I think we will be back at $400 dollars in sometime next year. Price stays good at 300-400 right now which can be accepted stable.
its definitely going to be higher than 400 sometime before the halfing. im guessing couple months before the halfing the price is going to increase exponentially but before that it really doesnt look like its going up. We are still almost 50% up from a month back. There is still some upside, but not sure how much.

fuck obama, he should call putin.
Even if France doesn't want to openly align with Russia in this fight, they can come to some tacit understanding. After all, they have a common enemy.

It might actually crash. Bitcoin is treated like a commodity these days. People would prefer to hold cash (fiat) during a crisis.

Anyway, how is Saudi Arabia... different from ISIS?
If you are with the US, all your sins are forgiven - Saudi is the biggest funder of militant wahabi islam - It has among the worst human rights record in the Middle East But all that really doesn't matter.

Well. if it's war then do something. If dropping 20 bombs one day is all France will do that isn't enough. There is really no coalition just the US and now Russia doing most of the work... Where is everyone else, especially the middle eastern countries that have this going on at their door step?
They are softening them up. More resources will flow to the IS' natural enemies on the ground. This war will have to be won on the ground, probably with hand to hand battles in cities. These air strikes are the precursor to that.

The stability would bring constancy which would shut down Uncle Ben's argument, but wouldn't it be boring?
What do you think?
We would slowly start drifting downwards post that. A lot of speculators sitting on piles of bitcoins would start leaving.

It will take years before the tech projects of banks get regulatory clearance and they take off. This would have absolutely no impact on Bitcoin's price. As banks take pains in emphasizing, we love the technology (blockchain), but not Bitcoin.

My gf is Chinese. She thinks its not a good idea for the chinese government to step in. It could lead to more terrorist attacks on Chinese Soil.
The IS doesn't care. They want to convert the world into an Islamic caliphate. China already has problems with Uyghur muslims. and do you think that is humanly possible? They should use other methods rather than killing innocent people. they are just copwards. They should preach as Christians do if they want to convert people. Islam is great without the terrorist I don't think this is possible, by terrorism or by preaching. But then again, the people running ISIS may not be that smart.

Attack bitcoins, because you can't attack cash. Governments are aware that cash poses the greatest risk, yet they continue to villify Bitcoin. PS - This is a bloombergview article. It doesn't necessary reflect the view of Bloomberg.

OP was talking about the Netherlands, holding 1 minute silence for another country in Europe. Nothing wrong in that, is there? Europe is doing more than observing silence for the suicide bombings in the Middle East. It is taking in refugees who are fleeing the war zone.
You're right. There's nothing wrong with having a moment of silence. Yes they are helping with refugees. But they are also funding the war that's going on where innocent people die. Europe is funding the war? Providing air support against terrorists is not funding the war. They are trying to help end it.

Until 2014, people used to say that BTC value has always risen in a calendar year. As we know, all that can change quickly.

yes i did sell all rest of my bitcoin during bitcoin price above $400 and earn small profit from that
You should probably buy back now. You wouldn't want to be caught flat footed if another bull run starts.

Funny how some countries have 1 minute silence for France What about all the other countries who are being bombarded on a daily basis? What about all the suicide bombs that happens everyday in the middle east? Nobody stands still for those innocent people who die, but something happens in the west and it's 100 times worse than any other country.

The $300 barrier will be broken again. Probably quite soon. $316 now. We seem to be steadily drifting downwards. I will give it a week more.

These acts have just managed to raise the shackles of the Western world. At some point they are just going to stop worrying about collateral damage and root out ISIS. The day isn't far.

There's still no convincing explanation of why the price briefly went to $500.
The Efficient Market Hypothesis doesn't seem to hold true in the Bitcoin market.

The terrorists don't realize that this is going to make countries determined to take action against them. All western countries will step up their operations in the Middle East, to ensure that Islamic terrorism is rooted out. The impact is going to be felt by ordinary muslims in Iraq and Syria.

Should the ethics committee (or equivalent) of Carnegie Mellon look into this? It is one thing to find out flaws in the tor network, it is another to use it to indiscriminately snoop for the FBI.
The Carnegies and the Mellons are a couple of big-money families. They, along with others, run the government and control the FBI. It was probably Carnegie Mellon that called the FBI in, in the first place. The larger education community can still act against individual researchers, if they were unethical. Not sure if they have the backbone to do it though.

Back up and going strong! Over 340 now.
We are on a good way, for now it is $335.1 which is certainly better than being under psychological $300 barrier. It is all better that it was previously before the recent pump. It has been over $325 for the last 3 days now. Some resemblance of stability returning. I am satisfied.
