Pliego is CEO of Grupo Salinas, which manages telecom, media and financial services oriented businesses. Salinas-Pliego is considered one of the wealthiest entrepreneurs in Mexico, with an estimated net worth of $8 billion dollars. The new partnership will allow Bitreserve to access the remittance market in Mexico, through Pliego’s existing financial and banking infrastructure. The partnership will also infuse Bitreserve with an undisclosed amount of investment capital, which will allow further development and expansion.

The new offering will give traders access to margin trading and P2P lending, similar to what Bitfinex is currently offering.
