61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / DIMO: Fueling the Future of Crypto Driven Innovation on: February 21, 2024, 07:46:58 PM
In the evolving realm of blockchain and cryptocurrency, the past decade has witnessed a remarkable evolution, ushering in innovation across various industries – from finance and AI to Game-FI, Metaverse, and NFTs. While the future appears promising, some hesitancy persists, with many yet to fully grasp the transformative potential.

Among the challenges faced by the crypto industry is the struggle to articulate tangible real-world applications, perpetuating the perception of speculation akin to gambling. However, emerging initiatives like DIMO are reshaping these narratives, offering practical solutions and use cases.

Enter DIMO, an open-source vehicle connectivity platform that empowers car owners to optimize their driving experience. Through the DIMO mobile app and compatible third-party hardware, users can seamlessly collect, utilize, and monetize their vehicle data, creating a novel avenue for earning rewards.

What sets DIMO apart is its inclusive approach – not only can individual drivers benefit, but enterprises and developers can also leverage and govern the platform. This ensures sustained collaboration between the driving community and companies aiming to innovate and deliver exceptional products and services.

The project's creativity has garnered support from over 13 industry giants, including CoinFund, LATTICE CAPITAL, STRATOS, and AutoPi. As anticipation builds for DIMO's native token listing on Bitget tomorrow, accompanied by an exciting earned event, the Drive2earn project stands as a beacon of optimism in the ever-evolving landscape of blockchain and cryptocurrency. What are your thoughts on this innovative endeavor?
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin, for long time Holding on: February 21, 2024, 08:10:21 AM
There are many types of Bitcoin investors, some invest for long-term holdings, while others invest for short-term holdings. But one thing is true, those who invest in Bitcoin for short term are never able to achieve anything big. On the contrary, they face more losses.

every Bitcoin investment should be long-term. Because we have seen that even at the end of 2023 the price of bitcoin was 42k and as the year 2024 falls, the price of bitcoin has crossed 50k and currently the price of bitcoin is 52k. So now consider that those who invested in Bitcoin in 2023, when the price of Bitcoin was hovering between 26k and 27k, have already received double returns. So those who have been patiently holding Bitcoin since then have already reaped double the return on their investment.

Now another big opportunity is going to come in front of us. When the price of Bitcoin will increase much more than that. So I would say, those who haven't invested in Bitcoin yet, make a final decision to invest in Bitcoin for lone time Holding now and hold until the next ATH. You invest in Bitcoin and keep your Bitcoin holdings safe, because the next bull market is going to have the power to change your life. So just Hold bitcoin for long time.

Well, don't you think it's already too late for those that may want to buy at this point, I think we are already in bullrun and I don't see BTC price retracing back to $40k not with the approval of the Bitcoin spot ETF. Alot of newbie are coming into the crypto space everyday and the current price of BTC may scare them. Though BTC may still have a long way to go but not everyone has the ball to buy in at this rate the reason why many newbies are looking towards altcoins.

Moral lesson... Procrastination is dangerous, when you have the opportunity to invest, never waste time. #BTC always.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ERC-404 Tokens: Catalyst or Conundrum for Ethereum's Ecosystem? on: February 19, 2024, 01:25:51 PM
Just 2 weeks ago when the ERC-404 tokens was launched, the internet went agog and the first project "PANDORA" quickly gained acceptance and raked in over $293M in four days however the current mcap is $132M.

Analysing the importance of the ERC-404 in the Ethereum ecosystem which among several includes, alignment with ERC-20 which helps to ease integration with existing wallets, exchanges and Defi Application, ERC-404 also helps fractionalize NFTs reducing entry barrier and enhancing liquidity but all this comes with a price as the Ethereum gas fee has suddenly surged to a 8 months record high.

Just while searching through the net this morning for exploration of potential projects, I came across another ERC-404 token. The first memecoin on ERC-404 "Dancing Beans" $BEANS. Though not on CMC or CG yet but I have seen some kind of excitement and anticipation from couple of people talking about it and it got me wondering if the era of ERC-404 has come to stay.

Do you think $BEANS can also make headlines like PANDORA and is it worth putting some few $$$. Share your thoughts?
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Exchange Tokens Are You Watching in the 2024 Bull Run? on: February 16, 2024, 05:49:22 PM

As we enter 2024 with a bullish crypto market, exchange tokens seem poised for massive growth.

Exchange tokens tend to benefit greatly in bull runs as trading volume increases on their platforms. With many analysts predicting incredible gains this year, exchange tokens could be one of the biggest winners.

