61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Potential of an altcoin on: February 10, 2021, 08:33:48 PM
Hi all, I would like to understand how to calculate the potential of an altcoin in order to understand when it is a good time to sell it.
In my specific case for example I bought INJ in December and now the profit is about 600% .
Should I compare INJ to an existing well established similar altcoin (if they exists) to understand its potential?
I know I should set in advance a price when starting to sell, but this could be 100%, 200% etc of profit but which to choose?

Thank you.
You are the only one who can answer this question pal, the thing is you need to have a target, if any coin gives me 500% profit right now I will gladly leave and take my profit, not knowing when to stop is a very bad disease, once it crawls over you it's the end
Strongly agree. 600% is quite a profit in my opinion. and maybe such a situation will only happen once and will not happen again. even though we are in a bullish trend right now, but I prefer to take the profits that are in sight rather than have to wait any longer for my greed. btw, comparing with other products is also quite important, so you can find out the potential of the coins you have
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Report ETH for SCAM because $80 fees on: February 10, 2021, 08:30:33 PM
Earlier, people used Ethereum as an alternative way due to the high transaction fees of Bitcoin.

Nowadays in some cases, the transaction fee of Ethereum is much higher than that of Bitcoin. I still don't understand why people use Ethereum without using the Real Bitcoin! When I'm writing this post, BTC transaction fees for the next block is 102 sat/byte and 7 sat/byte for the next 6 blocks. I can't see any reason for using ETH now.
Of course, because they use a product based on the ethereum protocol. As you know that most altcoin projects use ethereum, so this kind of transfer fee is almost unavoidable. unless they look for other alternatives and migrate to another protocol, eg polkadot or neo
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel, Looking at the Bullrun market? on: February 09, 2021, 08:51:40 PM
Question for those people who are patiently waiting for the bullrun, based on what you are seeing in the market right now, are you satisfied or disappointed? The reactions of the people are divided into two sides, maybe it depends on what coin do they holding. Just a quick survey.
It's easy, people who managed to bag  doge or bnb before Elon started his memes on Twitter would be very satisfied with the current price increase. and some may be quite regrets that they did early selling
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: People paying $1200 for 1 Ethereum are crazy... You only get rich buying CHEAP on: February 09, 2021, 08:49:21 PM
People who bought ETH at 1200 USD are now laughing to this thread. Current ETH price is over 1700 USD and it looks like this is not even the top yet.
There are better options to transfer money cheaper, like BNB, TRX or even DOGE and XRP. But if you compare them investment wise ETH looks stronger.
I think it's time to lock this thread anyway, as you can see all answers become generic now.
haha, it's true. I actually didn't expect the price to go up this high for this bullrun this time. bnb, and tron are great for the long term, and I believe that as the OP said, coins like NEO and Avalanche have as much potential as ethereum considering they offer almost the same product
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help choosing altcoins to invest on: February 09, 2021, 08:40:17 PM
In my opinion, ame might be a good token in the long run. recently ame listed in mxc & xt exchange.after that, amepay trading volume incredibly raise around 10x, although price get dump.the reason behind its dump, isn't clear to me yet but team said that price will be recovered soon.i check they have some real product too.that might be help ame to grow more in future but only you'll responsible for your investment
Right now Amepay needs more listings in my opinion. although they have recently been listed on MXC which I think is great, but I believe listing on other top exchanges will really help price movements. btw amepay isn't bad if you can get a dip price and sell it when price goes up later
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In which token i invest? on: February 09, 2021, 08:36:39 PM
At the moment ETH is the best investment and the possibility is that it will go past $2k in the coming days. If you want to split your investment into many tokens then go for Defi related tokens and invest something in each token.
Doge is also a good option to consider especially when Elon Musk is talking a lot about the coin recently.
