61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NAS :: Descendant of NXT 100% PoS|More Exchanges|WinNAS is ready! on: March 18, 2015, 01:47:24 PM
I saw patapato forging today Wink

@User1397367406, good to see you yesterday too Wink  But I can not see you today when I stop forging. Do you see me today?, are you forging?, are we on different fork again Sad ?

I think you're forked again.  All of the blocks are forged by NAS-5HZF-TPQ5-GSHF-7GV33 on both of my nodes.

(If you ever want to check another node, you can use http://funkyvps3.funkymonkey.org:7873 and check the blocks... just don't use a password with funds... I use "hello" as my phrase when logging in here..)

If you (Patapato) have forked again, how is that possible?  The fork would begin if one of the forging nodes loses connectivity to the other forging node but continues to forge new blocks on its own.  (Example:  User1397367406 resets internet connection so the node continues to forge but on its own since it can't communicate with the other nodes.)  As long as the two forging nodes meet up again before 1440 blocks have passed they should be able to agree on a chain and go from there.  Now if the problem was User1397367406's node going offline and causing the problem then the rest of us would agree with Patapato's node but for some reason we all agree with User1397367406.  Is your node disconnected from the web but still forging for any long periods of time?

(I really wish bter.com would send me my NAS so that we have a more permanent forging node running from funkyvps3.)
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HZ] Horizon - HZ API requestType=getAccountAssets on: March 17, 2015, 07:45:19 PM
Where can I find the complete manual of HZ requestTypes?
Thanks!

The list of request types can be found here:
http://localhost:7776/test

getAccountAssets is not on the list.

I'd like to try, but give me a link to client

Links are in the first post of this thread.  You'll want 1.1.3N1.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NAS :: Descendant of NXT 100% PoS|More Exchanges|WinNAS is ready! on: March 17, 2015, 02:05:07 PM
Do you, or anybody with a node, try forging?, I can lease my balance to your account for few hours.

I'm pretty sure that an account can not forge on a leased balance only.  The account needs to own at least 1 NAS before it can begin forging and make use of leased balances.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NAS :: Descendant of NXT 100% PoS|More Exchanges|WinNAS is ready! on: March 17, 2015, 12:33:31 PM

Code:
03-17 02:16:09 jdbc[3]: exception
org.h2.jdbc.JdbcSQLException:
Database is already closed (to disable automatic closing at VM shutdown, add ";DB_CLOSE_ON_EXIT=FALSE" to the db URL) [90121-176]
Are them normal?, is it due to NAS code changes from NXT code?. I didn't shutdown the server, nor the Java VM, is there something wrong on my node?

This error appears for me when I CTRL+C to stop NAS.  I'm guessing that you stopped NAS at that time to clear the block chain and download a new copy from us.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NAS :: Descendant of NXT 100% PoS|More Exchanges|WinNAS is ready! on: March 17, 2015, 12:29:22 PM
I see both of your nodes fighting to forge blocks which is good.
I see your transaction in block 259461.  Smiley

I picked up some NAS on bter.com and tried to withdrawal it but it's stuck.

The response from the support ticket is:
Quote
Dear Sir,
We will process the withdrawal as soon as we are possible

Thanks for your patience.

Hopefully this means that bter.com will come back.  Smiley
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NAS :: Descendant of NXT 100% PoS|More Exchanges|WinNAS is ready! on: March 16, 2015, 09:41:08 PM

I disconnect every day at 09:00 AM UTC for 05-10 min in order to reconnect and prevent auto-disconnect from provider.
The DNS update should start after 5 min max and the propagation should take the longest part.

I see, ok.  So for about 15 minutes each day there's no forging until Patapato resets or someone else finds some way to gain some NAS and starts forging.  Smiley

To get  NAS exchange im very important so ..?

Not sure if I understand this correctly but to get an exchange we first need to agree on the correct fork.  Then we need to be sure there's no other forks out there that we are not aware of which might be better forks than our own.

Then we might be able to convince an exchange to resync their node with our chain to re-enable NAS trading or just hand them a public API node such as funkyvps3.funkymonkey.org:7873 to use.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NAS :: Descendant of NXT 100% PoS|More Exchanges|WinNAS is ready! on: March 16, 2015, 09:13:57 PM
So we're all on the same chain as you (User1397367406) then.  The nightly disconnects means that we have no one forging on our chain over night.