Some options that look undervalued relative to their top competitors include BGB, KCS, and HT. BGB in particular has shown tremendous momentum lately, more than doubling over the past few months and even hitting an ATH of $.79 today . The derivatives exchange behind it has quickly emerged as a top player.

Expanding functionality and use cases on various exchange platforms will likely expand demand for their native tokens.

Which exchange tokens are you most excited about for the 2024 bull run?
Is BNB not included in Binance exchange tokens? or deliberately separated even though they are still parts that cannot be separated. Regarding MX exchange tokens on Mexc, Houbi with HT, BGB, KCC etc. reminds me of FTT where everything about token liquidity is more easily manipulated by the exchange itself. This means that when creating an exchange they also of course want to involve users with the tokens they create, therefore we definitely know that every exchange that has its own token has a swap/convert feature and offers several other benefits to ensure its value.

After that we return to the conversation about which tokens will see the most promising upside in 2024, including Bitcoin near halving. any profits from Bitcoin generated by incumbents who are partial owners of exchanges will add liquidity to their tokens. I think it's definitely just a matter of looking at  the trading volume levels on which exchanges are the most popular. For example, Binance along with the halving, BNB has shown some price increases and the same scheme also applies to all other major exchanges such as Mexc, Kucoin, Huobi and Bitget.
Exchange token plays a vital role aside the swap you mentioned, they have great importance depending on the platform. For instance, holders get to stake it to participate in launchpads and launchpools events to earn new token freely aside other functionalities like reduced trading fees and what have you. BNB gained massively in the last bullrun and it's still gaining trading currently at around $360. $BGB is another token that could come with a surprise after hitting $1 from $0.56 in the last 2 weeks. I think aside holding BTC and some major altcoins, exchange token could also bring incredible return as we head into another phase of bullrun

65  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with bots on: February 13, 2024, 11:23:49 AM
I am doing scalping with 1 minute chart and I see a big rejection candle at 22.21 london time for most alcoins, also for btc...how do you guys interpret this?
My guess is the trading with the altcoins is done most by bots...
Any tips on how I could learn to automate my trading with bots?

In my opinion, trading with bots is good, but I suggest learning the basics/fundamentals of trading first so that you understand how to set your parameters. After that, you may proceed to bot trading. Someone mentioned Binance bots, which I found a bit challenging to comprehend. I did more research before trying out variations from Bitget (future signal bot, smart portfolio, spot grid). It was easy to understand, like riding a bicycle. This isn't financial advice, just my experience. Ahah.

Well said mate. I have same feeling coz bot is as good as the person that set it up. Although I haven't used it before, I have heard some people saying it's quite profitable to use especially in a very volatile market just like what we are experiencing at the moment. If it's not that reliable, I don't think it will be available on most of the top CEXs.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Must you lose before you gain in Bitcoin investment? on: February 13, 2024, 08:51:22 AM
Questions like this has popped out in several occasions and arguments concerning Bitcoin investment. My friends will say you must lose before you gain or rather have more experience investing in Bitcoin. If its how it work, Bitcoin isn't for a low income earner as well as not gonna make you rich when you can't invest something tangible to it. On the other hand people are been made big and wealthy in same program. What does it in tell, cos am quite sure people had already known what's going to happen in the market in the nearest future to give them the strong mindset to invest porously. My biggest fear is losing my hard earn to something as volatile, vulnerable and uncertain as btc. What's the possibility you invest without losing. Is it guaranteed in this kinda market?
Just like any other investment, knowledge of crypto is important before diving into it. Do you close your eyes and drive and expect to drive safely without accident. Pretty simple answer... Just at present BTC is trading above $50k and if you are a novice and just enter the market without DYOR, there is a possibility that the market may dump on you if any major retracement should happen hence proper study is needed. However if you hold on tight even when the market retrace, you will definitely be bullish later if your investment is in Bitcoin and not some shitcoins
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are these P2P crypto platforms SCAM? on: February 12, 2024, 08:00:41 PM
I am kind of new to the crypto era, and I am wondering if any of these P2P platforms scammed or legit?

- Paxful
- Bybit
- OKX
- Phemex
- Bitget

Maybe these sound familiar to you but this is my first month into this game and I want to pick the right ones.

Thanks
I've heard all of these exchanges at least once already, and I guess they're still operating right now. Although I'm not using any of them since I'm only using Binance, I guess these are legit exchanges, and many here are using these ones especially Bitget I guess which is the one that most Youtube influencers are promoting non-stop. Cheesy

Since you are asking exchanges for you to make a P2P transaction, I guess it would be better if you will just go on decentralized P2P platforms. Well, I'm using Binance to make P2P transaction and I didn't encounter any problem on it. It's just that, it's centralized exchange and you need to do KYC to access their exchange.

