Stock BIOS is best to use with 4XX cards here. Actually got better speeds when flashing back to stock from my ETH mod BIOS.

Works amazing! thanks
STOP The thanks! You are making the thread going fast, unusable for support question and impossible to follow, even claympre wont be able to follow it. Just use it for problems, advises and suggestions! Thanks for posting this. And thank you Claymore!

Claymore, you're a phenomenon. You absolutely nailed it.
All the stability issues we've been having, ended. Miner starts up in seconds now, not 2~3 minutes as it used to sometimes on my 7 GPU rig.
Getting 45~50 mh/s on my RX480s and 50~55mh/s on my 290xs.
2.5% of 800 mh/s coming your way.
The man is a legend. Fuckin a right cotton.

Good news: I'm going to release my ZEC miner in a few hours so all ZEC-related discussion will move to new thread finally ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Bad news: I was not reach 100h/s on 390 in this version. I'm going to improve speed, but people want to have miner asap so I will release it as is, about 50h/s on stock 390X. I don't like to hurry so further improvements will be added later. FUCKING YES!I'll wait...i don't care if i sleep very late tonight or early morning ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Latest Silent army release, which is free, without a fee, does 50 as well.. isn't that something? How stable is it? The real key for a lot of people - is it available on doze?

Checking this post 100 times a day for news about Claymore's miner.
It's not the miner that the world needs, it's the miner that the world deserves. And we'll haunt this thread. Because he can take it. Because he is not our hero. He's a silent coder, a watchful protector. The Dank Claymore.
I am doing the same. This thread is no longer Ethereum mining only. It is a place to communicate about ZCash. Its the hype right now and way more profitable than ETH if you can deal with the unstable miners publicly available. People want a fire and forget solution like they've come to expect from Claymore's miners. The community is on the edge of their seats anticipating its release!

if someone could compile this and make a windows executable he would be a hero
Be heros and load me up with 0.5 BTC and I'll do it. 1JM9piGTeH4zHDwpzWmPh7Tb1rTwZujBzJ

Are they recognized in the device manager?
Almost guarantee that shutting your rig down and clearing the CMOS will fix your issue.

i think he got paid to NOT release it. it would be out already
Very much doubt that. He said a few days. We're still in that "few days" period. Creating custom software takes time, and even devs require sleep. True story there. Also, they should be rewarded for their efforts - bring on the miner Claymore!!! If your hashrate is 1/2 of what you are shooting for, you'll probably have the majority of miners running your software.

You do realize that Zcash will bring more or less the exact same profitability as Ethereum does right now.
Only good thing is if the market cap is large enough then ETH difficulty curve might slow down.
Good prediction based on solid facts... Changing your tune there adaseb?

@Claymore, great to see you getting involved with ZCash! It's relieving to have a miner on the horizon that doesn't require constant babysitting of rigs and/or bat files that restart the software every 10 minutes. I've actually just gone back to mining ETH until a better miner comes out, gladly will pay a % to the dev, good news!!!!!!

Have pointed all my rigs back to ETH, the stability of the current ZEC miners out there are just too much of a PITA to deal with. Tried genoil and it is great when all the cards are hashing, but that seems to be the exception and not the rule. Appreciate his efforts getting that miner out and it is helping with keeping the distribution of the coin on a more even keel, but I just can't dedicate the time to babysitting rigs. I think things will change in the next three days though ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Any indications on what difference, if any, there are on RX-series cards running ETH optimized BIOS (1500 straps) vs running stock. Is there a better route to go with BIOS mods for this algo?
See my results above in the thread, I'm running 1375 strap. I think it improves ~10% compared to stock results I saw earlier. Any HW errors running the 1375 strap? If you mean in general, never under 2000 memclock. Mostly 2010 is ok too. SGminer give me errors at that speed though. Over 2010 I get errors, but same with other straps. Running zcash miners, no errors for the little while I mined, it does not stress memory as much as ETH it seems. Very similar to XMR mining in how the hashrate increases/decreases with both coreclock and memclock. What model rx 470 are you running? I could not get ANY of mine to run stable over 1900 mem with 1500 straps. I am astounded you can get yours to run over 2000 mem with that tight of settings. Can you post your BIOS up here so I can take a look at it? Maybe my approach has been wrong (using polaris editor).

Definitely going to check out that open source miner that was just released. We have a benchmark speed to compare other options with, good news!
