It seems that OKcoin's recent x20 leverage is one of the culprits to this deteriorating alt market volume. A lot of the BTC probably moved over there for the time being until BTC stabilizes some.

Not going to lie, x20 sounds so tempting.

Either insta-rich, or insta-poor.

Recently Bitcoin dropped from a stable $580-620 range to as low as sub $300 and caused the alts to fall with it. The reasons behind this are totally justified and make absolute sense. This is also the time when many where saying "wait for the next BTC rally, and alts will go up with it"

So now we are in the early stages of a rally whose start looks alot better than last year's rally, yet instead of alts going up in prices as many speculated, the alt market is bleeding as if BTC just dropped to $150.

So why is this exactly? The only alt that seems to directly correlate with BTC price it LTC. Everything else, is on a pretty solid downtrend.

Perhaps this is the best time to get into altcoins? But whose to say alts will also have a rally when the initial speculation obviously failed.

While I personally believe the screenshot of the message from the VP of Zynga to be legitimate, it does not in any way, shape, or form confirm that Zynga will be using ClearingHouse.

Something like this has to go through stages, and a company like Zynga wont just announce something publicly while they still aren't 100% sure themselves. Contrary to what was said earlier, I personally don't think it will take until next summer for an official statement, but I think it will definitely take at least few months for anything concrete to come out of it. A lot of people here clearly don't understand the process something like this has to go through.

At this time, this is all just pure speculation. You cannot be so naive as to assume this is 100% confirmed due to a twitter follow.

If you guys are looking at a short-term pump & dump, look elsewhere.

Ok so the devs posted the premine address for transparency 5 months ago but people only recently decided to check it after the coin's value started crippling?

Well, if that really is the case, there's nothing else I can say about this situation other than, if it was a dev premine dump, thats not going to bode well.

Also, what about those who ordered Tor sticks? Those things aren't exactly cheap.

So nobody was tracking the premine address until recently? Premine addy watch 24/7 is a standard for any and every alt launched with a premine.

I saw this coming when other 'big' announcements starting releasing which was deviating the coin from its original goal. Kind of like when CLOAK was working on PoSA then before it was completed announced CIARA. Soon after, crashed.

FWIW, the alt market is red across the board. Im talking about legit coins (scam/pump & dump coins seem to be the only coins significantly increasing short-term). Until BTC does in fact have a trend reversal, expect horizontal movement or worse, a slow gradual downtrend until who-knows-when.

Why do people seem to assume that the value of blocknet associated coins are going to plummet because of Blocknet itself?

I would never recommend online storage but since you mentioned it's only a small amount you should be fine. Cold storage whenever possible.

Bittrex added DANK and DarkShibe..they will add anything.

Very nice to see real projects (coins) with real world application.

There are only a handful of such altcoins in the altcoin market, but these are the things that we need more of.

So far, looks very solid. Concept & Execution. And its still very early in development. Very interested to see where ARCH will be within the next 12 months.

No matter how many bulls or bears we have, it doesn't matter.

I dont know whether to laugh or cry anymore when I come into a bearish thread, and the bulls are defending as if their lives are at stake. And vice versa, bears stating the contrary as if its their full time jobs.

I remember when I first got here, BTC was about ~$300. Every day there were numerous topics about an incoming inevitable crash. It far outweighed the bullish topics. Then bitcoin went to $1100+. Then the bullshit threads outnumbered the bearish ones, then Bitcoin drops to $700. Then we get a mix, bitcoin drops to $300. Followed by an influx of 'Its over, RIP BTC'. Then Bitcoin climbs to $650. Most become bullish for the 'guaranteed' bubble. Then here we are now sitting at roughly $340 per BTC.

The truth is, no matter how many bears or bulls there are here, it doesn't matter. Stop taking everything you read here as wisdom. Nobody knows what the hell is going to happen. So for your own sake, stop taking everything here as gospel. Discussions are fun, but lines are crossed when it seems every bear here solely is here to FUD/Get cheap BTC and every bull is delusional.

From what I've seen so far, the market opening timeframe for recent Bittrex ICO's are there for a reason and that is to protect Bittrex, the devs, and investors alike. In other words, just remain patient. Things are being worked on by both parties behind the scenes.

ICOs are sucking volume out of the market though of course. If Ethereum didn't do enough damage, ICOs have become more prominent during these past few weeks it's almost unreal. I wouldn't be surprised if its the same group of devs pushing out ICO after ICO these past 3-6 weeks. 

But as damaging as ICO's are lately in an already bearish market, its really the BTC downtrend thats causing the most damage. Had BTC remained $550-600 per coin, the alt scene would still remain prominent. This is what is hurting the alts the most. Shitcoins aside, legit coins with a real future including Viacoin have taken huge dips lately. It's not a standalone thing. Aside from your typical pump & dump/scam coin, its literally all red across the board. It's the current market situation, not a specific altcoin.

It all boils down to which way you think crypto will be heading. If you think BTC is going to seriously tank, it might be best to go back to FIAT. If you think this bearish BTC market will reverse (at least double for BTC), then all legit alts will recover with it and then some. Pure speculation as to where BTC is heading.

All of the Blocknet coins took a dip yesterday upon launch of Blocknet ITO. The reasons are fairly obvious. It would be in everyone's best interest to buy and/or hold the Blocknet system coins..especially Swift.

It only tells me the amount of BTC I invested as it always has. Is it supposed to tell me my total BRO as well?