Learn more OP. Watch more educational videos, and don't stop asking here. Also, it would be better if you will just use the search button I guess because there might be some threads here already that has been made in case you have a question.
Don't you think why lots of users are talking about Bitget p2p is cos they've had a favorable experience using the feature?
Well I believe it's quite easy to criticise a cex when it hasn't been used. Lately, the P2P feature of the platform mentioned has been a trending topic of discussion on YouTube and gaining lots of traction on X due to timed listings and generous events that accompany them

I have enjoyed using Bitget P2P because of how transparent it is. Have heard some complaints about getting scammed by merchants on some exchanges because they are newbies but I haven't experienced such yet on the Cex
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don’t you think BRC20 tokens need more spotlight? on: February 11, 2024, 03:28:32 PM
Bitcoin price has gone up to 47k and there are lots of altcoins which are seeing price increases too. But there is one thing that seems to be left behind, which are the BRC20 tokens.
I see BRC20 as a try to see whether the Bitcoin network is compatible with token standards, and it’s also that for the first time there existed an apparatus where one could create and transfer digital assets on top of Bitcoin network.

BRC20 tokens should deserve more attention and recognition in the future. Since they provide a new way of creating and transferring value on the Bitcoin blockchain, thus opening up new possibilities for the web3 ecosystem given that it has its roots in this coin originated from bitcoin design. so don't you think this deserves more attention?

The emergence of BRC20 tokens have their own advantage whether we admit it or not...I have seen a lot people said it has caused the transaction fee on Bitcoin network to increase but forgetting that the BRC20 ecosystem has also transform the Bitcoin ecosystem into the realm of tokenization and decentralized finance, a paradigm shift from Bitcoin original P2P transaction. Whether we like it or not, more brc20 tokens will emerge as a result of ORDI and SATs success. As a matter of fact, AINN is another BRC20 tokens that is gradually getting attention.
69  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC or Love on Valentine's day. What's your pick? on: February 11, 2024, 01:42:32 PM
My friends came up with an idea to take some time off this year and travel  to carrebean inland to catch fun and perhaps, I might find Mrs right in the course of the holiday but with BTC on a bullish move, I feel taking a whole week out of trading is a crazy idea even though the rest is needed.
You may still trade on that time and loose the whole week trading. Maybe the holiday is what you need to come back trading with a clearer mind and more rejuvenated. And also, these kinds of trips can be the perfect moment to create everlasting bonds on friendship with these friends of yours. You should never miss creating memories and living to experience life with your friends simply dur to your focused on getting bitcoins. Life is not so long we should learn to enjoy things along the way and make memories with people we love people that feel the same about us while we try to get bitcoins and secure our investment for tomorrow.

Thanks buddy...am inspired by your comment and you just made my day.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Trajectory Of Crypto Based Payment Systems Thus Far. on: February 11, 2024, 02:36:27 AM
Crypto based payments are one of the up and growing narratives since inception of Cryptocurrencies.

Slow but steady, crypto is gaining significant traction and usecases, before now we could barely hear of using crypto for payments.

Just recently, with projects like IVPAY we're noticing full blown crypto based payment systems come into fruition.

Being a payment system to E commerce, retail and vending machines, it seeks to increasingly ease and enhance payments for Web3 enthusiasts.

The core of IVPAY lies in its intent to make Crypto payments open to all and sundry.

In a bid to achieve all of its set objectives, the project has forged a partnership with Binance pay to further extend its tentacles in the world of digital crypto payments.

With what this project is bringing forth, everyone is bound to share some level of optimism, personally I feel all its blueprints will crystallise and all purposes achieved.

Interestingly, the value of the native token $IVPAY will grow commensurately, I'm hopeful. With the listing coming up on T1 platforms like Bitget, more spotlight will be shed on the project.👏

We obviously need more crypto payment platform as the adoption of cryptocurrency is currently on the rise but of course, their services will determine if they can match up or overtake existing platforms like coinspaid, bitpay and moonpay. Read about Ivpay a couple of weeks ago and I think the team are really serious. If they are able to push boundaries and extend to more regions with the exciting services they promised, they might just the a platform to reckon with in few months time
71  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Could protection funds restore investors confidence back to CEX? on: February 09, 2024, 06:30:34 PM
An insurance thing and Binance calls it SAFU. Much better if these exchanges are educating most of their users that only them has the jurisdiction for their users fund and not the users themselves. In that case, they're giving the idea that each user that deposits and keeps their funds on these exchanges doesn't have authority over their own funds as it's like that they handed it over them. Having this insurance won't also make sense because it lies behind the promises of the exchange. They can easily say that all of deposits have insurance but there's always the clause that will save them from any trouble.

