Nope "that" wasn't it. It did it again.
Try the one I thought it was and change USB cable to a different slot on the puter.
Be back later

Is this a problem with a Monarch?  What firmware version does it have?  I have found that firmware version 1.4.5 works great with BFGminer 5.0.0 and up but older firmware

versions can be tricky.  Also, are you using a USB hub?

I'm not sure of the firmware but it's an 800+ but my oldest of the batch after warranties for overheating.
The 4aa was a key in trying to track this down so I swapped the suspected miner with a brand new one and will try that and report back in 24 hrs or so.

Ya I went through the versions of bfgminer till I got one that worked and it was v 5.2.0 for me... [edit] now running 5.4.1
No USB hub just original cables plugged into an old computer running Arch.

Sometimes going through the process of writing it down helps me think of different options.
It's hard to find which one it is out of the 4 miners and it's so random but my hypothesis I start with "that" one
and work my way through them till I find the culprit.

Thanks

Hi, what does

"BFL 4aa: Received queue result response: ERR: INVALID COMMAND" mean?

After this happens the miner slows down and when I press quit it takes a long time to release/shut down/get a command prompt again.

This happens once, twice, three times or not  at all for more than 24 hrs. It's random and I'm trying to figure out what is doing this.

I'm using bfgminer 5.2.0 and it does the same on the latest version too. I was trying the earliest version that will run all the monarchs because it's like someone changing the voltage because it's the same if I made a change in the current version of bfgminer and they don't like it and when I quit it take a while before I get the command prompt back.

This has been happening for about  two months now.

OS Arch Linux, ample power, original USB cables.

Any help or anyone else having this problem?
Thanks

Wow.  That was me.   389685.

A shitty holiday time has just turned into a good one.  Have 2 x S3's and a Terraminer IV pointed here.

Decided to to a 5TH rental today for some reason and that's where it came from!

I saw it go by on my console! I like this kind of solve. I have 3.5 Th and it gives me encouragement to see this.
65  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.93.3 with BIP62 compliance on: November 15, 2015, 12:34:12 PM
It won't load with the armory generated bitcoin.conf only with the p2pool config that I have.

I had in the armory generated config
rpcuser=generated_by_armory
rpcpassword=long password

but it won't load with that
but it will load with this...

listen=1
gen=0
server=1
daemon=1
rpcport=8332
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=192.168.1.12
rpcuser=bitcoinrpc
rpcpassword=AJacKm5v8MHFBU1vvHjznhAiy3MckM8jPMDiX3grbpc5
maxconnections=30
upnp=0
mintxfee=0.00005
minrelaytxfee=0.00005
disablewallet=1

Something has changed somewhere.

How do I get armory to generate that secure bitcoin.conf like it did originally?
66  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.93.3 with BIP62 compliance on: November 15, 2015, 12:15:21 PM
Ah ha! I found it looking in the bitcoin log there's an issue with it accepting connection here's the error that led me to check out the bitcoin.conf
"ERROR: CScriptCheck(): ca0ee950fb4c1092d5b8e91b236db50b541a1eb13f8de26f7334cb7f259b6f6d:0 VerifySignature failed: Non-canonical signature: S value is unnecessarily high"

I switched the bitcoin.conf off and it didn't work so I turned my old p2pool conf on and it connected.

So that's fixed for me but wonder why it would work in linux and not in windows?

Also I'm a billionaire according to my wallet I have 184467440736.77636719 BTC more than there is in existance... When I do a repair wallet it goes away.

Thanks for your help your last comment is what got me thinking about antivirus, firewall then bitcoin log was the hint I needed.

One other thing I noticed is that while in this offline state if I click on wallet properties I hear a system ding and then the interface is locked and just ding ding everywhere I click on the armory interface till I end task.

70  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.93.3 with BIP62 compliance on: November 14, 2015, 06:47:37 PM
Look at the end of armorylog.txt, should have some clue.

