61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Scammers put bad impact to Our Government about Bitcoin Transections. on: October 03, 2021, 09:09:37 AM

I think Digital Currency like Crypto isn't getting much popularity because of these Scammers. They are one of the most strong reason why Government's aren't showing interest on Crypto Transections.

This may not really aplies to the reasons why Cryptocurrency is places on a ban hold by some countries, although i gree with how digital businesses have been misunderstood by many for scamming, but i think some countries are having related issues with Cryptocurrency due to its decentralization and non Government regulated entity. They believe everything to be under their auspices whereas crypto is a game changer of it all.

While from the other hand, clarity has been made concerning the interest of Indonesia government towards regulating crpto activities rather than placing ban and has adopted Bitcoin among other cryptos as an asset in the country as they had record a tremendous increase in crypto related activities in the past one and a half year, claim not to trail on China ban place on Cryptocurrency. Well on a contrary occasion, the government also have given the conditions to lift the lingering ban placed on Twitter if 5 conditions given were meant. Twitter must meet the Nigerian government’s five conditions before the suspension of the social media platform will be lifted.
Quote
Mr Buhari said this during his televised broadcast on Friday to mark Nigeria’s 61st independence anniversary.
He listed the conditions to include the fact that Twitter must pay attention to national security and cohesion; registration, physical presence and representation in Nigeria; fair taxation; dispute resolution and local content.

At this point in time, i think the country state of focus is unanimously jeopardize by it leadership, the proper and adequate preparation needed for implementation of any policy or step of action before publicying it to the general public isn't in place, i thought maybe there would have been a light shed upon the Cryptocurrency ban along with the proported launch oE-Nairaf and effect the lift of ban placed on Twitter rather than stating terms and conditions.

Its an independence day celebration in Nigeria while the citizens were living dependently under the authorization of the rulership government instead of leadership.

67  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Bitcoin Transaction Fee increases Over Bitcoin Price Increase? on: September 29, 2021, 02:29:37 PM
Yes its possible the transaction fees increased, base on the law of economics on demand and supply, but i think a preferably solution has been made to such exoberant transactions fees which brings about the innovations of lightening network, one of the key features is that it make transactions off block chain with the lowest fee and can be faster, easier, and multiple participants can benefited on a single time transaction. Its a multi-sig account created using smart contract.

You can explore for more readings on the lighting network via Basics of Lightning Network

It is also relevant to know very well who you're trading with

Understand market research and survey so you don't get brainwashed

Seek for knowledge and make personal research online

Avoid spamming, and investigate websites very well.

Check their record history and testimonies

Research their office location and physical building

If it is too real to believe then its too risky to invest

Don't go for invest now and gain double of your investment the next day

Lastly research their license and registration details to be legit

69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How are you taking the China Bitcoin Ban? on: September 28, 2021, 11:30:39 PM
Some reports telling that china government's place is second in holding Bitcoin. But we're seeing that china is always publishing negative news about crypto currency / Bitcoin. They've published noticr about banning Bitcoin in a several times.
Ref:

https://www.kevinrooke.com/bitcoin.

What do you think about this? How are you taking this ban?

One thing i know about china is that they really olay tight and safe in their economy irrespective of the situation, the man satoshi who started Bitcoin is a Japanese and not a Chinese, and you could understand very well that china dont jeopardize with their economy system especially when it comes to inventions, dey prefer to start first and others follows.

I also think they are playing safe in order not to devalue their Yuan currency exchange rate if more priority is given to crypto, all inventions in china today were been made by the Chinese including the internet (ip), network, mobile devices, among others, their official language is Chinese, and make use of all finished end products made in china. They also believe in contending power of rule with the USA with due time, all these features couldn't have possibly aid their conviction to adopting Cryptocurrency as it was not invented by them at first.

It is expected of everyone investing to have undergone through a rigorous research and develop a credible level of trust before doing any form of online business.

What they do is termed "imposting" they try to claim whom and what they are not, deleting every record on the victim's hacked account, what a pity, YouTube does not verdict any legal action against such as its a viewers base discretion, but i hope the accounts be quickly noticed and reported ASAP.

Things like this is what gives room to painting crypto a dirty game, as its not regulated makes it had to trace the perpetrators, but guess what, if YouTube truly want to place a track on them it could be achieved because dey have the records of all the IPs address on each account.

How To Mine Bitcoin? Know How It Works And the Computing System That's Needed

I've come to think of it, some people need a principal/primary main idea to how mining Bitcoin works and possibly on a later run develop interest in mining, this article is a paraphrase of what mining Bitcoin is in a bid to educate and pass across the required basic knowledge for mining activities else this topic wouldn't have belong here but it is solely targeted on begginers having one or two questions regarding how btc mining works.

Take note there's much of practical aspect to mining btc than the ones stated in this article
Here is a beginners guide to how mining Bitcoin works, the required devices, techniques and power supply for the mining process. But in a nutshell, here is the summary I've coupled together underlisted.

