61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think is the best form to gift BTC? on: November 23, 2013, 04:27:46 PM
As the holiday season is approaching I was wondering what the best bitcoin gift would be. They all have pros and cons like the security of generating your own keys. I'm sure that we, as bitcoiners, would rather have the paper wallet, but is my little sister really going to be impressed with a slip of paper versus a shiny silver coin?

Firstly, how old is your sister?

She's a sophomore at university this year.

She's Jinyoung Lee Englund - Director of Public Affairs at Bitcoin Foundation

She's actually tweetting live from there:

https://twitter.com/jinyoungenglund

Thanks for this. I wish she was speaking today.

I want to throw out something a little different I have been enjoying lately.

A comedy about a group of friends going to a school in a satanic town on the search for an evil book. It's not an incredible show, but it is very charming and dark. Similar to the Weird Science series but with more metal, dick jokes, and cursing. It's on (american) Netflix.
72  Economy / Goods / Rane SL1 DVS (DJ equipment) on: November 06, 2013, 07:10:21 PM
This is all the stuff from my older DJ setup. If anyone is interested I can grab better photos.

This includes 4 timecontrol vinyls, the SL1, and a usb cord to run it, the software is available on Serato's site for free as long as you own this hardware, no weird serial codes or anything like that to transfer. I bought the unit used and has worked perfectly for over a year of playing. Only left the house once and I made sure to keep an eye on my equipment so nothing happened to it.

I have the original box that I would like to include I just need to remember where I stored it.

Looking for $250 worth of BTC shipped to the lower 48. I am also open to almost all crypto coin so feel free to PM me.

I really like the idea of holding a backup private key for someone. Takes some of the burden off of the receiver knowing there is another way to retrieve the funds.

Plus popping a paper wallet is less costly than popping a Casascius. We are, after all, gifting the BTC primarily.

Coins are doing much better than I thought they would.
