61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I predict stricter regulations for bitcoin and the cryptospace for 2021-2024 on: October 10, 2021, 01:18:14 PM
And Philippines is also starting to level up in their crypto regulations as well:
And for the worse, their doing something that's not going to benefit a lot of people in the crypto community, have you heard of the taxes that they're planning to put in action? Another one that's scarier is their even making the online payment app transactions taxable.

In our country? I have not been updated of what the laws in our country but have not used our coinsph for a long time. Taxing transactions are already done even today when we buy something on fast-food, you can see receipts to have tax taken from us.

Sec. Gensler is way worse than this because once their bill will be approved by the Senate, it could be worse. They gave up their first plan but this time they are up to regulate stablecoins.
62  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I need to learn techincal Analysis? on: October 10, 2021, 12:48:17 PM
I invested in cryptocurrency in March of this year for Experimental. What I understand is that you should not invest only by reading the post or by searching Google. I should learn market analysis. Or there is another way to understand the market?

You only need to learn technical analysis if you wanna do crypto trading. Investing is a different kind of game. When you invest in a specific coin or token, you should have done your own research (DYOR). I assume that you didn’t do that when you have invested in a certain cryptocurrency last March. It’s important that you should take time learning about a specific cryptocurrency along with its roadmap, future plans, etc., before deciding to invest.

Sometimes an investor is left with no choice but to learn to trade.
Eventually, he will trade his coins to fiat that is why he needs still to understand technical analysis when that time comes. Selling and buying at the right time can be determined when he knows how to read the indicators. Buy when it dips as they say but he can only know the dip is the dip when he learned TA.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best altcoins to hold during a bear market? on: October 10, 2021, 08:29:36 AM
I don't expect a bear and bull market war, long term formations should be planned, not much of a big advantage in the short term but the long term benefits will be much bigger.  ETH, Solana, Avax, ADA all have good long-term growth instincts even when the bitcoin bear market kicks in.  But in the future when bitcoin is widely accepted as legal, alts will have an even bigger struggle.

BTC is already accepted widely and altcoins are struggling even today and the more they will struggle when the bear market begins.
You wouldn't want to lose money while holding altcoins when there is a bear market. The ones who do that are wasting the opportunity, you wait and expect a profit when bull run we should also be expecting profit from the bear market.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT for money laundering? on: October 10, 2021, 07:56:15 AM
~snip~

I just can't think of a way of HOW money laundering will be done in or thru NFT? Somebody can care to explain?

Neither do I. ~snip~
The simplest scenario about how it probably works is like this, let's say you have some illegal coin that you get from whatever illicit things. In order to easily cash out the money, you can simply mint an NFT, set an enormous amount,  and then buy it on your own. Your illegal coins are now becoming a clean coin, that you can state it comes from selling NFT. In short, you buy your own NFT.

At least, that is what I comprehend from knowing it across many news and some opinion. Things are, I didn't deny that scenario likely could happen so easily. But in another hand, no matter what the regulatory outcomes, IMO, NFT is a great thing that I'm sure is here to stay.

Buying my own NFT with the dirty money makes sense. Maybe those NTFS with astonishing prices like the Bitcoin Angel or the "disaster girl" NFT are laundering kind of transactions.

But probably not all, I have been in many NTF marketplace and I can see NFTS are very high quality but prices are just 0.02ETH. These are probably the bonafide ones created in good faith.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT for money laundering? on: October 09, 2021, 08:59:57 AM
I have speculated that NFT will be the next part of the cryptospace where much of the money laundering and tax evasion might occur. Why is this? This is because NFT is art and much of the art world is unregulated.

I don't think it's something new. Crypto, whatever the trend, be it ICO, Defi, NFT is always subject to money laundering or any fraudulent activity even before.

I just can't think of a way of HOW money laundering will be done in or thru NFT? Somebody can care to explain?

Neither do I. It's probably true that NFTs will be used for money laundering since he said art is not regulated. A lot of things can be done when markets are unregulated. I just can't see how enormous the prices are when in fact those .pngs are much like created by a 10year old kid. But it's still a mystery to me how it could be done.

The bidding of NFTs marketplaces seems to be legit. I'm tempted to create NFT with some of the artworks I've made and upload them on marketplaces.

Wall Street Could Get Four Bitcoin Futures ETFs by Month-End and I was just listening to podcast earlier today which they are high on approval including the big Investment companies like ProShares, Valkyrie, Invesco, and Galaxy. The approval of  Volt Crypto Industry Revolution and Tech ETF (BTCR) is reasonable enough to hope for BTC ETF as well. This had been awaited for years, it should be time to approve it as Bitcoin is too big to fail.
67  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia Claims Portal Registration on: October 09, 2021, 03:07:58 AM
~snip~

What sort of compliance it is which have no check and balance ?

