62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silk Road Like Website Ran Away With Customers Money on: March 21, 2015, 06:42:51 AM
Yeah, thugs run off with online cash all the time. What would you expect when using funds to buy illicit things?
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any bitcoin-turned-millionaires here? on: March 21, 2015, 06:40:44 AM
Not yet, but one day I hope to be.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Threat to Bitcoin? Facebook Rolls Out P2P Payments on Messenger on: March 20, 2015, 07:28:40 AM
Just an unoriginal and lazy hack attempt at trying to steal Bitcoin's limelight.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the bad guy? on: March 20, 2015, 07:27:33 AM
It's just another way for uninformed writers to try and come off as smart. It's so annoying. What a bunch of fools.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust yourself to manage your own private keys? on: March 19, 2015, 01:49:23 AM
1st) If you can't trust yourself to secure your own assets, you will never be rich and don't deserve to be. Get out of the space now, and wait for the inventors and entrepreneurs to create technology to suit your needs, then come back when all the hard work is done and the right people have been rewarded.

2nd) Hardware wallets are coming out for this exact purpose. So if you do decide that you want to take responsibility for your wealth, use a notebook (or two) to log your private and public key information and hold your stuff in cold storage like the rest of us. Just because it's tedious does not mean it's rocket science.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Regulation The End For Bitcoin? on: March 18, 2015, 03:28:54 PM
If the regulation is inefficient, people will break the law.

This has happened with alcohol in the past, marijuana in the past, it might happen with Bitcoin, too.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn your bitcoins ? on: March 18, 2015, 03:17:39 PM
Mined some, then helped people sign up on exchanges whilst also making their first transaction and charged a small fee for my time.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin craze dying down? on: March 16, 2015, 05:03:10 PM
Looks like it's coming back up.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Fireside Chat with Charles Hoskinson on: March 16, 2015, 03:53:43 AM
I have worked with some of the people who you have worked with at DeCentral and Ethereum. I have also seen you in person but have never greeted you (you were busy at the time, and I was shy). I was actually at lunch today with a colleague and had learned that recently you stopped working on Ethereum. Is it alright if I ask why?

I have heard a lot of things, positive and negative from people I know regarding you, and I also know that it's most always noise when it doesn't come straight from the source. Would it be rude of me to ask you some personal stuff on this site, like what happened and why some people have criticized you the way they have?

Mind you I don't know specifics because I didn't want to ask further on negative comments from third party sources (people love to play broken telephone). I just want to take this opportunity to hear it straight from the source especially when said source has been so famous and followed over the past 2-3 years. I have personally been following you ever since the bitcoin education project.

If my question has been inappropriate, I understand and apologize. It is not my intention to put you in any sort of light, much less a bad one.

I hope you continue to apply your considerable talents to the industry regardless of what's happened thus far. Thank you for your contributions to Ethereum (I don't work for them anymore, but I do appreciate the scale of their ambitions even if they might seem naive to others).
71  Other / Off-topic / Re: Complete the sentence... "I would sell all my Bitcoins if..." on: March 15, 2015, 09:24:55 PM
They reached $400K a piece, and even then I'm only selling half.
72  Economy / Economics / Re: An easy way to make bitcoin worth millions of dollars on: March 13, 2015, 01:08:41 AM
I'm sure there are collieries that go with this thought, but it is extremely creative nonetheless and I encourage more thinking of the sort. Efforts like these breed ingenuity.
73  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Best Practice for accepting Bitcoin as Payment. on: March 12, 2015, 01:56:51 PM
As a professional merchent, coinkite would have a lot of security and easy of use. Great service that is under-advertised.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: African migrants using Bitcoin to send money home on: March 12, 2015, 01:54:39 PM
Well, this is demographic Bitcoin was ideally designed to service so hopefully it works out. I am not just talking about a positive reflection on the price either, I mean I hope it works out for their standard of living.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL: Is Bitcoin for EVERYONE or just a new ELITE? Vote! on: March 09, 2015, 06:25:33 PM
Time will tell.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I tried to get ShopLocket to accept Bitcoin payments today. No response yet. on: March 09, 2015, 06:21:57 PM
ShopLocket is the kind of company that can make great use of Bitcoin. They are basically a distributed retail platform that help individuals sell single or multiple items at a one-time transaction fee of 2.5% or with a monthly account costing $99 respectively.

One of the starting co-founders, Katherine Hague, used to work for Shopify. That's also a company that could utilize and provide utility for Bitcoin.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE5tAKpWBmw << That video goes into some of the features of ShopLocket.

Anyhow, I would appreciate any thoughts on your perceptions of this company and it's value to both customers and Bitcoin. It is based out of Toronto, and as we all know Toronto is the El Dorado of Bitcoin.

I do not work for ShopLocket, nor do I own any stake in their operations.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did you do with your bitcoin today? on: March 09, 2015, 12:44:15 AM

79  Other / Off-topic / Re: If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do? on: March 09, 2015, 12:39:48 AM
I would hold until it reaches the $400K mark --> that's the threshold for absorbing the entire world's gold market.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin documentary is playing on international flights on: March 07, 2015, 08:32:03 PM
Fantastic venue for capturing diverse audiences and reinforcing the global underlining of Bitcoin.