Patapato's node has drifted off our chain some how.  It sounds like Patapato's node is the only node that's on that fork.  All of the other nodes agree that User1397367406's blocks are correct.

If Patapato reset's their node and downloads the blockchain from the rest of us, Patapato should then be forging or fighting with User1397367406's node to forge blocks during the day, and gets all of the blocks during the night when User1397367406 is offline.

The node "funkyvps3.funkymonkey.org" is a new VPS node I setup last week.  I added my desktop as a well known peer for the chain to download and it downloaded the chain just fine matching my desktop's node.

Patapato:  If you do decide to reset your block chain, add "funkyvps3.funkymonkey.org" to your well known peers list.  You should be on the same chain as the rest of us then.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NAS :: Descendant of NXT 100% PoS|More Exchanges|WinNAS is ready! on: March 16, 2015, 06:43:27 PM
I don't understand, as I am also forging all the blocks, but I have quite the same peers than you. So it looks like we have 2 different forks with the same peers, in the same network.

By the way, in my client/server NAS-5HZF-TPQ5-GSHF-7GV33 has his last transaction on 06/10/2014. But he was forging on the same fork as me (NAS-H5AW-7J9F-7VCY-DJ8NB) on 20/02, this is block history on that date:
...
233218 20/02/2015 11:19:33 0 0 0 NAS-H5AW-7J9F-7VCY-DJ8NB 0 B 25874 %
233217 20/02/2015 11:17:34 0 0 0 NAS-5HZF-TPQ5-GSHF-7GV33 0 B 13046 %
...

But I have to say that on 20/02/15 I copied the blockchain of User1397367406. My previous blockchain was not synchronizing since many days ago.

I'm thinking you some how ended up on your own fork.  Both of my nodes show NAS-5HZF-TPQ5-GSHF-7GV33 as the one forging all of the blocks.  This means my nodes agree with lcharles123's node.  Both of my nodes were started clean downloading the block chain from the peers on the network.

Chances are, your forging node and the other forging node at some point stopped talking to each other and both started forging your own threads.  When things merged back (more than 1440 blocks later) the two forging nodes couldn't rewrite history since it's too far back so you continued on your own chains while the rest of the nodes agree with chain from the other node.

I'd say take a look at the previous messages about missing transactions, period of silence (no blocks) from Nov. to Jan. and if you're node has the same missing information, scrap it and join ours.

On my nodes, I see your account NAS-H5AW-7J9F-7VCY-DJ8NB has 22'000'670.0038 NAS with the last transactions of:
Date   Type   Amount   Fee   Account
21/02/2015 16:06:15   Ordinary payment      10   1   NAS-H5AW-7J9F-7VCY-DJ8NB
20/02/2015 05:22:52   Alias assignment      0   1   NAS-MRCC-2YLS-8M54-3CMAJ
24/06/2014 15:30:34   Ordinary payment      21'900'009.0038   1   NAS-H5AW-7J9F-7VCY-DJ8NB
24/06/2014 03:43:38   Ordinary payment      11   1   NAS-QNSP-RHXF-R4JB-B2SL5
24/06/2014 03:37:23   Alias assignment      0   1   NAS-MRCC-2YLS-8M54-3CMAJ
23/06/2014 20:46:04   Ordinary payment      100'000   1   NAS-H5AW-7J9F-7VCY-DJ8NB

Is this right?  If so, switching to our chain won't cost you anything.

If User1397367406 is still watching this thread, who do you see as the current forger of the blocks (since patapato's chain started with your download last month)?
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NAS :: Descendant of NXT 100% PoS|More Exchanges|WinNAS is ready! on: March 15, 2015, 09:47:21 PM
I'm not aware of any other forks right now.  As far as I know, you're seeing the only fork of NAS right now.

As for the 1.5 month quiet period; it's most likely that there were no forging nodes online during that time period.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NAS :: Descendant of NXT 100% PoS|More Exchanges|WinNAS is ready! on: March 14, 2015, 02:48:24 PM
I think Poloniex problem should be solved somehow. They forced people to withdraw their NAS, and now will everything be lost? Maybe they can rollback, cancel withdrawals and use other blockchain, the one you use?
Also note that there is lot of NAS in dgex accounts. They don't trade NAS now, but it's kept in accounts, I can see NAS balance. All my NAS is on dgex and on the way from POLO to BTER. Both more than 100 million. If I get back all my NAS I'll donate 15 million.