If they are not serious on refunding anyone, why they are interested in collecting this data and wasting our time. I have forgotten about the Cryptopia exchange but this email brings my memory back and make me sad that i lost nearly one full bitcoin (though bitcoin was not that huge price at that time).

Everything they do because they are legally compelled to. They cannot simply abandon the ship at this point. Otherwise, multiple cases will be filed against them. So what choice do they have? They have to show that they are doing something. They have to show that there are developments resulting from their efforts. But I'm afraid this is all just minimum compliance. In other words, just a show. But I hope I'm wrong.

Many of us lost a good amount when we consider the price of BTC today. They still make us complete the data just to keep us on the ledge. Maybe they are waiting until there is a real infrastructure bill to comply with. I'm not hopeful to actaully get my coins back, it's best to just consider the coins lost.

I think I have some ShadowCash in cryptopia that I forgot to turn into BTC because I thought it will really complete the top privacy coins, scam coins are not worth getting back.
68  Economy / Economics / Re: Are banks needed for crypto? on: October 09, 2021, 02:24:08 AM
What is a Bank in common man's view ?

A place where one can make use when there is financial need. The service is provided through collateral and several other means, though the banking network is taking control of people's money there is some form of connection and trust.

Now when we talk of what's the need of Bank for cryptocurrency. In my country everyone is made to create a bank account. There are exceptions without banking account. When we think of taking the cryptocurrency among the entire population, banks can be used as a channel and it gives people more trust than reaching people through other means.

Its the other way round this time. Banks need crypto and blockchain to become useful for the people who engage in the blockchain.

Today I read some news from the cointelegraph about a bank in El Salvador working with the Bitcoin Defi platform Sovryn which is popular in the forum. Developers I think are happy to work with banks as well to spread the adoption.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most performing altcoin for October on: October 09, 2021, 02:12:53 AM

The best performing so far which rose up to 300% was SHIB, it's not the best coin to invest though as some would say but if you plan to ride the spike of the prices, it could be your best money making investment as long as you could withdraw at the right moment.

But so far there are more that is unknown when you check the coinmarketcap as they list the best gainer every day.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Cryptos and NFTs are you Excited about? on: October 08, 2021, 04:03:36 AM

I'm a fan of an influencer who promoted ECOMI https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ecomi/
This is a new NFT project but had been giving me a good profit. It's a  gaming and an NFT profit for protecting collectible digital assets.

I know there are already lots of platforms to buy and sell NFTs today but what I'm excited about is the ease of use in creating your own NFT and new revenue streams for artists to have their own gallery on the iOS app.

71  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth as the major religions in world. on: October 08, 2021, 03:06:03 AM
This is true, we are all working for us to earn more money, money is everything, it really gives so much satisfaction to us, that is why there are some people who do bad things just to earn money because they also want to experience things that rich people can do, but money is just a piece of paper, the most important things in this world is our family, loved ones and respect.
Most of us already know the struggle of not having enough money so we can't blame people for accumulating more money just for the sake of wealth. Pressure regarding this matter will always exist especially in this world where competition always exists. Some of us are accumulating money just to survive.
We are in this world to work, earn money, and experience things that needed money first. I am from a poor family and I really aim to get rich, well I am still student and there are still a lot of thing that I can do to earn money, thankfully this crypto world helps me.

Money is the power that is why countries are expanding and even colonizing continents they have never setfoot drawing some lines for their ownership and trading slaves in the first place. It's a nasty business but it had go on for centuries, Britain had colonized African countries and started the slave trade for the accumulation of wealth and resources. If you don't have money today, you will just end up asking from your parents or work for someone like a slave.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More on: October 08, 2021, 02:48:38 AM

Did anyone ever tried delegating to another pool while still delegated to one pool?
I'm worried if I lose the ADA I have earned from the pool where I stake my ADA for a long time. This is because I have learned the MELD project where If I stake on their pool, I will not just earn ADA but also their MELD tokens.

My question is that if I delegate to another pool like the MELD1 pool, will I still get the ADA I have earned from the previous pool or should I withdraw first?

Can you tell us what sort of job?
I'm active in upwork all the time as I have a contract there running for years. My fiverr, however, is not active but I did made some transactions before so I can activate it if needed.
75  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will FTX be New Binance in Next Bull Run of 2025? on: September 26, 2021, 01:36:54 PM

You have just revealed to everyone that bullrun will take place in 2025. Despite all the expectations and shilling about the price of BTC going $100K by December.

