A dystopian society is characterized with many different characters and models. And in my opinion every society in the world now is a dystopian society just that some are worst off than others. We can find different characterstics that exists ranging from all that the Op listed and in extension to many others. AFAIK, a  society where racism exist is a dystopian, where poverty and illiteracy is the order of the day, where oppression is so conspicuous with no one doing anything about it, where there is a high increase in greenhouse gas affecting the atmosphere etc.

Racism is a human nature my friend, just look up the "Burakumin" in Japan.
they are Ethnic Japanese yet they get treated differently than other Japanese .
in 2024 Japan is 98% Japanese and before that they were more than 99.3% and yet those people been treated worse than animals since 500 B.C.
hell you can't even see the difference between them and other Japs but since there are no minority Japanese people created their own minority and start to be racist against them.
Racism is human nature my friend, even the Ethno states such as Japan have racism.
It doesn't sound right to say racism is a human nature, the idea only tries to justify any form of dehumanization inflicted on others by any racist or group of racists who in anyway see themselves better suited or superior than others.what do we say about the caste system which to me is an unfair social stratification system ideologized by those it favours how much more racism which is the worst in it's order.  Generally, dystopian society has to do with a dysfunctional state of things in that society of which racism includes.

64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can someone take gambling as a source of income to he/she life? on: June 09, 2024, 10:53:57 PM
I said let me express my feelings towards this to forum gambling discussion, if their are people who are living in this kind of lifestyle. And what will be your opinion towards the people living in this kind of lifestyle everyday of their life's?
If you play all day because you have nothing to do in the hope of being able to expect money from winnings, of course that's a stupid idea.
No matter what someone's situation is, in gambling there is no such thing as mercy. Gambling does not look at who the players are playing and what the situation is, whether it is difficult or happy.
.
Daily gambling because a person doesn't have anything meaningful or a job is not an excuse, that's just been lazy and stupid at same time. Why not take such time in search of a job, could be physical search or online rather than increasing your suffering by depending on gambling, an activity that doesn't bring the favour to the gamblers'side but to the casino, the hedge all theirs.  Additionally, it will very difficult to make gambling a means of making money by gambling daily and not get into gambling addiction.  It's very much not possible.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: Worldcup qualifiers - CAF. on: June 09, 2024, 10:40:48 PM
If you ask me, I'd say the Eagles take international games less important than they do at their clubs.

That's the problem with all African players that are playing in Europe in fact. They care a lot about their teams more than their nations. They make less efforts and contacts to avoid injuries.. You can see Salah in Liverpool and with Egypt, you feel like there is two players with the same name. Same for so many players in Nigeria or other nations.
Talking about Nigeria, they will have a game tomorrow against Benin which is third in the group for the moment and Nigeria is expected to win and jump in front of them.
Am not sure about other country football federations how they treat their national players in terms of pay every bit of numerations and giving much of undiluted priority to critically injured players from an international match for the nation but for the case of  Nigeria I guess past experiences has taught most of these players to act in the manner they do. We all know the bitter truth about this compared to how these players club sides treats and attend to them. If I was a footballer I wonder where you be expecting to give my totality.

In tomorrow's game Nigeria has to win to have a much better chance of qualifying for the WC. Finidi has to make sure to grab this three points at all cost.
66  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What Would you have done differently if you restart your journey with Bitcoin? on: June 08, 2024, 10:08:18 PM

4. Your favourite or best time with Bitcoin?

5. How do you see Bitcoin in the next 50 years?
Not so sure if my favourite time with bitcoin has really taken place, I shouldn't be in a rush to say anything for now till I witness what I wish to term my first bull run as an active hodler.

Anyone who have been in this space for some time now and have studied the past and present performances of the bitcoin market will have much reasons to be optimistic about bitcoin future in the next 5 decades ahead. For now we just keep hodling.
67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tell me the unexpected problems you've encountered in a casino? on: June 07, 2024, 10:14:59 PM
I haven't encountered a single problem in most reputable casinos I have played. The reason is simple and that is I have always done KYC up to level 2 at least, never used a VPN,never cheated and never use multi accounts.I pointed all these things here for the simple reason that I want to say as long as someone abide by the rules unexpected problems won't happen and in the rare case they do then I am 100% sure that is going to be solved in the fastest possible way exactly for this reason, you have abided by the rules.
some gamblers abide by all the rules and ToS as provided but still get lynched by these casino's all because they aren't reputable as they claimed which is why it's very necessary to make use of actual genuine casinos who have the interest of their customers and value their reputation too. The beauty of making use of reputable casinos that while you keep to the ToS as you gamble you're sure of no victimization of any kind just to deny you of your win. Moat often, these illegal allegations by dishonest casino's comes at a time when the gambler might have won some huge money and they want to deny him using those charges.
68  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: June 07, 2024, 09:13:44 PM
Modified means other than standard pushup.