BTC, ETH and DOGE are the best options at the moment. And don't forget about the BNB which just hit the $100 mark. I think we're just getting started, and I'm sure that this altcoin season will be much more interesting and longer than 2 years ago
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust Active telegram Groups? on: February 09, 2021, 08:34:34 PM
I don't trust telegram groups. Most of them are scams. But with an active telegram group, we get to know a lot of information about the real running project as well. But it would be better for us if we don't choose the project by seeing its active telegram group. We should more studies about projects than we can invest.
If I recall correctly every crypto projects have a active telegram group, even crypto exchanges have telegram groups too, you can't find out if a project is fake or scam by their activities on telegram group, it doesn't make any sense, you have to do your own research and ask good questions
Actually it is not active or not that determines the scam project. it's more about the flow of conversation and what the team is talking about in a telegram group. I'm sure that most scam project telegram groups don't want to talk about their project development from a technology perspective, because they don't know what they're going to talk about, and most scam projects are just copycat projects
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Altcoin Safe for Investment on: February 08, 2021, 08:35:42 PM
Cryptocurrency investment is never safe. the rest of the movement here is quite aggressive. rise and fall can happen very quickly. before buying with the various suggestions that are here, first learn that the market is currently in a bull trend. which means this is a high risk if we buy now. better to wait for the market to decline first to be able to get the best price. The altcoin advice that many people say is good, but will we buy when it goes up like now?
tbh, no investment is safe. all investments must be calculated. although there are many people who rely on luck, but all investments must be based on calculations, so that we can avoid losses and maximize the possibility of profit. for altcoin investing, you can try to do some research on top coins at a price that "still" has the potential to go up
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Elon Musk Again & Again Tweet for Doge? on: February 08, 2021, 08:32:21 PM
Yes, because Elon certainly really wants to take advantage of crypto. maybe after he tried it with doge, and the results were pretty good. then he will try the same thing with bitcoin. and finally today Tesla invested $1.5b in bitcoin. I'm sure Elon had taken this into account, and bitcoin then shot up straight to $44k
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: did I make mistake? on: February 08, 2021, 04:56:48 PM
looks like you didn't make a mistake if you saved your ETH until now.
but because the dominance of BTC decreases, many predict that altcoins will continue to rise as long as the domination of BTC is below 70%.
so it's a good opportunity to buy other altcoins too.
Currently, the dominance of bitcoin is getting stronger again if you check. The influence of Elon Musk is quite strong for the Crypto market. he is currently buying large amounts of Bitcoin. this could be a market game. myself since Elon Musk made a Tweet Doge increasingly convinced that the trend of rising prices on bitcoin will still continue. And now it is proven that the Bitcoin price has increased
Yes, he invested $1.5b. and that's a number big enough to make bitcoin dominance rise. I think maybe bitcoin will never drop below the $30k price level again. but of course, nobody knows about this. btw, congratulations to the OP who got a profit from his Ethereum investment, nice move
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Online Education, the future of learning? on: February 08, 2021, 04:53:48 PM
blockchain may be very useful in the lockdown learning process. maybe there will be several blockchain-based platforms that are able to simplify the learning process, whether it's in terms of speed, or in terms of the quality of the videos that are displayed, although I also don't really understand that. but for now, decentralized technology makes it possible for developers to be able to create platforms with pretty good innovation
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP price Hit $0.9, suddenly goes down in second on: February 08, 2021, 04:50:30 PM
No coin can be always higher for every pump always ended with corection, that's why people should not just hold their token, they must always follow up the price, if they think the price already pumped sharply they should to sell it rather for profits and if they want it again, they can buy it after correction.