Computer skills
Electricity power source
Stable Internet supply
High functioning computer system
Mathematics/statistical skills
Knowledge of GPU and ASICS
Develop speedy typing skills
Research other minners
Devote time
Seek fund

Mining Bitcoin is a very technical process and requires huge processing power. Basically, the processing power of the computer will be directly proportional to the rate or mining speed, and thus, profit. So, if a person's computer is slow, it may not produce enough Bitcoins.

To mine Bitcoins, one can use a normal computer that has a CPU, motherboard, RAM, and storage. The only difference and the most important requirement here is the graphics processing unit (GPU) or the video card. A high-performance GPU is an essential aspect if a person wants to mine Bitcoin.

Bitcoin mining is done using specialised hardware called ASICs that stands for Application-Specific Integrated Circuits. This is to tackle the problems of the computer and upgrade the processing power.

The requirement of GPU and ASICs could be collectively heavy on a person's pocket. One also needs to have a constant active internet connection for this work.

The other important aspect is the requirement of electricity for mining machines. It is said that the largest Bitcoin miners were operated in China where the electricity was cheaper as compared to the developed nations.

A person should be able to bear the cost of running a home-based system for mining Bitcoins. Also, a cooling device would be needed to prevent the system from overheating.

Bitcoin mining could be a bright opportunity for digital coin makers but it clearly demands adequate infrastructure to work accordingly.

China to Establish Banks in Nigeria – In the Digital Currency Era, It May Be The Game Changer

Could dis be a gud news to 9ja or a gridlock to economy setback?
I bin dey remember somtimes back wen d govment encourages patronizing awa own home made local items in the likes of cars, rice, maize and fabrics to mention few and I can recall that such action and decision wey bin dey place ban on importation of dis dis dem awa items cause inflation to d market price, nd yet we engaged in buying low quality Nigerian products with no choice.

Bringing China banking sector into operation in Nigeria 2me is like going back to an era of colonization in disguise or claiming dependency on China 4 economi survival. If una fit remember dem USA, dey will dash u N5 and take am collect N50 back from u.

Abeg wetin una tink frm una own aspect on top dis opata mata?

the world’s second-largest economy is moving to establish its presence in the Nigerian banking industry.

This, the envoy said, would boost Nigeria’s economy and expand trade relations between the two nations.

When you list the world’s 10 big banks, six are in China. The banking sector is very important because, without money, we cannot build our industries,”

However, China’s move to add banking to its menu of businesses in Nigeria has come at a time when the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is moving to establish the Nigerian International Financial Centre (NIFC), in a bid to put Nigerian banks in a global spot.

Una dey hear talk.... dis bin one of dem reasons, d wisemen talk bin say " use wetin u get achif wetin u want" e no dey work for dis kind mata o
76  Economy / Economics / E-Naira: CBN to launches Nigeria’s digital currency on: September 23, 2021, 09:08:38 AM
Well this is a new development on itself to the citizens if all things would have been in place, a saying goes and I quote "experience is the perfect teacher" in a bid to this milestone journey of E-Naira, I expect them to have pursuit the experience of digital currency of Cryptocurrency adoption and study how it operate within a time frame of three years at minimum before deciding on how to improve the digital currency by launching E-Naira.

Also the government should have work on setting the economy to stability and put in place strategies to alleviate hunger and poverty which could be one of the means to lessen social vises, much is expected to come along with the launch of the E-Naira as part of the Independence day celebration.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will launch a digital currency, e-Naira in October to coincide with the nation’s independence anniversary.

The apex bank chief urged Nigerians to embrace the e-Naira and explained it is safer than cryptocurrencies.

Digital currency is the electronic form of fiat money issued by governments.

he central bank of a country supervises digital currency. Cryptocurrencies are not regulated by any government, reason why authorities warn against bitcoin, ethereum and the likes.

The e-Naira would only exist in digital and electronic form. Individuals and financial institutions can track transactions easier.

e-Naira local and international transfers can be made within a little time and at cheaper rates. It simplifies cross-border trade and guarantees a faster inflow of remittances.

All these are fictions not base on fact, Cryptocurrency had reasonable answers to them all:
1. Cryptocurrency isn't a scam or fraudulent scheme of digital currency, it has reliable exchanges that operate and more secured than Fiat banks

2. Talking about digital Fiat currency, it involve a third party transactions and the charges are much unregulated, while crypto is lesser on transaction fee, faster and it's only a peer to peer exchange with no third party, example is when you go the market and made purchase, you don't need a third party to intermediate between you and the seller, you buy directly.

3. The word regulated in this context is been misinterpreted for tax and exuberant charges, any third party transaction is incomparable to a peer to peer one, a decentralized market has more adge then the government control system of Fiat, where you get to the bank for KYÇ related issues, time delay with excessive charges on transaction operations and services rendered while you can do these all by yourself in Cryptocurrency.

To me I will employ the government to consider adopting Cryptocurrency first along side with the launch of it digital currency (E-Naira) and the citizens will decide the best and convinient choice, the teaming youths where in perplex towards the new launch but it would have been so good if Cryptocurrency adoption goes along with it.

There's a saying and I quote "If you desired the moon then target the sun so that if you don't arrived at the sun you will definitely landed at your desired moon" this means it's always good to set our Target high with curious priority, if we didn't achieve all we would be close to almost achieving all.

Thanks to God and to all our local admins here in the likes of Boss of the bosses @CryptopreneurBrainboss, @CharlseTim, @Igehhh and all the active members of the naija thread for our cordial support and efforts, if we can achieve this, then we can achieve better (local board).
78  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Regulate cryptocurrency trading now to check high profile crimes on: September 22, 2021, 11:36:32 PM
Regulate cryptocurrency trading now to check high profile crimes, ICPC tells NASS

The fact that Nigerian youths are mostly into online businesses such as networking, Cryptocurrency, digital marketing and forex trading to mention few does not eqaute to doing Yahoo.

Secondly Cryptocurrency on its own is self regulated, we don't need govt hand in it, govt is yet to track down the perpetrators of insurgencies, kidnapping and corrupt politicians, this were known individuals who can be traceable but yet nothing done, our youth sort for an alternative means for survival despite the government neglegence to ameliorate bad to good yet they want to track, and take control of the crypto transactions, their own economy system regulated has nothing to show forth than depreciation and yet want to regulate Cryptocurrency. (Wrong conception).

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, has asked the National Assembly to come up with legislation that would regulate cryptocurrency trading to stop operators from using it to perpetrate heinous crimes.

Am yet to believe that crypto is now being used for ransom in Nigeria by kidnappers and bandits but if true, then crypto is taking over gradually. In Nigerian market, one item of commodity can be seen with different prices from various sellers, yet claimed regulated by the govt...Who controls the buying and selling price in the market, who authenticate my source of income and other respective buyers, if I buy a fake or substandard product who Is in charge, there are many fake, substandard, foggery and scams out there, isn't there govt whom we pay duly tax, commissions and who is charged with he responsibility of the so called regulations and policy implementation failed?

If they scamedd you of fake bank alert or ATM related fraud, does the regulated body sit to ensure your fund is refunded back.... Shame, they had better leave our sustaining crypto for us as it's more safer even than their own so called regulated old traditional Fiat system.

God bless our hustle!
Crown our efforts!
Provide for our daily bread!
In Nigeria, any online business is termed Yahoo Yahoo and scam. (Wrong mentality)

The anti-graft agency lamented that kidnappers, bandits now use the medium to carry out high profile crimes like money laundering and payment of ransom for kidnappers

“Corruption in digital assets are not easily traceable for instance if somebody steals billions of Naira and converts it quickly into cryptocurrency, it’s almost impossible to trace it.
79  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria Local Board, All board discussion welcomed. {No Official Language} on: September 19, 2021, 03:19:09 PM
It baffles me seeing the way our govt take the economy mata with levity hand, where on Earth is the abokifx the determinant to our naira value depreciating, that means they would have also blame Cryptocurrency as the major cause due to our active participation in it, what a coconut head thinkers are the people representing us.

I like what the abokifx responded in this regards, they also have learnt how to play along

WHO WE ARE
abokiFX was established in 2014 as a research and information service company, to conduct market research and gather data on the parallel market rates.

abokiFX purely provides benchmark parallel rate information which helps guide our users in almost 200 countries across the world.
abokiFX does NOT TRADE FX, which we have always maintained in our emails and social media platforms

See blasting... I don't know if someone can see the last sentence below same as I dey see am, they remind the govt of the price dollar was to naira at their inception in 2014 which has keep on getting worse before and after abokifx was created.  In this regards can we say our government lack jurisdiction to economy management and policy from the begining or we the Nigerians are yet to identify what and who we needed to govern us right.

We are the only entity in Nigeria that has a full set of parallel rates, right from our inception in 2014 when the exchange rate was trading at N166 to $1.
80  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What we think is a quality post on: September 19, 2021, 02:01:05 PM
A quality post is a post that is answerable to a question, and also a post that brings a solution to a question even though it's a two lines stanza of an article.

So far so good, I've also been in such shoe of a low quality poster. But base on my own understanding of what a quality post ethics of this forum is, I've come up with three cognate points to note:

1. In making a quality post, it's either you start a topic or comment on an existing topic, but either of the two your opinion and personal view is more important regarding any post made, therefore your post must have taughts.

2. Some do copy and paste and include the link with a quote in the name of a quality post, such is termed "low quality post" as it is required of you to read, digest and assimilate an article and share your own taught from a different perspective regarding the post, thou copy and paste with link and quote isn't against the forum rules but we need to be constructive and taughtful in our post as such is the recommended standard required by the forum.

3. Either a post is short or long does not matter but what matters is the main idea behind the post to be understandable and reasonable, then it can be able to generate merit, a quality post is worth desiring to be merited, when it's full of taughts and generate ideas and has a good composition regardless of how short or long it might be.