You can modify a pushup many ways. Your wife can sit on your back while you are in standard position that would be harder to do.
Caution: Make sure anybody sitting on your back while you do your pushups is someone with weight mass 2 or 3 times less than yours to avoid endangering your spinal cord or any part of your body. We all need to celebrate the 100k bitcoin price under a complete wellness condition. I think modified/standard pushups should only be carried out only by those persons that are with the strength to, otherwise the causal pushups are still valid.
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: June 07, 2024, 07:47:30 PM
I believe this is why we’re here to raise concerning conversations and talk about ways to simplify investments and derive the best possible outcome, most new comers getting into crypto and buying Bitcoin come bearing the same thing in mind which is investing for a short period of time.

This only emphasizes the usefulness of this platform and threads like this aimed at educating investors on how to buy and hold which is the anthem of all crypto enthusiasts hoping to become mighty whales some day.

You are obviously generalizing every other cryptos as Bitcoin which is contracting the point you are trying to make because there is a big difference between cryptos and Bitcoin, so perhaps if you're trying to prove a point you should use the word Bitcoin instead of mixing it with cryptos because when you mention cryptos you are obviously referring to other shitcoins which is not the reason why we are all here, though you seem to be sounded so interested on cryptos so if truly that's what you meant I would suggest you change your investment to Bitcoin because cryptos are not worth investing your money .
It appears that @Briankimp1 is visiting this thread discussion for the first time which is why he is using the word cryptocurrency which is a generalization of all altcoins and bitcoin together but in this regard we are focused on bitcoin as a leading cryptocurrency which is reliable for a long term investment for investors, unlike altcoins that are projects not good for investment whether short or long.  But bitcoin is basically profitable in a long term investment that is why the DCA strategy comes in handy in accumulating for the long.

wondering why there is a need for new team members? does it mean that those previous are not functional anymore?
It's pretty obvious, isn't it? The previous team members either voluntarily left themselves or were removed for various reasons which is why they are trying to hire new members as quickly as possible.

Their reputation took a big hit recently which is why they need  to do a lot of right moves in order to appease their customers.
Whether previous team members were removed or they voluntarily left it's no new thing, in any organization when a team isn't giving sufficient performance or bringing in the results expected of them by the management, laying them off to bring in new hands becomes necessary. Freebitcoin have their personal reasons for a new team and it's likely part of efforts to meeting every users complains and getting things to work optimally with their platform.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Season on: June 06, 2024, 06:36:16 PM
The Mbappe fever, this move is  what has given the much hype for a high high chances of expectations on rela madrid repeatedly winning the champions league trophy next season. I hope a lot of us don't get disappointed because for me this move doesn't change much of a thing in the madrid squad, and here's why.

Madrid is a club that every football player wanna association himself with in their career, they have made a standard for themself with any kind of European trophy you can think of in their massive numbers, and currently there are great super stars like Vini Jnr, Rodrygo, Carvajal, Valverde, Camavingha, J. Bellingham, etc,  already in the club making waves in all competitors, so Mbappe coming in is just an inclusion of these beasts which I think he is not coming in as a messiah to the team but as a part to a whole.

It's important I remind us all that there was a time of the gallaticus  but not much of a European title was attached to the squad, and just maybe, let it not be that Mbappe is arriving at a time when there could be a little pause in the streaks of champion's league trophy wins for real madrid.
I do not think that Real would have that kind of pause this time around. Don't get me wrong, I remember that prime Ronaldo times (both Ronaldos) and there were times when they didn't do as well as they hoped. But looking at how they have been recently, and looking at how they have grown, I can say that it is not going to be all that hard for them to win it again and again. I am not saying that they "will", just saying it's quite possible.

Looking at the teams in the world right, I would say they have the biggest chance to win it compared to any other team which is why I would bet for them. It is not out yet, but when it's out, I am going to play to them on outrights to win the UCL at the start of the season, it is not guaranteed, but it's likely.
I am not omitting the obvious fact that real madrid among other teams in the champions league competition is the team with the highest chances of winning due to the pedigree of their squad and the head coach in charge of the team, all what my concern is about is how the elaborated hyping-fever about kalian Mbappe now being a part of the squad which to many fans it's as though real madrid are just a 100% sure of winning the champions league trophy. They may have the highest chances but certainty is what fortune haven't ordained yet.
72  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Reach 100k USD in 2025? on: June 06, 2024, 06:22:12 PM
Hi everyone,

There's a lot of talk about BTCBitcoin potentially reaching 100,000 USD in the next year. What do you think? Can BTC hit 100k in 2024? Huh

Looking forward to your thoughts.

