So what you're saying is, I can turn around and sell my raspberry pi and my two BFL Singles for BTC2.6? Maybe if it was a month or two ago...
You're really going to have to rethink that price. Or turn to ebay or so.

Someone needs to pipe this thread to /dev/null. Quickly.

.0275 ...
... since that's the only one that's actually following the bid increase limit. It's not hard, guys. .0225 + .005 = .0275.

When's the current batch due in? If relatively soonish, I may be interested in 3 shares. Just depends on expected delivery.

Just recently upgraded my gaming / streaming / 3D modeling machine and sold off some of the old parts. All that's remaining is this RAM. I'm looking for BTC.1 (~$80) BTC.08 for it. THIS DOES NOT COME WITH THE FAN THAT IS ORIGINALLY PACKAGED WITH THE KIT. I kept that for myself. I did not get a chance to test the RAM, but they were taken out of my live system and to my knowledge are in perfect working condition with no errors. Pictures available on request. Free shipping to US unless expedited shipping is requested. World-wide shipping and trusted escrow available at cost to buyer. Shipping from Georgia, US. US buyers preferred for obvious reasons. [ Edit: Pictures Included ] https://www.dropbox.com/s/d1a9kaczdeakgyl/2014-01-17-202342.jpghttps://www.dropbox.com/s/8z1yj67qru797s2/2014-01-17-202351.jpg[ Edit 2: Shitty pictures are shitty. ] For those of you wanting the text from the labels, it's as follows. Are you a scammer?
Yeah, you're going to give me all your money and you'll never see me again. I reiterate, "happy to use escrow". Is your escrow agent a scammer?

So basically, the only difference between these devices are that they use slightly less power than GPUs of the same speed and cost slightly more to purchase? That's just silly.
I don't wish to start a FPGA vs GPU flame here but FYI: - FPGAs use less power - generate less heat - use less space - there are no problems with the drivers (eg.: for 6 graphic cards / for more speed / for some OS) - are more reliable and the prices are from the producer's website. I'm well aware of the differences between standard GPU mining and FPGAs/ASICs. That's not what's in question here. 1.5MH/sec at 550 watts is already attainable with a video card you can buy for $700. With a power supply, a USB thumb drive to run a suitable OS and for very slightly more power usage, you can build the same exact thing for cheaper. Assuming you use two video cards to match the speed, you're still saving $300-$400. And if you get a good enough deal, $600-$800. I don't see why people were so excited for dedicated scrypt miners if that's the bottom line as to their performance. Frankly, I'm quite disappointed. Anyways, I'll stop ranting. Good luck with the sale. ^^

I really don't mind the build quality, either. To be honest, you're not paying much extra for the case, and the most important part is that there's SHA-256 mining boards in there. And they work. Well.
Besides, how many of us honestly keep our miners in plain sight anyway? At least the Lian-Li cases look pretty as they are, so you can't even complain about that. If the insides bug you so much, don't look inside. Pretty simple, really.

what is that thing dangling at the back?
Power and ethernet cables. Since it's coming from a controler inside the chassis there's really no other place for it to come from.

You might want to change the title from WTS to WTB. You know, since you're looking to buy.

Don't need to worry about glue being used anywhere. There is one thing, though... Plenty of electrical tape. That's what happens when you work with a tiny power supply to host a whole bunch of things that aren't normally found in a PC, though. Not to mention the custom electronics. Even considering, it's all nicely done. Everything's all nice and zip-tied off and out of the way. Well, except for in mine, but again. Blame UPS. They made one hell of a mess of my miner by the time it got here.
I'm going to see if I can't reroute some of the wires in mine, though, because mine seems a lot more cluttered in that. Probably simply because it's a larger miner and a lot more is going on. Either way, in the process of writing that review. It'll be pretty darn in-depth, so it may take a while to post, but it'll get there.

Escrow if shipment is desired?

AMT updated their website. For all Bitfury miners they are now showing acutal miners and not cad images. Yeaa!! Still not the miners with A1 chips but from the forum thread they should have A1 chips in the next two weeks. Yeaa Yep, that's right. And the miners are exactly what they're sending out. I'm running a few more tests on my 128 which I just got working (long story, unimportant... let's just say UPS sucks ass at shipping things) after three days. The device hashes reliably. I'll be posting a review in the next couple of days, just waiting for Jim to get back to me on a question or two.

Should just be one more payment left to msc, who was the only investor at this point thanks to the pen and paper badge brigade.
At this point I'd like to see if anyone else would be interested. Next few investments will be going towards this last round of recently released hardware, most likely an AntMiner device or such, or whatever the investors request. If requested that I invest in upcoming hardware, that's a possibility as well.

You could just recover the account/change password and move along with 3BTC.
What else do you have to offer as collateral?
I dont have anything else You would also hold the email account that the steam account is using , hows that? Not reliable. With a phone call and other proof of ownership, such as linked credit card details and whatnot, it's extremely easy to get your account back.

How can I make it more thrust worthy? Without paying some stranger hundreds of dollars for a program that may or may not fail?
Escrow for this wouldn't even work. Again, the programmer, by your terms, is potentially entitled to nothing but wasted time, and time is money. You could of course see it as a long term investment...
Even most long-term investments come with some form of immediate return. So how can I make my proposition better?
Here's a novel concept. By actually offering payment.
|
|
|
why?
Tell me my mistake?
How about the fact that you're wanting work that most would charge quite a few hundred to quite a few thousand on done for free, backed by empty promises, with no guarantee of return?

Well, so far my experience was less than pleasant, but I'm pretty sure it's not AMT's fault. I do believe I have at least one faulty board, and another one seems... questionable, with variable hash rates. I've been talking with Jim all night and we've been going over some things to try to get it to work, but it just seems unwilling to cooperate. I'll likely try to get in touch with him tomorrow again and see how he wants to proceed with things.
There's one thing that I can say, and that would be that Jim seems like a really great guy. He's been extremely helpful this whole time, and has spent an incredible amount of time walking me through every detail of getting this thing up and running. I honestly don't foresee any troubles with AMT meeting their goals as soon as those chips come in, even if it has been a rather rocky start. Look at it this way, they're definitely not another BFL.
