Well I am not young anymore but surely any money my parents gave me for my daily spendings in high school and university I spent 70% of them in gambling through different casino. Personally I don't think it's an exit scam rather a change of address. FBI and NSA are after them so a bit of mixing is always needed in the dark net. They have been down before 2-3 days or even more than 1 week, but history has shown they have always been back online.
