61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitPay to Sponsor St. Petersburg Bowl in First Major Bitcoin Sports Deal on: June 23, 2014, 12:24:03 PM
Are we going to see a Bitcoin/Bitpay ad in the SuperBowl a few weeks later? : )
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Marshall's auction.... It's a trap !!! on: June 23, 2014, 12:22:28 PM
I know this would not happen but.. How funny it would be if their bank account was closed for selling bitcoins. xD
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1,000,000 bits = 1 bitcoin. Future-proofing Bitcoin for common usage? VOTE on: June 23, 2014, 12:19:46 PM
College chemistry freshmen didn't know the prefix giga? I'm starting to think that all this bitcoin and innovation stuff is moot, as we are clearly stumbling into the future from Idiocracy!

I have this friend who got really strange results in his Bachelor's thesis because he got the decimal point wrong while entering a material constant into the simulation software Comsol Multiphysics. Decimal points are hard, even for chemistry or physics majors.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 50 cent accepts Bitcoin as payment for his new album on: June 16, 2014, 06:27:24 AM
I don't really like this kind of music but I support the idea!  Wink
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PlutoPete vs. FBI on: June 16, 2014, 06:20:59 AM
Sounds like a scheme to get donations. I'm really surprised this thread isn't jumping to that conclusion immediatelly considering every other post: "I heard the wind blowing last night and thought I saw a siren ... therefore I'm pretty sure the feds have control of SR, WHAT DO YOU THINK?!?1"
66  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Documentary Kickstarter project at almost 50% funding. on: June 16, 2014, 06:14:28 AM
I can't wait to become a Zimbabwean Trillionaire!! Cheesy
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why marketoracle said bitcoin is perfect scam? on: June 16, 2014, 06:06:12 AM
I can't hardly tell if the guy is joking or not, especially when he starts talking about the 800K BTC that were stolen from MTGox never existed in the first place!
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is financial blogger Karl Denninger censoring his own anti-Bitcoin articles?? on: June 16, 2014, 05:59:18 AM
The main one I notice is that he spends a lot of time destroying a straw man argument - that Bitcoin will replace national currencies. I don't think most people expect Bitcoin to replace national currencies; it fills a niche demand for methods of transferring wealth outside the traditional financial system.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Didn't Bitcoin ban China? on: June 01, 2014, 10:38:42 AM
There has been a lot of talk recently about China's multiple "bans" of Bitcoin. Let's be frank, Bitcoin will thrive with or without China. As I was taught in economics 101, in the long run, the market always wins. The vast Chinese citizenry need Bitcoin more than Bitcoin needs China.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone here get paid in Bitcoin? on: June 01, 2014, 10:32:20 AM
I'm pretty sure if any legitimate business with more than maybe 5 employees tried to pay any of their employees in Bitcoin in the UK their accountant would intervene.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terracoin is ALLIIIIIVEEEE on: June 01, 2014, 10:22:29 AM
People tend to forget the sort of troubles that Litecoin and even Bitcoin underwent early on. Personally I hope to see Terracoin as at least a partial solution to fast transactions. I don't think it will 'replace' Bitcoin but rather complement it. That's not to say that this will absolutely happen, but rather that it may if we support it.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terracoin is ALLIIIIIVEEEE on: June 01, 2014, 10:16:13 AM
I think Terracoin has gotten a bit of a bad rap recently. While it isn't terribly inventive, it has been relatively well implemented save the recent hiccup.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: June 01, 2014, 10:09:49 AM
Nice, I have good experience with them.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Millionaires on: May 29, 2014, 07:13:57 PM
If you did cash out a million dollars to your bank account, aren't there some legal/technical issues to consider, right?
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bali Plans to Become a Bitcoin Paradise Island? on: May 29, 2014, 07:06:30 PM
I read this team wants to turn Bali into Bitcoin Island http://www.techinasia.com/team-turn-bali-bitcoin-island/
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uk have confirmed 5 bitcoin ATM on: May 29, 2014, 07:00:07 PM
Let's hope that this will be another good push towards making crypto mainstream!

Rare thing I'm glad to see becoming mainstream!
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Tests $600 on Strong US Volume on: May 29, 2014, 06:53:50 PM
Still, Bitcoin faces challenges in the days ahead that are not trivial. There is still the question of whether Bitcoin developers can keep ahead of hackers and scammers and, right now, the consumer protections against Bitcoin theft are largely informal.

For me these challenges seem pretty trivial.
78  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Bitcoin Valuation Report on: May 29, 2014, 06:47:07 PM
No one is going to pay you .5 BTC for your report. Instead you should post it and if it is quality work people will donate to you, you will make much more.