You have a point but I think there is transparency in the protection fund to an extent because users can publicly verify it. Before the crash of FTX, there was nothing like protection fund and I think this innovation is in the right step towards bringing more transparency to the CEX. I think with time, all this questions will be answered as the exchanges will also be asking themselves similar questions and how to make it even better. Seeing significant surge in the protection funds is a win worth celebrating. Half bread they say it's better than none.
72  Economy / Trading Discussion / BTC or Love on Valentine's day. What's your pick? on: February 09, 2024, 06:06:43 PM
I have seen a couple of friends received amazing gifts from loved ones during Valentine's period but I haven't given one neither have I received because I don't really celebrate Valentine perhaps because I haven't been in love before🙄.

My friends came up with an idea to take some time off this year and travel  to carrebean inland to catch fun and perhaps, I might find Mrs right in the course of the holiday but with BTC on a bullish move, I feel taking a whole week out of trading is a crazy idea even though the rest is needed.

Is there any trading event I can leverage on while on holiday so I can catch fun and earn at the same time.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need more influencial women in crypto to help the gender embrace it? on: February 08, 2024, 07:43:31 PM
This is a cryptospace where physical contact is very rare, there is no reference to a crypto address whether the owner is male or female which means it really isn't a necessity. Maybe the statistics about gender numbers are true, but we will never know the reality. I have a female friend who is active in several airdrop groups, and people there call her "sir", "bro", "man" even though she is clearly wearing a profile photo of her own face.
So, gender isn't something serious.
Lol this got me laughing man...I have experienced same scenario in several group chats
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about this Gaming Project ? on: February 08, 2024, 04:52:39 PM
If you're a gaming enthusiast who enjoys action-packed combat games, look no further than insurrection.games. Consider it the gem you shouldn't miss if you regret not getting in early on Axie Infinity or Sandbox. This emerging GameFi project offers the opportunity to play and earn more, and the best part is the game is already live. The extensive marketing efforts and transparent nature of the project add to its appeal. Having watched videos of the game and noting its robust social media presence over the past two years, I'm personally inclined to participate in their upcoming fair launch. What are your thoughts on this?

Website: https://insurrection.games/

A lot of gaming project are are making wave recently, The one I find really captivating is the Heroes of Mavis, a mobile feee-to-play web3 MMO strategy game developed by Skrice studios. Interestingly the native token MAVIA has been bullish hitting a new ATH today upon its listing on Bitget and already and currently ranked #334 on CG
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The outcome of merging traditional finance and decentralised finance. on: February 08, 2024, 10:07:02 AM
DeFi platforms have security concerns that is why you can see tons of defi platforms hacks in all these year from this thread: DeFi hacks [history]

Traditional finance institutions are the direct competitors for defi so I don't know how both can be merged.

The reason I brought up the need for platforms with strong security and transparency is because of the "security concerns." If we want this merger to be successful, developers should focus on developing platforms that meet these criteria. Have you heard of ONDO? I'm still observing it, but It's one platform that could potentially fulfill these requirements, and if it lives up to expectations, it could be the key to achieving a seamless integration of traditional finance (trad-fi) and decentralized finance (defi).
I am not following much of the new projects lately, but I will take a look into the project you mentioned and see what's new in it from the existing projects.

The problem with traditional finance is, profit driven business but defi is completely community driven model so merging both can be a hell lot of a job and with highest security possible it gets more difficult.
You should DYOR ONDO; it has it all – real-world assets, tradefi, DeFi, DAO, etc. It made news yesterday after being introduced on exchanges like Bitget. Personally, I'll be dollar-cost averaging into this for the long term because I believe in the project, and they've got top-notch backing from Coinbase, etc.

I did bought a little bag upon its listing but it's still uncertain if the project will live up to the hype it's generating. I would advise you invest lil amount of fund for now. You can also take advantage of this event to increase your holdings.

76  Economy / Exchanges / Could protection funds restore investors confidence back to CEX? on: February 07, 2024, 07:46:13 PM
Though the collapse of FTX took away the confidence of many crypto investors and traders away from centralized exchanges, I think it was a blessing in disguise because the collapse actually birthed the introduction of user protection fund from some top exchanges to keep their customers and give them some level of confidence that such a scenario that befell FTX is properly guided against.

In this space, we know security is of essence and after several failure from some cex ranging from either hacks, scams from the CEO and other forms of manipulations, it has become increasingly difficult for some investors to trust  exchanges despite the fact that this exchanges play a huge role in the crypto landscape.