Looked and it says "2015-11-14 13:41 (INFO) -- ArmoryQt.py:5962 - Dashboard switched to user-OfflineOnlinePoss"

I've also tried copying all data to my OS's default data directories and checking let armory start bitcoind/qt but it doesn't start bitcoind/qt
Everything works when loading linux mint from live cd with the same parameters so I'm assuming something to do with win10.

Any other tips?
Thanks

Anybody having problems with connecting to the new Armory? I use custom startup options in the shortcut like this --satoshi-datadir="D:\Bitcoin" --datadir="D:\armoryW" but it won't connect with bitcoin core running and windows 10 firewall allowing connections. Settings in armory are unchecked for "Let armory run Bitcoin/QT in the background"

I can usually get this to work but I'm at a loss here.
edit: I tried the checkmark Let armory run Bitcoin/QT in the background too and specified the directories.
Thanks

Is there a way to put the voltage in the bfgminer.conf file now that bfgminer supports changing voltages? And if so what format? I set the cutoff temp like this "set-device" : [   "all:temp-cutoff=78"] and wonder if something similar for voltage?

Also, they go down in voltage well but going up in voltage the program, I won't say locks up but, can't get out of the Manage devices screen untill I force it to quit and even then it doesn't release it for about a minute or so.

Again, great feature!

  • bitforce: Enable changing voltage from the Manage TUI

Thank you for this it works great with my monarchs! I've got two of them that go over 920ghs and this will come in handy in the summer.
74  Other / Archival / Re: How (and why) to use the Relay Network on: May 30, 2015, 03:54:20 AM
Had a lot of trouble with the relay over the past day.
Anyone else seeing problems with us-west?

And like at the moment, I seem to often be the only one sending data to the relay, not receiving anything from the relay.
... it suddenly comes back to life with a truck load of Receives for a very short time, but again now back to only me Sending

For me it was sometimes off. Other times saw an inflood of transactions.
Sorry to say I shut it down and moved to pool mining again but I have one question...

Why? if this is a relay, do we/I have to connect to what it says on the home page of this post. Rather connect to anyone? place or thing?
I don't understand much but can't there be other relays in the bunch other than the initial connect to "java -jar ./RelayNodeClient.jar public.us-east.relay.mattcorallo.com 127.0.0.1:8333" ? reliability seems to be not so much currently. No dis on Matt. But why is he the only one to initiate the relay "string" for lack of better word.
I've seen it where it goes down and you can't connect. Connect to another?
Just saying
Thanks

I haven't seen this elsewhere but if it's a duplicate just let me know.
I found this site http://p2pool.jir.dk/bitcoin/ that finds nearest nodes.
The first time you load the page is not that accurate but refresh and it's better.
Cheers!

OK thanks. I tried CoinCadence.com but too far away then I tried another that wasn't too bad then I connected to one in Guelph then I figured do it myself.

I tried that alternate front end but it didn't show the "Payout if a block were found NOW" section at the top and it's really all I know how to look at right now. But I guess a person could really build that out with the right experience.

Ya I'm greeeeen but got it and then I forwarded my domain name raintowers.com to it and that worked too! I'm just running it on ubuntu.
Don't know what I opened myself up to with regards to security blabla .
Well, you obviously figured out how to open up port 9332 to the world, and how to assign a domain name to that IP address... so you're good there.

As far as other ports are concerned...

9333 - p2pool peer network.  Sets you up as a good p2pool citizen and allows for lots of inbound/outbound connections.  The better connected your node, the better the chances shares/blocks you find end up being accepted.
8333 - BTC peer network.  Pretty much the same as above, except only BTC traffic.

OK thanks for that. They are already opened so I I'm good to go.

I just started my publicly accessible p2pool at http://50.70.132.95:9332/static/
barely figured it out but got it. Whew! Grin

Hi, I see these errors once and a while with 800 Monarchs  BMA0: Ran out of queued IDs after 6 of 7.
What does it mean? Also sometimes I see  hex2bin str truncated.
And BMA0: incorrect result count 10 (INPROCESS:00x00) will try 10 (COUNT: 100x00)
I'm using 4.9.1 built from github on ubuntu x64
Thanks
