61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Outside risk: similarities between gambling and trading? on: May 11, 2019, 06:58:42 AM
I Think risk and reward are the two similarities between gambling and forex, stocks and cryptocurrencies trading. For those that have been doing trading and gambling what did you notice as a similar among the two and through experience how much have you made from the both?

The risk is quite high on gambling because you are going to rely more on luck than your skill, compare to trading where much of it relies on your skill to analyze the pattern and situation, there is a good profit to be made in trading than gambling, anyone can play a gamble and win in the first time but it's hard to do that in trading.
On the contrary, gambling is not just a game of luck but skill is also required. This idea of gambling as a game of luck is what is affecting most gamblers daily. They keep on hoping that it’s a game  of lucky and many would play without preparation. You cant succeed in gambling with this kind of mentality. GAMBLING REQUIRES SKILLS. In poker game, skill is highly required, same as sport betting, you have to be current and smart in making decisions.

On similarity, aside the fact they both require skills, I would say that they are both very risky games. You can’t be too confident of winning in gambling regardless of your skills and you can’t be too  sure of winning also in trading.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hardcap ICO is no guarantee that the project will succeed on: May 11, 2019, 06:17:08 AM
That's true ico or reaching hardcap is not a guarantee that the project will be successful. This is a thing about crypto there are no guarantees at all. The project which looks absolutely successful can be failed, doubtful one can be very successful. There are a lot of things from depends will project successfully or not and luck is very big part of it.
I don’t think luck has anything to do with the success of a project, if they wanted luck, they would have just gone through gambling to raise their fund, this is people’s investment we are talking about, they assured investor that the project will be a successful one and that is why investors gave their money, they would have stated it in their project that the success of the project is based on luck and see if they will get a dime.

Project developers do not need luck, what they need is a working product and they need to be very hardworking to make the product known to the world. A quality product and solid marketing strategy is the key to a successful project.

I think he knows what he is saying ,john McAfee is a someone who runs mouth without evidence ,he has better evidence at hand before making that statement ,its just a matter of time before we know the truth
If it is true, then satoshi must have given him the go ahead to reveal his identity because I do not see any reason why he will reveal it without his permission. For him to have made that statement, he must have really made up his mind to do so, so what is delaying him revealing it?

That is why I believe it is just hype to create attraction for himself, an then when the whole attraction thing dies down, he will come up with another topic again to still revisit it in order to renewed the his popularity. Anyway, since you believe that they have any meaningful thing to offer through his word, you might as well wait for eternity for him to reveal satoshi.
64  Economy / Economics / Re: Joseph Stiglitz: ‘We should shut down the cryptocurrencies’ on: May 10, 2019, 01:12:04 PM
Joseph Stiglitz, a Nobel-Prize winning economist, says cryptocurrencies should be shut down. He worries that they enable illicit activity by making money transactions less transparent.

Still, he sees the value in digital payments systems and supports electronic use of government-backed currencies like the dollar.

“I’ve been a great advocate of moving to an electronic payments mechanism. There are a lot of efficiencies. I think we can actually have a better regulated economy if we had all the data in real time, knowing what people are spending,” he says.

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/05/02/joseph-stiglitz-we-should-shutdown-the-cryptocurrencies.html
The thing is,  everything that has its advantage will also have a disadvantage. Cryptocurrency has a lot of advantages, and there is also disadvantages . I have seen those that claims that cryptocurrency can be used in sponsoring terrorist attacks, okay good,  but before there was anything like cryptocurrency,  terrorists were being sponsored, but by what? Lol.

If it's by dollars, then we should as well do something about that. Instead of stopping cryptocurrency,  we should only be looking for ways to persecute those that makes use of cryptocurrency for evil purposes.
65  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you figured out what you are Investing in? on: May 10, 2019, 12:38:10 PM
The hyped in 2017 cause bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies to surged toward the end of the year and complete crashed back to the bottom in December 2018. Did people really know what they are investing in?  Is a question that keeps ringing in my mind and actually the answer to that question is that people follow the hype and forgot to  checked for reality before investing and this come from the testimony of those that has claim of making big profits or gain from the past surge that came into the cryptocurrencies market.
I think the red flag there is that people think of what they are going to get from their investments into cryptocurrencies more than the capital they have invested and as results when the reality done on them,  they began to sell out of panic and in turn the market clash like it happens through 2018.
Now that we have another opportunity to invest because of the down turned,  I do believe that it is good you look at the reality behind any coin you want to invest in and not the FUD,  manipulations,  FOMO and hype behind those coins.
Anyone who is investing in crypto without knowing what it is must be a foolish person, cause I don't see the reason why you would choose to invest in something without knowing anything about it or knowing how it works , that looks stupid. I have seen some people that does that.

There is a guy I know that got on crypto investment just because he was told that money comes from it (oh and he wasn't told the price can drop) that's how he ended up losing more than half of the huge amount of money he invested within two months after price dropped from the peak. I blame him for not getting to know how bitcoin works, cause he bought and locked it away waiting for the right time to touch it.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Happy accidents on: May 10, 2019, 11:58:31 AM
There are no ACCIDENTS I repeat there are no accidents . There are just mistakes or bad decisions which will eventually end up in some good or bad co incidence which we term as accidents that's it. Everything is meant to happen.
There’s actually a huge difference between accident and mistake. Accident is when I didn’t plan to gamble a certain amount and discovered that I have unconsciously typed it and it can no longer be reversed, I just have to wait till the game ends. Mistake on the other hand is when I planned to pick a card but because I wasn’t careful enough, I discovered that I picked a wrong one and I can change it back to the right card.

Most times that we make mistakes, we always realize that it could have been avoided but Accident its always clear that we wouldn’t have been careful enough. It would happen regardless.
67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you play at a casino where payments are delayed for days? Why? on: May 10, 2019, 11:26:10 AM
I don't know with others, but I don't want to wait for a long time to receive my money, and I am sure that most people will do the same as me. We should move to the casino which doesn't delay the payments for days, and I am sure that there are much more gambling sites which could provide a fast payment especially if that casino can use crypto which could send the transaction in less than an hour.
You are not alone mate. Nobody wants to wait. So many of us gamblers already ported to sites that offer quick payment. I don’t think there is any of my friends who we both gamble that is still with any site that delays, I feel whatever that involves money should be treated as urgent.

There are a lot of sites that offers instant payment these days, especially reputable websites. They know that instant payment is one of the things players now consider in choosing a site to gamble, so they have all made this option available. Kudos to stakes, com. They have been doing a great job by paying me instantly whenever I play on their site.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETHEREUM GOING MASSIVE ?! -Time to buy now on: May 10, 2019, 10:53:19 AM
ETH did drive a mini rise a couple of days ago, but now it's all about BTC again. It is usually the case that BTC leads a market recovery, with alts following behind. I do think ETH is great, but it doesn't have the market dominance that BTC does, and although ETH does have the strength to pull the whole market upwards, this happens rarely.
Well, they cannot equally have the same market dominance, one must definitely top another, the same way Bitcoin is g=having dominance over ethereum and other coins in the market is the same way ethereum is having dominance over other altcoins in the market.

With ethereum performance and team, I see it continue is its dominated space for a very long time, so investment in ethereum is one of the safest investment to ever make as it has a very reliable and impressive future through its strong competitive product, strategy and communities, despite all the news about Binance chain, ethereum keeps soaring higher than ever.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STEEM will rise again on: May 10, 2019, 10:21:33 AM
Steem's in the lower $0.40 regions now, good moment to buy some.

It's like nobody's talking about it anymore, like non existent in the CMC

Still, the platform is growing and growing, lots of users and content

Time to get some, anyone with me ?

well, now the price of steem is about $0.3 and this is a better price to buy steem in my opinion,
steem stand at the TOP 100 coins in coinmarketcap,, this mean steem is a solid project my friend
i'm sure when the bullish trend show up, the price could growing hard  Wink
Steem is indeed a very great project that I believe will really stand out tough when the time comes, and very soon as they keep developing and we keep approaching the bull run, any coin that out of thousands of coins in the market with all the competitions still manage to get to top 100 will really have a promising future for its investors.

I have some steem coins already and I am fully waiting for the time when the product will speak for it after overcoming all the challenges that is pulling them a little bit backward in this bear market, now that the bear market is finally getting over, this would be the time for most altcoins including steem to start performing.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto is so great on: May 10, 2019, 09:42:51 AM
A really great man who inscribed himself in the history of the world. It is a pity that he did not show himself to the world, I would like to see him.
Why are you pitying for him, is he dead for us to be pitying him, and I am sure he is not complaining of not getting the opportunity not to show himself to the world, he has all the chance, he just chose to not disclose his identity for some certain reasons.

Probably if he has shown himself to the world, they might probably have even corrupted him by now into showing them his source code, which they can hijack and take advantage of to destroy the blockchain system. It is better the way he is silent and see how things unfold itself through the system he has created, I am certain he will not forever be in hiding once the system has been fully adopted and recognized even by the government.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WeChat bans crypto transactions in its payment channels on: May 10, 2019, 05:31:23 AM
China is doing all the possibilities to create one more huge dump and buy cheap coins and sell it for huge . Last time exchange ban and other events we seen . After crypto price how it increase we witnessed.
Chinas impact on the market is too less already. Such news dont shock the markets anymore, they wont trigger massive sells. Additionally, such news only affect the chinese market which is in general shrinking due to the 2017s bans etc.
I really don’t know what china always feel like, they should keep their system to themselves, at least we have got other alternatives too, there was a time I heard that they even banned their citizens from using what Sapp which was true, because I have some contacts over there that do send me some products, I couldn’t get through to them till they told me china banned them from using whatsapp, we had to go over to we chat, now they are coming up with what would eventually make some people abandon we chat for other projects that would give them freedom or run on a decentralized social media system.
72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can I spend the daily expense by playing gambling? on: May 09, 2019, 10:31:12 AM
It will be difficult for us to spend our daily expenses by just playing gambling because not every time we have the chance to win in gambling, that is why gambling is not a good way for earning profit. I think the only people who have the chance to earn huge profit and spend their daily expenses our dealers and owner of a certain casino because all of our losses will be their money. It is the reason why i do not gamble for profit because i know i have the less chance to earn huge amount of profit in gambling, that is why i only gamble for leisure time and entertainment where i always play in my favorite bitcoin casino that has a lot of casino games like poker, blackjack, baccarat, roulette and video slots, and it also offers great bonuses that attract a lot of new players.

Actually, it is really impossible way for every good gambler, and sensible gambler never want to use his daily expenses in gambling, if he has a family and kids.
But i have seen an addicted gambler, who use his all expenses by playing gambling. So in this wise, it is possible that an addicted gambler he can do it, because he doesn't care about his family and also himself.

For me, if I had a good financial capability maybe I would rather enjoy and spent my entire money on gambling. It always depends on a case to case basis, when I find it promising to play for lucky betting games. I won't risk my money on that crap and low winning chance gambling games. Definitely, enjoying you money at your own preference could provide you satisfaction on every aspect as well as gambling is concerned.  No just an addicted one could do it, but also for those who are expecting more fun much better than basic happiness.
I think only people who will enjoy spending his entire money on gambling are those people who are rich because they are capable to do the things that they wanted to do with their money and they don't bother if they lose a huge amount of money in gambling, that is why they don't need to play gambling in a bitcoin casino for them to spend their daily expenses.
Whether rich or poor, no one is supposed to waste money and spending extravagantly on gambling is a waste. The best way to play is on moderation and spends wisely. There are so many people in need we can help with money, not putting excess money on gambling.

No one can spend daily expenses from gambling, not with how uncertain and unpredictable the game can be, its not possible at all. A game where one can win today and loose again for the next 5days is not dependable at all and cannot be considered as job that a player can spend daily expenses.   Get a good job if you are in need of a place to get money for your daily need because gambling is definitely not one of those.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: would you invest in IEO instead of ICO projects? on: May 09, 2019, 09:42:57 AM
IEOs are now trending. Majority are abandoning ICOs for IEO project. is really worth it, are you also going to abandon ICO for IEO?
We should not always see ICO as something that is different from IEO; they are the same thing, same developers, and same investors. The difference is just that there is a third party involvements and different means of campaigning.

The reason why we use to see a lot of people shout about IEO is just because those projects gets sold out easily and not on all exchanges, only on Binance that we usually see 100% achievement, and why? With the trust people have built in Binance, coupled with the large user database that they have, they just serve as medium of advertising to the public easily, so hunter do not need to work for IEO developers for people to see the project and participate.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you interested in knowing the real Satoshi? on: May 09, 2019, 08:33:14 AM
Whos could he be? There is an interesting countdown going on the moment at a website. Is it a marketing stunt? Or would they unveil the real Satoshi? In my opinion, it is more like gaining some marketing popularity as their Twitter account has grown up quite massively.
Of what benefit will it really be to us if we know satoshi or meet him in person, I prefer he remains hidden and gain more respect than to show his face only to get into trouble. He has already created a system for us all to manage and use, the satoshi is that payment system that he wants us all to embrace and use to free ourselves from these control bondage financial institutions has put us all in.

It is only when satoshi has successfully achieved 100% usage of cryptocurrency that I would like him to come out for his honorable award, but before then, he should remain silence for the market to continue to grow.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's time to buy altcoins on: May 09, 2019, 07:52:58 AM
I think that it will be useful for a beginner to first rely on the signals of experienced traders, because the cryptocurrency market is really going through a cryptospring. I advise everyone to start trading to get a profit, and those who are afraid and not confident in their abilities recommend HODL.
Why do they have to rely on signals when they can make their signals themselves by simply learning first before entering into the trade, trade is good but it is not something that they rush into without thoroughly understanding it.

most people who are holders now and has never picked interest cannot suddenly just wake up, decide to trade, rely on expert signals and win, no matter how perfect or accurate the signals is, they will still lose because they have no knowledge of it, and I don’t think there is any way someone can learn trading without learning strategy to making accurate signals too.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance hacked. How can this affect altcoin market? on: May 09, 2019, 07:17:35 AM
It is really a very sad news and I was devastated after I saw this, now these  FUD carriers that has long been awaiting Binance downfall will have the audacity to open their mouth now and say something terrible, I honestly don’t know how Binance could give chance to such disappointing event.

I just hope that people will not respond negatively to this news, most especially those that has trusted them so much to the extent of saving their investment on their wallet. Well, I believe that they have got it under control and people should not panic and rush into removing all their coins or changing it back to Fiat.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Funds are no more #SAFU! Binance lied? on: May 09, 2019, 06:42:05 AM
Hi,
Binance was hacked for the first time few hours ago.
At first they tweeted this post:

Only maintenance? Funds are SAFU?

After that they explained what happened:

What does it mean for us?
1. The biggest and most trusted exchange was hacked - funds are not safe when you hold them on CEX - finally confirmed by the biggest one.
2. Binance lied and maybe this is not for the first time? Is it really good exchange as we think?
3. Bull market confirmed? Bitcoin price wasn´t affected by this, that doesn´t make any sense, since it is one of the biggest negative news this year! (the view of the centralized exchanges will change completely).
Wow, this is coming too early than I thought, I was just having discussion with a friend recently about the security challenge we are being faced with in the crypto world and we talked about Binance as probably being the safest for now, but someone made us understand that because it is Binance doesn’t mean they are perfect and doesn’t have their own lapses too.

If an hacker can successfully hack a whole US account to steal fund, then what can’t they do, everything that has to do with this security being mentioned is about coding, and coding level has degree too, these hackers are great software engineers and there is no company they cannot hack once they see a little lapses, but I am sure this will be the last of them, because Binance would have seen their mistake and amending it immediately, that is why they could probably assure other wallet holders of a secured wallet.
78  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will we see another Bitcoin 4 week boom such as in 2017? on: May 09, 2019, 06:04:45 AM
I don't think there is going to be any bull run in the shortest possible time so it would not be advisable to really wait on it. Just ride with the market as it grows and make moderates profits out of the volatility that comes every now and then. i mean the pumps and dumps.
Well for me, I don’t see Bull run, all I see is a slow walk of bitcoin to its ATH, the time of speedy increase in price is long gone, the other one happened because that was the first of its kind and the first time every one of us will see that, which we contributed in the increase because of the way we FOMO.

Right now, we can see how people don’t respond to FOMO every time the bulls tried charging, the same type of spike that happened on the 1st of April this year is very similar to the one that happened when BTC increased to about $7k in the last spike before the bull started from there and people responded to its FOMO, but we can see now that not many people responded to this one because they would rather take their time now to be investing through proper analysis.
79  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin on its way to $20,000? on: May 09, 2019, 05:23:05 AM
Well, I will say Bitcoin is on it way to $20,000 and could even move than the value mentioned above which I believe will take time before its will get to such hight again.
There is no specific time that we can say bitcoin will cross over to that value, environmental fundamentals are what we need to make the price of bitcoin hit that and if we are not seeing that yet, then it may take time for bitcoin to really reach that value.

It now depends on the level of our patient too, because that will determine how much bitcoin will struggle to climb that hill, because there has been so many times bitcoin tried climbing the hill but the Bulls keeps bringing it down while bitcoin struggles to charge up. The lower our dumping, the faster bitcoin will quickly achieve this.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You don't have to mine Crypto to Earn Crypto - Masternodes [MN] on: May 08, 2019, 10:21:51 AM
Well is a way to earn some crypto, but not all coins with masternodes doing well and also to run a Dash masternode which can bring a profit on long run cost a lot, but on bull run the coins with masternode doing well, at least that happen on last bull run.
It would have actually been a very good way to earn some extra cash, although the profit on masternode is quite very small compared to one miners get in the bull run market, masternode is really not for everyone, the last masternode calculation that I did when I picked interest really discouraged me, I think one would need about $300,000 to set it up, I mean DASH masternode.

$300,000 is more than enough for me to invest in bitcoin and get a very profitable income, with $300k; I will be having about 50 BTC, imagine that each of them becomes $15k per one during the bull, would I not have gotten $750k in return? I bet masternode cannot even give me this in 10 years.