If they're forcing people to withdraw their NAS then they must either be connected to a different fork or the API of public nodes.  Before asking them to switch to our fork we should probably find out if they're connected on another fork.  It's possible there's another small group of nodes out there that might be more active.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NAS :: Descendant of NXT 100% PoS|More Exchanges|WinNAS is ready! on: March 13, 2015, 03:26:03 PM
For now..

If btc38.com didn't require facebook to log in, I'd ask them to fix their NAS withdraws and buy what's left to be the 2nd person forging.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HZ] Horizon Long + Fair Distribution|Decentralized Asset Exchange on: March 12, 2015, 05:10:37 PM

Thanks for this, we are sorting these out today.

Here's a few more bugs to add to your list:  (all with 3.8)
- Can't send HZ to any account without a public key on the block chain.  Specifying the public key on the "Send" window does not help, results in "Invalid Request" error.  Attempted to send to the same account through the API page (localhost:7776/test) and the same error is reported.  Could only send coins to the new account through the API without specifying the public key.

- The first time you click "Send Horizon" in the GUI, you're presented with a large window with several fields such as "public key".  Close that window and open it again.  You now have a much smaller window, less fields and no way to get the larger window back without closing the browser window and starting over again.

- Clicking Dashboard / Forged Balance link redirects you to the block list on the left menu filtering out all blocks except for blocks forged by that account.  There is no method to change the filter back to "all blocks" when viewing from the "blocks" menu on the left.  Even using the "view more blocks" from Dashboard / Recent Blocks puts me to a "no blocks found" screen since I haven't forged any.

Edit:  disabling auto smileys.

But there is no option for deposit/withdrawal, there is the word "PAUSE" instead Sad

http://www.btc38.com/trade_en.html?mk_type=btc&btc38_trade_coin_name=nas

It shows trading activity, even with today's date:

Time   Type   Price(BTC)   Amount(NAS)   Total(BTC)
03-11 18:58:40   Sell   0.00000002   3343419.899999   0.06687
03-09 15:14:26   Buy   0.00000003   53233.333333   0.00160
03-07 22:27:19   Buy   0.00000003   2500000   0.07500
03-06 12:15:19   Buy   0.00000003   48666.666666   0.00146

So it has to be working some how...

Since I don't see a node that could be btc38.com; I wonder if there's another group of NAS clients connected (fork) that we don't now about.  I'm going to poke around on the web and find out.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NAS :: Descendant of NXT 100% PoS|More Exchanges|WinNAS is ready! on: March 11, 2015, 10:07:22 PM

I have no clue, but i only seen my node forging all the blocks ...
I'm connected to 3 nodes (patapato's and 2 others)
Would be nice to have a way to go to/show the next page of blocks in the block view.

You're probably the only node online with a balance.  Smiley

My NAS client is still running here but I do not own any NAS coins so I'm not able to forge here.

Anyone know what file the burstcoin contacts information is stored in? I'd like to move my contacts from one computer to another, but not sure where they are located on the filesystem.

The contacts are stored in the browser's database storage for the site.  I'm not sure what the technical term for it is.

For example, on my system, Windows 7 with Chrome, contacts and asset information is in the leveldb files stored here:
C:\Users\ed\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\IndexedDB\http_localhost_8125.indexeddb.leveldb

I agree with CIYAM.. we should change that "-" to something that can be copied on double-click. Decided to play with the code and figured out how to switch it over to "_" which happens to be copyable.  Here try double clicking what will become my new wallet address:  BURST_SYYS_QMGR_BCYN_BVQ2A

Except underscores don't select the whole thing when double clicking either.

What's wrong with the double-click and drag functionality?  On Windows; instead of just double clicking; double click any part of the first word "BURST" and drag the mouse to the last word in the address.  This highlights the address from the first word (section) to the last word and nothing else.

I'm looking to buy some NFDs at the same 25 NFDs to 1 NHZ ratio.

I'm planning on setting up a NFD node to keep the network alive after the transition.  I don't own any NFD coins or assets so I'll need a few to keep the node forging.

If anyone's interested, let me know.

Thanks.