Cheers,
tikemyson
If you had taken a critical research on how the price of bitcoin has been moving upwards more often than it falls even before the halving took place we have had a new ATH for bitcoin which are a significant indication that bitcoin can get to 100k$ before this year 2024 elapses. Some group of investors believes that the US presidential election in view is one major event that can have a significant impact on the price of bitcoin, I don't know how that works, but am curious to see if it's possible about what they say as we wait for the election to kickstart.
73  Economy / Economics / Re: True wealth comes from income when you sleeping but earning on: June 04, 2024, 08:33:09 PM
Invest as much as you can in Bitcoin, you will earn income even when you sleep. You can sleep soundly without having to think about negative things such as losses or so on, as long as you are able to maintain the security of your private key well, nothing can make you anxious about the assets you store.
I chose one of the three ways you mentioned, namely Bitcoin. DCA is a strategy used when investing, you can buy Bitcoin consistently with the same amount at regular intervals. When you already have Bitcoin, believe me, you will sleep soundly and Bitcoin can also increase your wealth.
Not saying Bitcoin is a bad investment, but it's incorrect if you say you will earn even when you sleep. If you didn't sell your coins, it's just an unrealized profit and if you're keep DCA-ing Bitcoin, this mean you still have a job to fulfill your monthly needs, not living by only with Bitcoin investment..
You can't invest in cryptocurrency and be sleeping in that your money is making profits for you, it might be partially correct with bitcoin investment but adding altcoins to the equation makes this sound odd especially with how sharp the volatility of all of these altcoins are, sleeping on them can put you to a loss if you ain't keeping steady track of them. We all know cryptocurrency investment is one mainstream investment right now that has changed the financial system from what it used to be but for me in my view it's not something you invest in and sleep on it withoit expecting anything of the negative to possibly occur. It's not that perfect.
74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 04, 2024, 12:56:37 PM
The point you raise is perfectly valid and the performance given by Aston Villa is simply amazing but the talk is not about the whole team or management it's only about Ten Hag i just said that Ten Hag will surely give his best and you can see the amazing Man U comeback.
When the season is over and the new season is coming up there is always such speculation about some managers and teams. So amazing things are already being talked about before they happen which have never happened as is being talked about now. Ten Hag needs a new and more modern way of coaching a team and in placing players in each game he plays. Because without a good strategy and tactics for a team like Manchester United, I think changes in any way will never go according to plan.
What I think @fadhilz about Manchester united is that the problem in their average show of performance this previous season isn't entirely the making of Ten Hag it has so much to do with the club owners and a few players that are still in the team. The club owners ain't giving the coach the maximum support to make his choices of players and we saw that during the beginning of this just concluded season, how you then expect his tactics to go hand in hand with players not fully handpicked by the team coach.

Before a coach makes a move for a player he believes the player plays his kindbof pattern so it makes it easier for both. Looking at the other side, if you can recall there were players Ten hag didn't used in that  FA cup finals against City and you saw how Manchester united played, it was shockingly for most of us, and this was because some of the players that have supposed to leave the club weren't fixture in that match. I don't mention names but we know those players that ain't needed any more on order for the club to make good success next season.
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Season on: June 04, 2024, 12:06:30 PM
Here are the winning chance of each team to become a champion in the next season:

60% for Real Madrid
39% for Manchester City
1% for Arsenal, Inter, Milan, Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munich, Leverkusen etc. Tongue

Real Madrid without Mbappe can still become a champion in this season, so it's no doubt majority of people will believe in Real Madrid.
The Mbappe fever, this move is  what has given the much hype for a high high chances of expectations on rela madrid repeatedly winning the champions league trophy next season. I hope a lot of us don't get disappointed because for me this move doesn't change much of a thing in the madrid squad, and here's why.

76  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Aggressive Bitcoin investment. on: June 03, 2024, 10:55:26 PM
If you Invest 80k on bitcoin how much will you use for feeding and running family expenses? Or how much will you set aside for emergency and reserved? Surely if you over invest in Bitcoin, the 50k available amount will not be enough for  emergency and reserved. Definitely it will affect your bitcoin HODLing.

