their office even. So from my point of view they do what they promise to do.

Your post is addressed to me or anybody here other?

HashCoins, when i will get 3 miners from 4 Apollo?
You have fulfilled my order only 14% (from price amount).

HashCoins contacted with me and assured me that i will get 3 miners near two weeks.
Ok, i will monitor this execution ;-)

My console is also displaying a lot of the LIBUSB_ERROR_IO. Any ideas?

I got same errors in RasPi
After i recompiled with --with-libusb but before i done:

cd cgminer-distrib
sudo make unistall # should be done for uninstalling *.h files of libusb support which were installed by cgminer. Without this you will get binary linked with non-system lib
sudo make clean
./configure --with-libusb ...
make && sudo make install
79  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / v4.8.0 & other RasPI - Other Segmentation fault on: November 29, 2014, 01:00:52 AM
Hi,

Other device Raspberry Pi B+ (i bought other device and other micro sd card)
I installed new OS for new RasPi
The miner is same
And again segmentation fault in usb_perform_transfer Sad
May be some compile options are not fine for gcc?
I think a hardware is not problem now...

80  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / v4.8.0 & RasPI - Segmentation fault on: November 27, 2014, 03:41:44 PM
Miner: HashCoins Apollo
I regulary get a segmentation fault
I tryied with included into cgminer 'libusb' and with system libusb - same result
This binary was compiled as ' ./configure --enable-hashfast --with-system-libusb'
I turned on a core dumping and i got:

P.S. I looked sources and i think that problem may be in my hardware (memory for example)... The static function 'usb_perform_transfer' cannot be called with zero-valued parameters :-/
