61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin banned in social media? on: April 06, 2018, 07:17:08 AM
Bitcoin isn't banned on social media platforms but rather it's Ads that are banned for cryptocurrency as it came to light that a lot of these Ads were being used to carry out scams and a lot of people were falling victim to them so the ban was a move made by the social media companies to protect its users from further scams and to prevent scammers from using their platform to carry out their scams.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: April 05, 2018, 08:23:00 AM
It is highly unlikely that something like this will happen, bitcoin is the first and it will always lead in terms of market value and price. It is a project that people believe and have faith in and with loyal investors. A lot of other coins will grown to have great value and prices, that much is certain but I do not see any other coin replacing bitcoin in the near future.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: April 04, 2018, 07:07:46 AM
Bitcoin has made a lot of money, money that they couldn't imagine making from a normal day job or money that would take them years to make from a normal day job. Some people who are unemployed have managed to find work with bitcoin, a lot have learned how to trade and are making money from it to keep them going instead of resorting to illegal activities to actually make a living.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not invest in bitcoin if you don't know anything about it on: April 01, 2018, 09:27:10 AM
We cannot sound this warning loud enough. A lot of people saw the value of bitcoin in december and january and they just started putting money into the market thinking the price will always keep going up and they didn't do any research into bitcoin or into the cryptocurrency market so once the prices started dropping they started panic selling and contributed even more to the drop in prices.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk.org user loses $2,000,000 in Bitcoin on: March 31, 2018, 04:49:50 PM
This is very possible although I have not heard this news personally and I am just reading it now but if the person was a gambler then this becomes even more likely because with gambling you can lose a lot of money in very little time and not much effort. If it is losses from bitcoin prices going down then I don't think he has lost yet, unless he panics and sells which means he lost.
66  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any advice for a Bitcoin newbie? on: March 29, 2018, 08:30:42 PM
Yea a few.
Never panic sell. When you see the price dropping, brace yourself and steel yourself against whatever news you might hear or read. Don't give in
Don't FOMO money into the market. A lot of people see prices going up and believe that it will keep going up and they don't want to miss out. A bull market isn't time to buy, it is time to sell.
Never put in more money than you can afford to lose. Don't put in emergency money or any money you will be needing anytime soon. Be smart about investing.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I keep my BTC now? on: March 28, 2018, 07:48:11 AM
This is the time to actually hold on to your bitcoins as tight as you can and keep them very safe. The bear market might give us holders mini heart attacks every now and then but what is a life without risks? No risks, no reward. Hold onto your bitcoins, don't panic sell like a lot of people are doing now and just be patient, it will all pay off in the end.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: March 27, 2018, 08:17:10 AM
We really cannot be sure what will happen in regards to bitcoin versus paypal as paypal is still going strong and last I heard they were looking to integrate a blockchain technology into their systems which will help make their transactions faster and even more efficient. Bitcoin still has a long way to go and going up against a giant like paypal isn't something we are ready to do yet.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest now - should or not? on: March 26, 2018, 03:23:24 PM
If you currently have the money to invest and you have already made up your mind that you would like to invest in bitcoin then you should do so now that the price is down and very low as this is the best time to buy into the market to get the best value of your money. You can buy now and transfer to your wallet, and hold in wait for the price to go back up and the bull market to roll around.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin change our world? on: March 25, 2018, 09:29:05 AM
No because bitcoin has already changed our world. It has changed the way we view currency and their usage and storage. Bitcoins showed us that there was a way to store our own money without needing to put it in banks and have to pay them a percentage of our money just for them to keep money which we earned ourselves in the first place.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used as a national foreign exchange reserve in the future? on: March 24, 2018, 03:15:33 PM
It's possible since there is a limited amount of bitcoin which will always help to keep it's value intact as long as people keep using it. It being a national foreign exchange reserve is a good idea but bitcoin still has a long way to go in terms of price and stability and it's volatility doesn't help much in this case. People are wary and they want something they can trust and for now, it's not an easy road with bitcoin.
72  Economy / Economics / Re: It is not yet over as bitcoin heading toward $4,500! on: March 23, 2018, 11:29:23 AM
I think it's possible for bitcoin to go to $4500 before it starts going back up again. I mean The price is over 3 times the value it was by this time last year and what people are calling a bad market is actually a much better market than before. 8k for bitcoin is not something any of us planned on seeing soon and now 8k is low market price for us, if we look at the previous markets then we will appreciate how far we have come which is a good place.
73  Economy / Economics / Re: As long as you convert your crypto to fiat, we will never go mass adoption on: March 21, 2018, 05:44:28 PM
At this point, we have to cash out to Fiat because there are still a lot of everyday things that still cannot be bought using bitcoin. For example, you can't give your child bitcoin to buy lunch at school neither can you buy ice cream at the park using bitcoin. Until these everyday little things can be purchased using bitcoin, people will have to keep converting their coins into fiat in order to spend it.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH next to BTC? on: March 20, 2018, 10:24:51 AM
I don't think ethereum will ever overtake bitcoin. It will always be the second best though as it is the strongest coin after bitcoin. There are a lot of investors investing in ethereum and I know the price will go up higher once bitcoin starts recovering too. Ethereum is a good project and it has a lot of potential but bitcoin remains number one.
75  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't worry, the market will not fall forever. on: March 20, 2018, 10:22:30 AM
This is true. Any market has it's high and lows and especially one as young as the cryptocurrency market which is just starting to see a high number of adoption. It is a volatile market and so it moves as such. Prices will always go down when supply exceeds demand but this will not last forever. Soon the whales that dumped will start buying back into the market and it will drive the prices up again.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the online Casino industry help Bitcoin? on: March 20, 2018, 10:18:17 AM
Yes of course. The online casino industry is a huge one with a lot of customers and with adoption from online casinos more people will adopt bitcoin inorder to play, this increases demand for bitcoin which we know is the driving force when it comes to the price of bitcoins really. A lot of people like the idea of being able to play at the casino using bitcoins. It's easier and you don't have anyone tracking your money to see where it all goes.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin loose its popularity? on: March 20, 2018, 10:15:41 AM
Not at all. Since bitcoin got into the mainstream media, it advertises itself. A lot of people have heard about bitcoin and everyday more people hear about it and get invested in the market also. The popularity around bitcoin will not die but it will rather grow and attract even more investors to it's ranks as time passes. I am very excited to see what the future holds for cryptocurrencies.
78  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can i get my bitcoin back? on: March 19, 2018, 12:02:32 PM
Once you lose the private keys to your bitcoin wallet your bitcoins are gone forever there is no way around it. It was designed to keep your bitcoins safe and that is exactly what it is doing now. Even you can't break into your own account when you lose your private keys. Next time, it's advisable to write down your private keys and keep them somewhere safe.
79  Economy / Economics / Re: What would be the possible impact of BTC in the economy of a country? on: March 19, 2018, 11:58:33 AM
Bitcoin can very much help in boosting the economy because it has a very high potential to increase in price in light of more and more adoption which will in turn help the economy. Also citizens can make a lot of money from buying and investing in bitcoin when they buy low and hold for the price to go up which is turn just adding to the economy.
80  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has Arrived in Thailand..... on: March 19, 2018, 11:56:52 AM
I like that a lot of countries are really accepting bitcoin and planning to integrate it into their economies and accepting it as a mode of payment. This shows that the government has the interest of the people at heart and they want to make life easier for their citizens. I heard about germany accepting bitcoin and now thailand. This is very good for the economy.