Person wey dey receive ₦130k, na very wrong decision to dey invest ₦80k for Bitcoin. That one dun pass investing as na suffer you dey put yourself if you no get another source of income and na only that ₦130k wey you survive on monthly. E no possible to survive on ₦50k a month as a working class person wey go dey commot almost daily (paying transport or buying fuel) for this country and you go dey live comfortably especially when you dey city and no be village. The only time wey you fit dey invest like that na when you get other side hustle wey go dey bring in small money wey you go dey use for sustainability. Your investing percentage no supposed pass 20% of your income if your salary no too big and when e big e no supposed pass 30%. If you dey invest pass your capacity na you dey set yourself up for failure so make we no dey overdo pass ourselves.
Boss, I like the way you just take deliver the whole message on this Matter, because some new investors go the think say na by investing aggressively nah so person go take make better profit with bitcoin, and on a normal no investment expert go advise person to the invest a percentage higher than what he is saving from the total money he receives whether na weekly or monthly pay.

And this talk of investing aggressively sef, people the misconceive am sef. Investing aggressively no only mean say you gat go all in with all your money or most percent of your money. It could also mean to maintain a good investment strategy and plans wey go make you not to fail from reaching your investment goals. Such things as emergency and natural disaster like that period of covid.
77  Economy / Gambling / Re: I would like to place a $1,000,000 bet on: June 03, 2024, 10:27:09 PM
....
I suspected from the start that the OP was just looking for hype to create a topic without clear evidence that he had a history of $1 million in gambling bets, even if he had that amount he would definitely be very experienced in gambling but he was actually only asking the most basic questions in this thread.

Obviously no one is going to believe what the OP says, I would rather believe him asking what casinos give welcome bonuses than the discussion in this thread.

He is hyping from time to time, with some crazy thread. Anyway, I often see this topic on the main page, and every time I imagine if I was betting millions I sure would like to have some guarantees. I wonder what kind of guarantees would be involved, how can we trust someone with millions when sometimes it's difficult for us to do so with much smaller amounts of money?
I wouldn't blame any person if they choose not to believe the Op especially when he is calling money that sounds outrageous to our common small amounts we gamble with, myself I am even skeptical about it been real or just hype.

Quote
.
A very interesting question to think about... if you were to bet millions which casino would you choose and what guarantees would you require?
Say I was to bet millions today or tomorrow I definitely use same casino am using with my smaller amount of money. And my guarantee is that provided I win my bet, it's should be processed as quick as possible for withdraw in same manner me depositing my million to use for betting was. Don't wanna hear higher KYC demands, lol Cheesy
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greediness or Addiction -which one is more disastrous? on: June 03, 2024, 09:39:27 PM
However, both can possibly happen in our lives when we can't control our gambling habit anymore. I prefer not the two but in this situation, I prefer to be just addicted rather than be greedy

Gamble Responsibly...
I better not have myself into any one of the two cause the two are interrelated and being cognate it's a freeway to have the other if you already in chains of one. How do you think addiction starts with? It's a greed attracted attitude, the more a gambler gets greedy in going for more higher and higher stakes to win bigger money out of dissatisfaction of the little coming in, hence you're breeding gambling addiction. An endless urge for more.

I will prefer to be fond of a particular casino game or sports betting than wanting to either be greedy or addicted because none of the two habits is of anything good with gambling they are both bad entirely.
79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I can easily find 3 odds games on casinos but hard to find on sport on: June 03, 2024, 08:07:33 PM
I won't change my views about those two.
Casino games are still the addictive part of it.
Sports betting is just a hobby. I guess it will depend on each of us on how we view things.
Both sports betting and casinos are addictive and I am assuming that where you are from you have more casinos gamblers than sports bettors which could be the reason for your view. And also, casino games and sport's can together be taken as hobby it's all to individual appeal but I generally won't take any one of the two for a hobby mostly. For a hobby you can be losing money and won't bother or feel a need to halt and that's dangerous, you can easily get into addictive process and not know it cause for the person he can mistaking his attitude for a hobby behavior.

Both can be addictive, depending on the interest of the gambler himself. Some are into sportsbetting because they have particular sports that they are into. You wont go into sportsbetting if you have no idea about the sports, as you will only subject yourself to losses. And this can be addicting as well as you will surely keep up with the sports and the bookies offering odds for the sports.
Sports betting is very much unlike casino where a novice can play it and just quickly be lucky at winning a game, in sports the gambler have to know certain informations and ideas concerning either the particular team he's betting for or the sports league he is interested in betting for or against in order for him to make informed choices with odds to have a higher chances of winning. It's when a gambler loses control over it that's where addiction can set in the way.
