61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DGC] Digitalcoin 3.0 | Multi-algorithm, Improved Blockchain Storage | RELEASED! on: December 17, 2016, 06:43:21 PM
im not sure if they are. the forums where the proposal was kept getting hacked afaik so was taken down. i dont remember how much he controlled. but i do know it was something > 20%.

Updating the codebase and things should be simple enough. when me and xawksow did the V3 upgrade we added the Bitcoin commit history. so a pull request with a few changes from the merge would be all it'd take to bring DGC up to bitcoin 0.13 codebase.

not sure where you clicked. but latest code is here: https://github.com/DGCDev/digitalcoin

There was a proposal for DGC V4. But me and the other devs were driven away by a certain individual controlling most of the money supply and forcing his ideas on all the devs/users.

63  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: bitcoin pool software setup curiosity, my pool, python stratum or node.js pool. on: November 18, 2016, 10:34:58 PM
the stratum-mining with tx message support dev here.

TX Message support refers to coins with a specific message field as part of each transaction. While its possible to store a small message with bitcoin transactions, it isnt the same thing

it is not POS, and it is not all premined

There was a merged mining chain id registry i made so i used a spare one. No one notified me of their id so it wasnt on the list

Here is a list of all existing exchanges (about)

https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/

Should we also try some chinese exchanges? They seem to eat anything there is Smiley

CoinUniverse, what happens if you don't put any value at all? What does 0-9 mean?

I did tab through that field and it filled it with a zero.  Since neither my account on there or the general donations address has gotten any BTC or Npoints I am going to assume people aren't really that interested in getting listed on there.

I was pretty surprised to see Poloniex as the top volume in the last 24 hours.  That is nice.  I opened a support ticket with them since their coin add page just goes to a blank page.

As for trying to get added to that whole list of exchanges, we need to take it slow so that exchanges don't delist TRC because of lack of volume.

Also it is difficult to get listed on a Chinese exchange because no one in the TRC Foundation speaks Chinese.  If you know someone who speaks Chinese and wants to join the Foundation that would be great!  Have them contact me!

Lastly, just being on exchanges doesn't grow a coin.  Being able to spend a coin grows a coin.  If anyone knows of places to try and get added post on here.

I have been thinking that one of the best things we could do for TRC is get the ability to have a button on a website that lets people pay with TRC.  Anyone have any ideas about how to make that happen?

I guess tipping on Reddit would be nice too...

if we can get a fundraiser together for a droplet for a year. When i get the time i'll get some TRC bot's running.

the problem is its yobit. theyve done the same with a number of coins. I paid them some btc on behalf of another dev 0.5 BTC i think which they kept without responding to the dev's ICO request

the p2pool shouldnt be binding to the rpc. Since the wallet is binded to the RPC
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Terracoin 1.0 (TRC) on: September 27, 2016, 12:29:39 PM
nothing should be done. the old chain will die on its own. Once all the mining pools stop mining on it. There wont be anyone to process transactions on the old one and as such no peers. So it'll die on its own

I still have some GreenCoin I purchased on yobit lost in the internet's ether somewhere that I tried to send from yobit to my desktop client....will I ever be able to re-cover that, or is it gone for good.  That incident happened several months back, so I have basically written it off.  I still check my client now and then to see if it magically appeared but my expectations that it will be recovered are very low.

possibly

75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Terracoin 1.0 (TRC) on: September 23, 2016, 09:56:11 AM
afraid that wont work. Since terracoin launch. Some mining pool has been creating blocks with an invalid block version. That is why i had to set the islegacy version to the highest value they made. Apparently this is now conflicting with merged mining.

EDIT: unless its working for you?

EDIT 2:
103c103
<         consensus.nLegacyBlocksBefore = 806000;
---
>         consensus.nLegacyBlocksBefore = -1;

Everyone could try running this patch against their coind's and see if it accepts the block. If so i will apply it to the github and we can move the hard fork forward

I know everyones been waiting for updates. Wanted to give some solid news first.

I'm currently using the dash codebase to create a new POS compatible codebase for greencoin. Managed to get it to accept the genesisblock. But its slow and long work so i will get it finished slowly and get it released for everyone after ive finished developing it and testing it

it shouldnt. I'll see if i can gather some time to get a new TRC p2pool going with a new chain

That would be great Ahmed. Ideally I think we should have a TRC Foundation seednode embedded in the networks.py file in the official p2pool repo, as it looks like the current ones are dead, and that's why people are creating their own sharechains by changing the "PERSIST" value - resulting in multiple sharechains.

That's my theory anyway...... Cheesy

Thanks Ahmed!  What does it take to host a seed node for both normal operation of the wallet and for p2pool?

the new wallet has the needed seed's already inside. the p2pool is just a p2pool node.