Do you think the introduction of user protection fund can reinstate the confidence of investors back to CEX
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Do we need more influencial women in crypto to help the gender embrace it? on: February 06, 2024, 10:11:03 AM
When we talk about influencial names in crypto aside the greatest of the greatest like Satoshi Nakamoto and Vitalik Buterin, we hear names like Chanpeng Zhao, Justin Sun, Barry Silbert and the rest. I have only come across few female names which are quite unpopular if you ask me. Names like Caitlin Long, Cathie Wood and Elizabeth Stark are few names that rings a bell out of the thousands names one can find. Do you think there are more influencial women in crypto, this will help to encourage more women into adopting cryptocurrency? Perhaps there are some which are doing really great but we haven't got to hear their names.
78  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why are 'B' Crypto Exchanges Dominating the Top 10 and 15 on CG and CMC? on: February 06, 2024, 09:47:10 AM
I've observed a trend where exchanges starting with the letter 'B' are consistently improving in global rankings on CoinMarketCap (CMC) and CoinGecko (CG). This caught my attention during my ongoing due diligence, as I'm considering adding another exchange to my current platform. Here are some options I'm looking at:

Binance
Bitget
Bybit
Bitfinex
Bingx
Bitstamp

I'd love to hear about your experiences with any of these exchanges and why you've chosen to use them. Additionally, if you could rate them on a scale of 1 to 10, that would be extremely helpful. Let's exchange insights and make informed decisions together

There are other top 10 exchanges like Kraken, Coinbase, Kucoin, HTX, Gateio that didn't start with B and they are doing pretty well. What letter they start with doesn't really matter to me but the services they offer and their reach globally. Many of these exchanges will face serious problems and lose many of their customers going forward except they are regulatory compliant, you can see what happened in India some weeks ago. One criteria I will advise anyone using CEX is check out if the exchange is registered and lincesed in their region to avoid sudden exit one day. Security and safety should also be considered. Proof of reserve and user protection fund are pretty good yardstick to measure the integrity of this exchanges.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your expectations ahead of pre and post BTC halving? on: February 04, 2024, 03:38:29 PM
2020 was supposed to be an amazing year for me after buying some BTC and altcoins back in 2019 but the Corona virus came and had to dispose by crypto bag for survival before the bullrun came. It's a year I would never forget coz my life would have changed drastically if Covid 19 hadn't messed things up.

Fast forward to 2023, I have been able to accumulate some few BTC from my monthly pay check and the news of Bitcoin spot ETF approval arosed my hope again that BTC might kickstart the mini bullrun before the halving but the reverse was the case as BTC fails to hit the $50k mark.

While reading some crypto news earlier today, I came across a survey conducted by Bitget towards the end of last year in several region of the world where crypto investors share their anticipation and investment plan in crypto ahead of 2024 pre and post BTC halving and seeing 84% of the people saying BTC will cross the previous $69k ATH while also confirming they are increasing their investment ahead of the pre-halving makes me feel 2024 might be another good year for me.

Although some expert suggested that people should be careful as BTC might trade around $30k - $60k within this period which makes it even a more dicey situation but overall, I think the post halving might bring the good news everyone has been anticipating.

What are your thoughts, do you think this survey reflect the true percentage of what to expect or not?
Well, in my opinion, I think a lot of people have a bullish sentiment post-halving. However, I believe we'll see a shakeout pre-halving. The reason is that institutions would be willing to buy low and ride it to the top of the bull run. In any case, let's be smart and play the game with them. May I see the link to this survey?

Sure.. https://www.finder.com/bitcoin-btc-price-prediction

I was told by a wise man who is an experienced bitcoin long time holder says you should never count your bitcoin profits when it hasn't make any move. I'm bullish for Bitcoin and I'm expecting many things about Bitcoin because even if there is not a catalyst this period, ETF investors wouldn't let it down because they are have struggled with SEC and has bring it, they wouldn't want to be ridicule of their investment, same goes with Microstrategy that has bought a lot of Bitcoin since it went lows.

How can we be sure of this survey is not a cook values to speculate the public. I think we might go higher than these prices but then again, it's not something that can be achieved in a day or a year, it can be even 2026 before we will see these price that I expect to see bitcoin and I just hope when bitcoin start moving, we don't see bad news like we had some months back of FTX collapse and also Celsius bankruptcy.

Well I don't think so because the survey was properly done and lots of factors were considered.. perhaps you can get more insight from here. https://www.finder.com/bitcoin-btc-price-prediction
