61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do people around you think about Bitcoin ? on: June 01, 2016, 08:35:48 PM
Most of my friends don't know about it or just ignore it. For them it's just something for tech geeks and nerds.
And yes also something for criminals...
62  Economy / Services / Re: [CLOSED] Ophion Signature Campaign on: May 21, 2016, 05:51:25 PM
For the 13/15 posts minimum, it's not going to make a difference. Those who failed the quota failed with 12 or less posts, hence none of them will switch from unpaid to paid when taking the factor into account (I checked that previously myself).
As for the 3 post rule, honestly, I think this was a bullshit rule, that's why I ignored it in my sheet. However, the decision is up to notaek, which I told him when he asked for my advice regarding the rule.

You can make a reasonable argument for both sides.
I don't think you have to pay them, although I think it would be nice to.
In the end, it's not my money being spent on this, so that's really a decision up to you.

Obviously he would say yes to that since it would cost less.

As far as it goes to the min post rule of 15 / 3 post rule it's obvious that the terms of the campaign have changed, being forced to be stopped early. Which makes it hard to find a satisfactory solution.
On one hand rules are rules and if you follow the rules  strictly it would be clear that the deadline and counting of the post should be tomorrow.
Next week on sunday I can see how many slots will be free then registration is open again.

Since already more then 20 others posted before all who are still posting it does not make sense to create reservation list.

So I will just reopen it and then it's first come first serve.

The campaign will be for 4 weeks total.

The campaign manager did set out rules for us

Well we don't need to be that harsh  Cheesy
All I ask is to create 1 or 2 good sentences that has a little content, opinion or whatever. An example of unqualified post: "Go go Bitcoin, Arise Chicken."  Grin
Genos already have a nice CBX signature, why change it anyways!

During the confusement of closing the threads members (like me for example) were not sure as to what would happen nor could post from friday morning into the main thread).
I did post 2 times in the thread but was waiting for a better discussion since users were spamming (WOW what a great coin and that kind of rubbish. Which the team didn't like.)

So what is fair in this regard? Opinions are good and should be considered but at the end of a project it's not the opinion of third party's that count, but the rules that were set out.

I think we all agree this mess should be be over with ASAP.

BTW. What's seems odd is that you would not count post made on 20/5? Wasn't the campaign last to this Sunday?

EDIT
There can be 2 options really
1 Either follow the rules strictly and with that take all rules in regard and count (re-count) the post tomorrow, with a new 'temporary' OPHION thread Or use the signature thread since that's the only thread left now
2 Or make a balance today of the post and have a discussion about which rules to follow and which rules not.

63  Economy / Services / Re: [CLOSED] Ophion Signature Campaign on: May 21, 2016, 04:18:53 PM
Hello Lutpin. As you are controlling the campaign now.
I'm not. I've created a spreadsheet with what I believe to be the right amounts due for payment to each user.
That spreadsheet however is not binding, it's merely an offer I make to notaek.

I want to say that I am not satisfied with this spreadsheet.
Neither am I. However, that's not my spreadsheet to start with. It was created by the user laikuf.

In this spreadsheet I am not eligible for payment because I didn't wrote any posts in Ophion Thread(Rule No.2)
I chose to ignore that rule in my sheet, however I noted those who wouldn't be eligible by that rule, so notaek can decide how to continue.

I am not an spammer or unsubstantial poster. so I think I should get my payment of 22 posts.
It's not my task to evaluate post quality, my sheet is only based on the quantity of posts, not their quality (most of the users here wouldn't have been accepted in one of my campaigns to start with).
I've got you noted down wit 17 posts in mine.

I've created a spreadsheet with the payments I think are fair/due/fitting/..., you can find it under the following url:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1i9Ma81rDFodUDbqZhHgGPnSszrijEgpSvtdzbWycpwg/edit?usp=sharing
If payments are made according to this sheet, notaek is to pay 0.537 to 25 different users.
I chose to ignore the rule requiring 3 posts in their official thread, however, I noted those down that didn't.
However, in the current version, as the sheet is right now, the rules for a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 25 posts stand.
I haven't counted any posts made after May 20, 2016, 08:50:28 AM, which is the time BTCat halted the campaign.

