65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | 100% POS | Assets | Names | Voting | Automated Transactions on: May 10, 2015, 05:06:54 AM
What do you think about signature campaign? We need to reach more people and tell them AT, ACCT, decentralized blogging service and more. Qora deserve more interest than rahat.

Qora will have decentralized websites too! I mean it's already huge! All we need is some marketing. This coin honestly deserves the top.

This coin is looking good.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Auroracoin - A new chapter in the history of Iceland! on: May 10, 2015, 05:03:54 AM
I usually stay in the background, but wanted to voice my thoughts.

I hate seeing "pumps and dumps" in any cryptocurrency. Those turn it into a short term profit for a few, and belittle the potential of placing the power of a currency back in the hands of the common people (the true goal in my opinion of what cryptos should be used for).

Hopefully the potential can come to fruition of a crypto actually making a change in society.

I am betting on Auroracoin possibly doing that.

Not Icelandic, not using AUR for immediate profit, but buying and holding. My own little way of contributing to the big picture.

Lastly, I have seen some wallet talk about. A lot has gone on recently, definitely in a positive direction for the coin, let's not pressure those making this happen since slow and steady may win the race. I believe they will be ready when they are ready.

Yes 3%-5% growth daily is better and healthy than 2000% in a week. I will watch that for sure.

The foundation controls 1 million coins of the premine, so you can remove around 15% of the total supply that is out in the open. It was mentioned earlier that some chinese guy has over 1% of the coins and the rest of the team has over 1 million at least. So not that many coins in circulation as holders have been able to gather cheap coins for over a year now into a few bags. I expect to see wild swings in prices like we have seen this week already. The coin gained 300% in prices and has lost 29% from the lastest pump so far. New wallets will bring another pump if new tech is being released. This coin is a traders dream!

yeah, sounds good.

Moore's law is not keeping up with the memory usage as the unspent transaction memory requirement has doubled in 1 year and the cost of memory has only gone down by 20% so once again the scaling problems of bitcoin are showing themselves.

Read more from the man himself ...
http://gavinandresen.ninja/utxo-uhoh
Today, the UTXO database is about 650MiB on disk, 4GB when decompressed into memory. DRAM costs about $10 per GB, so you need to spend about $40 on memory if you want absolute fastest access to the UTXO. Not a big deal.
...
'Assuming the UTXO set continues to double and RAM prices continue to drop 20% per year, next year you’ll have to spend about $64. Ten years from now, over $4,000…'

Looks like there's a fork planned to solve this BTC problem at 2016.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDOGE] LiteDoge - very currency many coin - lite version of dogecoin on: May 10, 2015, 03:19:37 AM
I nearly lost 50% of my LDOGE due to network errors.  After a few days and lots of hard work from the dev we were able to salvage a large quantity of coins, this proves the legitimacy and devotion of the developers, I would like to ommit any previous suggestions of dissatisfaction.  Mellon, LiteDoge and MinerFTW have proven to be incredibly skilled, caring, devoted, and persistent.  If you do not own 100m Ldoge at this current price you are making a giant mistake.

Remember, a lot of that LDOGE that was staked during the forking wasn't real.  Regarding the rest... I 100% agree!  NOW is the time to be staking/buying LDOGE... or if  you don't believe in this coin, please dump (lots of us have buy orders in), get out, and let it grow!

I do truly believe in this coin and our community.  So many stayed with us through the rough times... which are over now.  I'm sure there will still be growing pains... but if we stick together... stake... and continue building... the sky is the limit!  Yes, I've already sold all my DOGE to buy LDOGE.  Now is the time to get in if you haven't already.

Touche, hopefully I will receive the marketing materials and be able to help push this coin on Twitter, Reddit etc.

I got mine now, starting to like this coin.  Smiley
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [16BIT COIN] [ALGO - NIST5 -] [16M COINS] [IN-WALLET GAMES] on: May 10, 2015, 03:16:21 AM
Really wish less people bought into the ICO, would of made the share value higher. Currently each share is only 36363 coins.

Wondering if its better to buy ICO or rent rigs....

Why not ?, I will watch this. 16 bits looks interesting...
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CDA] CanadaCoin- POW/POS countrycoin with CanadaDay AirDrop on: May 10, 2015, 03:11:33 AM

77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OEC] OneEvilCoin - CPU/GPU ONLY! [CN PROTOCOL] [V2] on: May 10, 2015, 02:55:23 AM
So is this a coin that you pretty much can only mine using the wallet? I'm just curious if there are miners out for this coin and what algorithm is it?

There is a pool available, actually the difficulty is high, so you will only get a few blocks.
I see that it's cryptonight algo now that I took a better look so I can just open the wallet and start mining then right Smiley

Cryptonight ?  Tongue

I like this coin because it doesn't have a crazy low block reward or an insane coin supply it seems to have a good middle ground going for it which is why I don't understand why people are bashing it as bad as they are lol I like it Smiley

me too

80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CREDITS [CRE] | SHA256 | SIDECHAIN | NEW BLOCK-DEPOSIT FEATURE | OFFICIAL THREAD on: May 10, 2015, 01:30:11 AM
Version 0.9.1.41 of Credits client released. GPU miner integrated!

A new release of the Credits client is out now. This version is a major release with GPU mining capabilities released as a complimentary download.

- GPU mining integrated as a separate download.
- txindex fixed, which will enable a lot of different services around the coin
- Bug fixes.
- Preparations for pooling integrated

The GPU miner works currently only for Windows and with Nvidia cards. Work is ongoing for enabling AMD as well. Be careful when GPU mining. Too hard load on the graphics card could damage the card and the computer. See guidance in the getting started with GPU mining post:
