I mean seriously... with bitbay they want you to prove you're not going to sell "bad" stuff on another software/market (halo - which last i heard was some sort of weird obfuscated "opensoure" too) then you get permission to set up a market on bitbay and moderate things... Seriously ? ? ? ? ? That is really a messed up complicated shit-mess that nobody wants.. !!!! Syscoin and Bitbay have had working markets for awhile and they haven't even passed the $500k mark so let's be realistic here... Are their markets anonymous? There is no info they are on the websites. No they're not anonymous, and they are moderated by weird dev ... I think one is still closed source or he claims opensource but its obfuscated or some crap, no thanks ! Plus the reason for their failed marketcaps, is they weren't distributed well and the supply is too big in my opinion. Not to mention, no masternodes / better blockchain support either. So, +1 for SLING. When the market is launched successfully, it will really be unique! |

ok I'm in. After seeing some action and some big market buys last night, I can tell there is interest in this coin. And there should be, a decentralized market place wrapped up all together in the wallet is what a lot of people have been waiting for. I won't miss this.. while I didn't get in at the bottom, I feel there is plenty of room to grow. I have accumulated enough to start a MN and want to contribute to the network in that way.
Can I give a 'yes' vote to the weekly MN winner? I think if we see more coins going in to the MN network it will give more confidence overall as well. Currently there is 750k coins, and almost 150k wrapped up in nodes/investors/supporters .. 600k sling available at this price seems silly
I am sorry but this market will not be DECENTRALIZED. that is a common misconception. There is no proof of this, how will images be stored etc, it can all be traced back. Such BS. There is NO white paper to explain decentralization. People are not going to use a wallet that someone just threw a market into and called it decentralized. IT REALLY COMES DOWN TO THIS:

While I do agree that killa8888 is annoying af and needs to stop with his shit and stop advertising coins in the wrong threads, he did call it with the whole thing about having iasues with the market. He was also correct about the dev trying to pump his own coin.
Ok, issues are not nice, but it happens all the time in crypto. Are there any proofs of dev's pump attempts? Coin got magically pumped last night way after deadline of market release, vaxa said dev is buying, when pump stopped you could clearly see all the sell orders after 75000+ sat were humongous bags. After i confirmed what vaxa stated, dev posted and said he had issues with the market and said he had to "clear his mind." He got burnt and lost btcs on his pump Meh, it's not a proof. Just some conspiracy theory. |

Be patient people, SLING does not look like a pump and dump, which means things don't happen within 5 mins here. We are just ending a long shakeout - one week long. The only thing that is tempting is to sell the heights and buy back the dips, like I did with CRAVE, but it can be dangerous too. Most probably I will just sit here with my SLING and enjoy the ride.

Appologies for delay in getting SlingRoad ready for public consumption.
I've been doing end to end scenario tests and when I got to paying the vendor it kept crashing.
What 's been happening is when you make a buy request the vendor clicks accept and it creates a 2-of-2 multisig address on the vendors side. Then the vendor sends the security deposit to it, then, that gets sent to the buyer and the buyer locks the escrow by sending the funds to that address. That part is all working great!!
Next step, after the vendor ships the item, the buyer clicks request payment which creates a transaction that spends the funds from the multisig address and sends the entire amount (vendor's security deposit + buyer's security deposit) to the vendor...It sends that raw transaction string to the buyer for them to sign and then they can click Pay/Release Escrow, and it will sign it and broadcast the tx to the network and the vendor gets paid.
The problem I'm getting right now is, I created an item listing and ran through it, and when I click pay it crashes and the log says TX Decode Failed. But if I paste the raw tx string into the rpc console and do decoderawtransaction, it decodes it correctly. Multi-sig stuff is complicated and the fact that the escrow locks successfully and the ui buttons enable/disable correctly is a big accomplishment.
After spending a long time trying to work out why the error return keeps happening I kind of know what the problem is at last. ... I'm pretty sure this bug is because I was passing a string instead of an array into the decoder. I also thought it might be to do with checking the escrow lock before the tx's had chance to confirm but even after confirmation it's still saying TX decode failed.
Once I crack this last bug so it's working smoothly for finalizing transactions, in all scenarios, it's good to go!
I've been up working on this for the second 24 hour in a row now so I'll probably need to get some rest soon and get back on it with a refreshed mind.
Will keep everyone updated.

Decentralized market is nothing new, hate to break it to you.
There is a difference betwen decentralized market and an altcoin with out-of-the-box, easy to use, in-wallet market. Sling is the first. There were many "facebooks" before Facebook. |

Me too, and keeping my fingers crossed for the release. Sling looks really solid with the idea, website, graphics, roadmap etc. The dev seems enthusiastic and capable. If there aren't any major bumps, it can really be a success and not only overnight success