I think it's unfair to use the 20/5 date as the end post date. We signature members were under the impression that we had until today to post. In my case 10 posts are deducted and i get 0 payment according to your sheet. Which is just unfair.
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2016 Play-Off Discussion on: May 20, 2016, 03:00:14 PM
stupid raptors cant score in the last couple mins of the half and blow the cover

sick to be getting 8 points first half and be tied with a couple minutes to go
and yet not cover 8.
The Torronto Raptors are just going to be swept by the Cavs, the Cavs are just way better then the rest of the eastern conference that is just who it is. Only the Nba finals is going to be a real match for the Cavs.
Torronto has done a great job on coming to the eastern conference finals but they do not have the skills yet to take out Lebron and the Cavs. This series was already over before before it was going to begin.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: May 20, 2016, 02:54:52 PM
Gambling is addicting to use because there are many people thinking that they can earn some fast money with it and that is actually not true because losing is a much higher chance with gambling.
So you gambling is just for fun to do and not to be rich of it because that is hard to be rich with gambling.
People need to know that is a fact that they will lose more then actually win it. But they keep thinking that one day they will in this insane amount of money and they do not have to worry about money again.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: May 20, 2016, 02:48:34 PM
Sevilla outclassed Liverpool in the final in every way. I think Sevilla have experience of winning trophies & held their nerve better on the night.
Yeah you saw that back in there game against Liverpool. I was rooting for Liverpool but it was not meant to be and Sevilla was in control of the whole game and never had any problem doing to so.
67  Economy / Speculation / Re: DONT PANIC!!! EVERYONE STOP SELLING!!! on: May 20, 2016, 02:37:39 PM
Whoever is fucking selling btc stop it your going to crash the market!!! At least wait til after the halving to dump?!?!
Why should we stop selling our coins can someone explain this to me because I do not why we should stop making. I am sure that you have a good reason for this but I like to know the reason for this because I am confused.
68  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC = 1000$ in 2016 on: May 20, 2016, 02:34:27 PM
I do not think it is not possible for the price to be $1000 in 2016 because we are not even halve way there. We have yet to hit 500 dollars so for the price to be 1000 dollars is probaly not going to happen any time soon. Especially not in 2016 maybe it will reach that in 2017.
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stable Bitcoin Price on: May 20, 2016, 02:29:49 PM
Personally I do not like it when the price is stable for to long because then there is nothing really to do on Bitcoin. I am here to make money so with the price bein stable I have to wait even longer for the price to up so I can make some money again.
70  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin replaces the money? Could happen? on: May 20, 2016, 02:18:57 PM
Now in some places to buy goods directly can use bitcoin, how to conduct transactions directly using bitcoin? Because I place no purchases using bitcoin.

Nowadays has developed, which initially buy goods directly can only be used with the currency and credit cards, and can now use bitcoin although only in some places. Is it possible that the next few years means of exchange for transactions money initially turned into bitcoin?

What do you think about this?
I think that it is not going to happen because there are so much different currencies in the world. almost every country has there own currency. It is possible for Bitcoin to take over one currency of on country but not all of them.
71  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: May 20, 2016, 02:13:45 PM
Bitcoin is safe to use, many people make use of it so the chance is small that it will not be safe for you. There of course the chance that something will happen like getting hacked or scammed but as long you do not attract any attention then you are safe to go.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUCK! Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: May 20, 2016, 02:08:03 PM
I do not agree with this because the price is now finally moving again and is ready to reach $500 so I do not understand why people say that it is dead or going to die.   I understand that people say that Bitcoin is dead when the price is stable but not at this moment.
73  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still believe in bitcoin on: May 20, 2016, 02:01:57 PM
It never hurts to take a break. I wouldn't say give up on Bitcoin, but just step away from it. Maybe find a new hobby that will engage you like Bitcoin then. The best thing is that you now understand how it works and what it does. If the technology ever goes mainstream will have that knowledge to help make any transitions for you easier.
I do still believe in Bitcoin and never have faced any problems with it so there is really no reason for me to leave Bitcoin. So until I can still keep doing my thing I will continue to use Bitcoin and will not stop with it.
74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: May 18, 2016, 08:47:20 PM
The poor people that live from the hopes of making money on gambling are very deluded and im sorry for them. Im broke myself and I know how stupid it would be to spend my hard earned money in risky gambling. Sure, taking big risks its the only way to get out of the broke situation, but if you lose you will not even be broke anymore, you will be on the streets begging for food and I would rather stay broken than that. My only hope is that my Bitcoins are valuable enough in 10 years to change my life.
Most of the people do not understand, how gambling should be played unlike you. They forget the value of their bitcoin and simply going for gambling to waste them.
I guess you will become rich with your bitcoin hoardings and you will come back to gambling after you become rich.