FTX token is a high value even when it was first released. I have not used the exchange but because this is a centralized exchange, this will l also be asking for our KYC data. Does the exchange also have plans for FTX smartcontract?
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin really resist inflation? on: September 26, 2021, 07:15:25 AM

You can consider BTC a hedge to inflation when the price goes up and it always does go up but this is still a speculative asset that goes up and down too. And there are lots of factors affecting its price to drop. Luckily, it has a limited supply which is the advantage of it because of high demands. What is needed for it to go up is for people to take their BTC out of the exchange circulation.
77  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin slumps as China bans all cryptocurrency transactions on: September 25, 2021, 03:39:35 AM
China seems to have its own policy that does not support the global crypto market. maybe china has a different view of the global market or has a specific goal towards bitcoin. But what China is doing is very detrimental to the global market and disrupts the market. China should be able to think more about its policies so that the global crypto market can continue to run

Just when you thought the price will recover faster after the dip, China wants to push it down. They have done this before and they know BTC won't die that way.
The government clearly doesn't want cryptocurrency mining, in general, that's very clear at least.

But regulations about Bitcoin and owning cryptocurrencies have different rules for this country and I think the same is happening in most countries even in the US the regulations is not very clear.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What crypto projects best facilitate obtaining passive income? on: September 24, 2021, 04:34:51 AM
I believe that earning passive income is the main path to financial freedom. Various altcoins and their projects have established various strategies for their investors to earn passive income, but not all are as effective or easy.

What crypto projects have the best features for obtaining passive income?
So far, people are using staking and yield farming to make passive income, but I still don't think that's what passive income is meant for. to be honest, so far, I'm also still looking for such a thing. people sometimes use stacking or yield farming on pancakeswap, or other DEXs.
But, before doing that, you need to know the risks. In my opinion, if you are really looking for passive income, you need to create an offline business that you can control yourself. well, that's my suggestion. however, if you still want to try to find passive income in the crypto world, staking, and yield farming you can try DEX or CEX which provides it.

That made my eyes rolling but your right about staking. There is not much for passive income in crypto but mostly related to staking which also has risks. Just like mining cryptocurrency either bitcoin or altcoins, you will still have risk to the devices you are using.

Mining is a good way for passive income, you just have to devote some funds you earn for the maintenance of the devices, and for replacements, the devices are expensive like the GPUs.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now you can pay highway tolls using Bitcoin on: September 24, 2021, 02:30:10 AM
Here is really a good news for us .With the new FASTag feature, users can choose among 17 operators and enter the vehicle registration number and FASTag top-up amount, which can be anywhere between Rs 100 to Rs 10,000 worth of Bitcoin.

source @yourstory
While it is fascinating to witness the growing adoption of bitcoin in a country that hasn't yet fully legalized bitcoin, I still see some issues with the news you've provided a link to. After reading the article, it became clear that you have to use unnecessary intermediaries to pay highway tolls. For example, you have to trust Unocoin Wallet with your bitcoins (please note, they stop being yours after you handed them over to a third party) because they will have full control over private keys unlocking bitcoins on your balance. This means you are not using bitcoins here, at least you are not using them directly for payments. Bitcoin was meant to minimize counterparty risk or avoid it completely, but in the case of Unocoin Wallet, the risk still exists. It doesn't matter how reputable this exchange is or how long it is on the market, it will freeze your funds should the Indian government changes their mind and banned bitcoin entirely. Moreover, why spend bitcoin on small payments if you can easily pay your bills with fiat?

I understand your general concern about "Not your keys Not your Coins" but I would think that The National Highway Authority of India would be an Indian Government body in charge of transportation Undecided and from this quote "The National Highway Authority of India operates FASTag as a mandatory payment system to enable contactless toll payment for vehicles." it would seem as though the Indian government has some sort of approval for this operation. However, I would also think, individuals, can only credit the amount of bitcoin they would need at a time for safety.

Would this mean that the Indian government will likely adopt Bitcoin?

Not everyone in the country has Bitcoin, it will be a good idea to first adopt Bitcoin and fix the laws there and then incentivize users of the fasttag for it to have more users. If this is just adopted in El Salvador, it's going to be an easy job for their government that in matter of days, more than 50% of the vehicles passingby will pay in BTC.

80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: feel like never wanting to use crypto again on: September 24, 2021, 01:26:40 AM

You are not alone, we all have a bad experience in crypto but look at us now. We are investing in cryptocurrencies still and even join campaigns in the forum. The more you lose in crypto the more I get excited about how much I could profit from holding some tokens too.

Another bull market will renew your interest in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, it just needs few months to see it happen again.
