61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Client do you use and why ? on: October 02, 2015, 10:48:37 PM
I use MultiBit now,but before I using Bitcoin Core.

I am still using Bitcoin core, I feel quite safe with full validation wallet. With Multibit you must rely on outside blockchain - which, as previously confirmed can be problematic at times.

I don't think that there is a real threat to using an SPV wallet.

Gambling.

Yes, gambling makes a lot of money for the people that run the websites  Wink
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a way to earn at least $1 in BTC per hour? on: October 02, 2015, 03:50:31 PM
You could always try arbitrage trading by buying Bitcoins (or an alt coin) cheaper at an exchange and then sell them higher at another exchange. This is risky, but if done correctly you could earn a decent amount of profit. I've done this with NXT and earned $0.25 in profit. If you repeat this, you could get $1 in an hour or less.  Grin

You can get bots to do this, it's called arbitrage I think.
I don't think it's risk free though.

bump, this is still for sale.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Private blockchains are “just” shared databases - Gideon Greenspan on: October 01, 2015, 05:29:38 PM
Why would you ever want a private blockchain? Since there's only one thing controlling it, wouldn't they be able to just change things since they are 100% of the hashing power?

Government restrictions on amount of Bitcoin to be transactions with.

http://www.coinfox.info/news/3205-mexican-government-places-bitcoin-and-cash-on-the-same-footing

Interesting

That's the right way to regulate bitcoin, IMO

Due to the coin can move instantly to abroad, and it is impossible to enforce an international regulation around the globe, the most possible way is to treat it as cash, so that all the cash regulations today applies to bitcoin. This will save the regulators a hell lot of resource and effort while still have the risk under control in the current regulation framework

Large transactions will have to follow AML and KYC regulations, and resulting in further conflict between users and regulators

How can they actually enforce it though? How will they know who is spending more than $38,000 in one go?
70  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Changetip alternative on: September 30, 2015, 08:52:08 PM
I heard of something that might be a good alternative.  "Bitcoin" I think they were calling it.  There were others like "litecoin" for even smaller transactions.

I like your Sass but how can you tip a non - bitcoin user , bitcoin ... one of the primary Raison d'etre of using changetip in the first place discussed in the OP.

You can use ShapeShift.io to send Bitcoins to someone using an altcoin.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you used Bitcoin as Real money to buy Real/physical goods? on: September 30, 2015, 07:51:34 PM
Nowadays also the SSL connection is not very secured as advertised and your documents can go to the thieves.

If you're not completely incompetent, you should be able to set up a website with SSL.
But yes, sending your documents to random websites online doesn't seem very safe.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a way to earn at least $1 in BTC per hour? on: September 30, 2015, 07:49:31 PM
What I do is just join a sig campaign and max out the max posts they will pay for the week.

Win, win, win, win.

I don't think you're going to get $24 a day from a signature campaign  Roll Eyes
Also coming up with a lot of posts every day will be difficult, you don't want to piss people off and then get banned for shitposting.
73  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 21 Bitcoin Computer or Cloud Mining Website ? on: September 29, 2015, 09:47:22 PM
21 is overpriced and will never ROI

I don't think it's supposed to be a device that you would try and mine for profit on.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: September 29, 2015, 09:45:52 PM
it is also illegal to buy from places like dark-maeket and those suppliers.

Is it illegal to buy anything through them, or just drugs?
What if I bought a piano or a painting through a dark net market?

76  Economy / Digital goods / [Selling] nixverse.com domain name on: September 29, 2015, 04:49:42 PM
I bought a domain a while ago but I don't really have the time to do anything with it at the moment, so I am looking to sell it.
The name is nixverse.com and I uploaded some proof here.
It's currently registered with Namecheap and expires at the end of August 2016.

I'm looking for ~£10 for it, which is roughly 0.06 BTC
If you want to use an escrow, you can pay the fees.

Thanks  Smiley
77  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: How Many Of You Use blockchain.info wallet ? on: September 29, 2015, 03:41:21 PM
I need safer wallet but I was too lazy to learn about offline wallet

Get a Ledger or Trezor.
I can't speak for the Trezor, but the Ledger is super easy to use.

I use blockchain as my wallet to receive coins. They are not strict as to where coins came from, unlike others wallets where if they found out that coins comes from gambling sites or known ponzi sites, they will send you a notice through email that you need to transfer your coins to somewhere else.

Which wallets do that?
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Realistically does bitcoin have any competition ? on: September 29, 2015, 03:39:33 PM
Well here goes another competitor down the drain or at least they are in the deep s**t. Ethereum's Vitalik just announced that they are nearly broke! How did they manage this, I don't really know!

https://blog.ethereum.org/2015/09/28/the-evolution-of-ethereum/

That's depressing, I think this is because the Bitcoin price halved instead of Ethereum failing.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need the bitcoin foundation to fix the blocksize problem on: September 29, 2015, 03:34:04 PM
Anyway... i tried to find a way to use the blockchain for real votes for political parties. But there seems to be no vote system that can achieve that that is not prone to manipulation and still are free, secret, equal, directly and general.

Is that not a good thing though?
Should the votes of 100 people which hold next to no BTC be worth more than 99 people that hold a lot of BTC?
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Eventually the FUNGIBILITY issue of bitcoin will make headlines ... on: September 29, 2015, 03:26:44 PM
If people start trying to blacklist coins I will do everything in my power to stop them

So nothing?
We are mostly powerless.