But dont worry about that XRP can hit it again for sure

Analysts predict a not very bright future for Ripple, but they are encouraging that the value of XRP will not fall below $0.10. To justify delisting, the Ripple team asks its users not to jump to conclusions. And team tries to convince the public that they see the situation only from the side of the SEC.
The problem with the SEC is quite serious, considering they are in the US and since XRP is a centralized coin, I think that would make them less profitable because they are prone to price manipulation. maybe they'll put out some updates about their problem with sec so far, but I don't expect much of them to solve it quickly
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crpto investment in 2021 on: February 07, 2021, 03:55:42 PM
only light advice from an unskilled person. I think coins like Polkadot, Avalanche and Neo will have a pretty good profit considering that currently Ethereum is having a hard time with their gas fee problem. I'm sure many developers are looking for other alternatives for their projects
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which stablecoin do you trust the most? on: February 07, 2021, 03:50:54 PM
As of now, even though USDT had its fair share of blunders, Tether is still the most flexible ALT in the market and is the one go to from exchanges both DEX and CEX. I always use it with my BTC day trading.
I wouldn't call it a blunder if they purposely produced usdt again without being backed up at a 1:1 $ ratio. Btw, now I still use USDT in small amounts myself, as long as they are proven innocent, I think USDT can still be trusted
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the future of Ethereum smart contracts with +$20 cost of gas? on: February 07, 2021, 03:46:50 PM
If this problem continues, I'm sure not only the defi market will suffer the impact, but also to a large part of the crypto community, given the high volume and activity of transactions. Of course ethereum should solve this as soon as possible, at least they provide an update on this issue in ethereum 2.0. there are some projects that have now switched to another protocol at a lower fee, and I'm sure there will be more if etheruem doesn't look for an accurate solution immediately
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How long can this BULL run last?? on: February 07, 2021, 03:41:23 PM
At the moment there may not be any concrete indicators about when the bulls will end. Like last week when bitcoin returned to the price of $30k, people started speculating that bitcoin is going to make a correction soon and maybe the price will continue to fall. but it turns out all of that is wrong and this week bitcoin is back in recovery followed by ethereum and doge with a pretty good market. To avoid losses in the future, always update the news and make a profit if you can make a profit, then set a goal for what percentage of profit you want to get on a scale that makes sense
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shall I HODL DOGE? on: February 06, 2021, 11:23:45 PM
I think doge is better to use for daily activities. for example buying coffee or other things. besides the price is much more affordable, doge is also fast. If Doge continues to have a positive trend like this, and lots of influencers like Elon Musk promote it, I think hold doge will be very profitable.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When This Scam Will stop?? on: February 06, 2021, 11:18:57 PM
Every day there is so many coins launched in the market but they didn't even know about this forum.

This is true. I often get to see newly listed tokens on social media that I never saw advertised or promoted here before thei listing. Most of those projects are good and doing well too and that  makes me think why their teams or developers never came here. Is it that they do not know about this forum despite it been this big or there is something else preventing them?
Of course not everyone is aware of this forum. I also had the chance to see several projects with products that already exist and have an existing ecosystem that are not even recognized in this forum. there is a possibility that maybe their chief marketing officer has his own strategy for starting their marketing awareness and of course this forum is not the only platform available
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Crypto be more valuable than gold? on: February 06, 2021, 11:15:01 PM
I have thought that one key advantage crypto (bitcoin, litecoin, Dash, monero etc.) has over gold is that its supply level is fixed and transparent, but can this or features make crypto more valuable than gold?

crypto can definitely be more valuable than gold. now the price of 1 bitcoin is equivalent to 1/2 kilogram of gold. This is very fantastic for people who are unfamiliar with bitcoin .. if they know the price of bitcoin will soar far then I am sure that gold holders will switch to investing in bitcoin. but in the crypto world there is a high risk so many people don't want to take that risk and stick to pure gold.
In fact it's not just a matter of higher or lower prices. if the OP asks about which one is more expensive, of course bitcoin. But if it's a matter of value, I think gold is still superior. gold is better in terms of physical value and also trust in the public
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Japan Support XRP on: February 02, 2021, 07:04:48 PM
Not bad. but I don't like the "cause" why he doesn't sell his XRP. not because of technology or usecases perspective, but because of the large fan base? c'mon man. Indeed the fan base is quite important, but I guess if his opinion on technology was like that, I wouldn't support it