That's a wise thing you say. For some bitcoin holds less value then money. Which is a wrong, since they both hold the same value. For that reason people in casino's play with chips and not with money. It's easier to depart from your chips then to depart from your money
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin prices jump to $600+ in... on: May 18, 2016, 08:43:24 PM
I don`t think we can see this price before July, even then its a big question in my opinion.  My prediction is end of August, and that is I think very reasonable prediction. 2 months after halving is enough time to go on 600 $ and even more. My general prediction is that bitcoin will reach 700 $ until the end of the year.

We have nice wishes, all of us. So we need to wait and be patient for that. Normally we need to continue to work and spread the word about BTC.

Well nice wishes will not get us there. The price of 600 is very far from where we are now. The market seems to stop bitcoin whenever it comes to 450 or higher.
My guess it will not get to the momemt we will see 500 this year.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is it to store your bitcoins on a mobile phone? on: May 18, 2016, 08:36:14 PM
for the moment wallet in the PC somewhat more secure. you just have to save your wallet as secure as possible. the important thing is secure your computer from viruses. do backup wallet at all times. securing your computer together with securing wallet.
yes i'm agree with that, maybe for security reason dekstop wallet is better than online wallet or mobile phone storage, but for easy used and carriying, its still matter for dekstop wallet, wecan't bring our PC anywhere. and also i think dekstop wallet should haved by people who really know about malware and virus or phising, becaue if not, newbie will easy to lost their bitcoin on dekstop wallet.
Mobile phone wallets are good only for mobility (hence, mobile) in which you can access easily anytime anywhere as long as you are connected to the internet, of course. However the risks are high.
Forgetting and losing your phone somewhere, snatched out of you, being bricked, hacked, spied, steal your information. It's fairly easy to do that when you're connected to the internet so only place in small amounts in phone wallet for small transactions and stuff.

Well i've got the blockchain app on my iphone and so far i am very happy with. Security is tight with a lot of security features. Not that I would store over 3 bitcoin on my phone, that's asking for problems if you ask me.
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: PANIC BUYING !!!!!!! on: May 18, 2016, 08:28:07 PM
Panic buying happen on any market where trading occurs. It's has been here for a long time and will be there forever. When you are trading an asset like bitcoin, everybody will think about how secure it is right? And since it has just come into the world, it can also just dissapear which why I do understand it.

That's the problem with bitcoin, not just trading. Too many people who like bitcoin think they are trading. With every tiny movement they follow their emotion and the market. Which is the exact opposite what any trader would do. To make money, you need money and you have to take risk.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] OPHION - A Secure, Anonymous & Decentralized Market |CROWDSALE LIVE| on: May 18, 2016, 08:21:54 PM
-snip-

Perhaps...
But the concept how it is is good enough for people to invest over 16 BTC in just a week. Which means investors believe in it. So do I tbh. If it is a final choice
- We use APi's and never develop a unique system or
- We use a custom system

My guess would be option 1. With software you will see many things that are developed needs fine-tuning. This hidden markets feature is something genius. Let's see how that will play out.

The strength of any successful product lies in it being unique. Sure small bugs will come and they will be fixed, something that will happen with either option...

But as investors wouldn't you be more attracted to a cutting edge environment made with the sole purpose of it being the next big thing? I would.
Simply because it can't be cloned easily and it can (or should i say, it will) last longer...
79  Other / Archival / Re: Do you have paypal account even though you have bitcoin? on: May 18, 2016, 08:16:44 PM
After see this topic paypal or bitcoin?, i'm curious who have paypal account these days.
Do you still have paypal account even though you have bitcoin?
Yes i do have paypal account but haven't used it for over 2 years now, i hope i don't have to use it.

Exactly same here I have account but I havent used it since long time as bitcoin is taking care of me and I really don't need Paypal at this stage.

I use my paypal seldom, although I got quite some balance there. These days it's better and faster to pay with bitcoin or creditcard. Having an extra paypal account is not usefull, which is why I am considering to terminate my account soon.

A few months ago i closed my paypal account too. Most shops accept creditcards so what's the need for paypal? Creditcards provide the same buyers security as paypal. And hopefully in 3 years time I can say the same thing about bitcoin.
80  Economy / Economics / Re: Europe in Crisis on: May 18, 2016, 08:03:29 PM
Bitcoin and Europe?
No way. Europe looks the same way towards bitcoin as the US. They want to keep it out of the economic system. That's why they stopped printing the 500 EUR bill.
Criminals were 'using' it. The same applies for bitcoin...
