Stealth adress working or still in beta? Can i safely use it?
Everything is working fine, but as I have said, there are some bugs in the secure messaging protocol that may cause the client to crash at certain time. To avoid the crash for now, please run "smsgdisable" in debug window to completely disable secure messaging protocol in the client. Latest source and build is dependent upon libsecp256k1 by Sipa, so people who wants to build the client themselves will need to grab latest libsecp256k1 from https://github.com/bitcoin/secp256k1 and build it on your system first. With problem in secure messaging protocol, this client is not ready for mainstream but it should fit for everyday use. Regards, vTorrent |

I'm interested in this coin, but I note there is either no windows wallet or if there is its not working right.
Simple question can I do the following ?
Install the github source on my dedi server
Sync it up
Send some VTR to the online wallet
Leave it staking.
Will that work or is it not as simple as that ?

I am building windows latest beta build at the moment and will also push the new updated source on Github. I will post again after I finished upload the new wallet and put the download link up on the first post. If you would like to build the client yourself, please wait and build from the new source. Some updates on the development front,
There were yet another crash reported related to secure messaging that I need to get it debug and fixed since I see crashes as a major issue.
Our messaging protocol is largely based of the same ShadowCoin secure messaging (ShadowChat) and from the debugging, all the tweak and add-on we did to the protocol are not the cause of the crash.
I did run some test on ShadowCoin itself and sure enough, they also have the same crash problem related to secure massaging protocol in certain condition.
I have debugged and fixed our wallet passphrase lock out issue which is a lot more harder to debug since it only affected some of our user (and also some user in XCash which I am trying to contact their developer to give them a patch to fix this bug and help their users with locked fund), so this crash with secure messaging which is to me a lot easier to debug should be non-issue.
I will keep on debugging and patch this problem, I will also add message Read/Unread status to the protocol for the next build.
The reason I am implementing and spending time improving secure messaging is that I plan to start off our torrent implementation with User to User torrent with upload/download through secure messaging with all of the torrent data resides on the blockchain.
I should be sending beta tester new build in a few days.

As of now, there are number of improvements made to the secure messaging protocol, thanks to some of the suggestion from our beta tester.-Users can now send message with Enter or return key, and add new line with Shift + Enter (same way as many messenger program out there). -Support complete text manipulation including ability to change text color. -Ability to set 'screen name' or 'nick name' on the account for your contact to identify you (optional). -Improve the way text paint on screen and smoother scrolling in conversation window. -Fixed a bug that might affected ALL of the wallet with secure messenger in the market where wallet would crash after leave it run for a certain amount of time. (smessenger.cpp related to std::map iterator) -There will be support for multiple chat window, including detachable window for many part of the client with support for multiple screen in later version. How do you plan to manage size of blockchain indexing to avoid becoming it too large ? ( with that I also mean you have potential attack issue - abnormal blochchain content indexing)
In some respects that's a nice problem to have. Is it an immediate need? At some point, say in year 2, you could always build a link to a local or hosted database. Yes, I agree that these are good question, but at this stage of development I see no problem with indexing or potential attack issue. As of current implement design, storing of torrent data will still be on blockchain (main chain or side chain). Since all the data resides locally in user's computer, search speed and content indexing should be near instant. Secure messaging protocol will be utilized to make user experience better as I am trying to keep UX or user experience to be no different from searching on any torrent listing site. And how is incorporating torrents to the client going?
I am currently testing upload functions and listing of the torrent on the test chain but there will likely be many functions comes before that. I plan to gather small beta tester group in helping out testing the torrent implementations also, especially those who know how to debug and able to give me valuable feedback but it won't be until I think it's ready. By the way, I have good news for all the user with lock out wallet.As I have stated that helping user recover their coins was my first priority, all user with bad wallet.dat (lock out from wallet), your wallet will automatically fixed upon first run of this new client. I don't think this Dev lies. Its hard to tell for sure (especially after so much scams going on around), but he leaves an impression of decent developer, which has too little time to work on the project, but doesn't want to admit that and abandon the project at all, so wants to keep it is some "hibernated state" until he (magically) has more time to work on this.
@vtorrent: please be more open and honest with the community. We all understand there are a lot of things except crypto, and you have real life. But if you are serious about this project, remember the project is public, people spend their time, hashpower amd money on this, so you have some obligations toward them. When you tell "more news coming soon", give the dates! Your current behavior makes you look as scammer, while I am sure you are not!
And have one thing in mind: if you procrastinate longer, this idea (torrents in blockchain) will be implemented by someone else. Nobody will respect the fact that you were first to make a coin on this, if you don't do anything, others will do!
I hope you are right, but I am afraid you are wrong. Dev, see you got a vote of confidence and all you do is keeping silent. Votes of confidence deserve attention. I am still working on this project daily. Since our new client is a major upgrade from the first version, both internal and front ends, lots of testing needs to be done before release. Dev  The only thing that is causing this is the lack of your engagement on this forum. There is plenty of interest in what you are doing. But people need to feel like there is a project here. That doesn't mean you have to post every day. Just a little more, 'I'm doing this and that.' Log in every few days and say you are still doing this and that. A bit of a road map. I can ensure you that I have every intention to move forward on this, and I will do my very best to make vTorrent a successful project. It is still a working in progress and I plan to only give the best stuff for the community. I am currently working on Windows client, hopefully it will be ready in a few days. I sincerely apologize for the delays and absent in this thread due to an unforeseen issue with my real life project/business this month, but I am still working on this project and I do intend to move forward with vTorrent.
