61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 23, 2024, 09:23:38 AM
Have you guys read a rumor about Greg Slaughter signing with Ginebra again? I just saw a post on Facebook about this but could not confirm if that was really true, as there hasn't been an article online that gives more details about this. I was just thinking, if he will sign with Ginebra again, that would make this team a good contender in the All-Filipino Cup. JMF and Greg Slaughter are a good match, and every time they play against each other, it is always a very competitive match individually.

Maybe it's not a rumor but just a created story by the author to whom where you read it. PBA rumors, if somehow close to being true, especially involving famous players like Greg Slaughter, will be spread quickly and more famous sports analyst will share their thoughts about it. Greg is currently playing @ Japan B-League for 1 season and his basketball future is still unknown after he finished that contract.

I'm not even sure if Greg is performing well in his Japan B-league career. But for sure, against pure locals in PBA All-Filipino Cup, he's still a big wall that needed to be breached behind the rim. Ginebra though is playing small ball lineup in the past conferences.
62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 23, 2024, 08:51:16 AM
Luka and Booker are creating another interesting rivalry. Both of their teams are also tied 6th place in the west. Dallas seems to be back as a serious contender in the top ranking since they're now 7-0 after the return of Kyrie.

The rivalry is already over between them. It's already concluded. Booker is nothing against Luka, my apology to those Booker fans here.

A rivalry is supposed to be equal and match but there are lots of times already where Luka eats Booker alive. That's not a rivalry anymore if the other party can't even bounce back and regain dominance over the other party. Regardless of who's their teammates in the Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns since their first rivalry started, it's already clear that LUKA > BOOKER. No hate.

63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stick to some Casinos or do you try out new ones? on: February 22, 2024, 09:00:46 PM
Your friend is missing a point that regardless if he tries new casinos or not but on the other hand, still keeps on using the site casino he's currently playing, there will be no big changes in how he spends his money in gambling. The deposit continues, the playing continues, and the gambling continues.

I'm trying new gambling sites if I see some interesting things to check out there, especially for new users.

But before making a deposit, I make sure that somehow, that new gambling site shows some good characteristics of an honest site.
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The person who can’t control emotions in gambling will never earn money from it on: February 22, 2024, 08:41:53 PM
The gamblers with more positive emotions are able to win more in the long run in the gambling site.

If things are that easy, we all making money by now in gambling, but it's not. Smiley

That statement of yours is totally useless in luck-based gambling games like slots. Even with how positive you are while playing those luck games, it won't have any effect on your winning rate in the long run. How it can affect technically? The role of controlling emotions while playing luck-based games is to manage properly the bankroll to last in the long run while waiting for huge multipliers to come down. Without managing emotions, while playing pure-luck-based games, it will result in aggressive bets that will lead to quick bankroll wreckage.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you won a bet with your last cash? on: February 22, 2024, 08:04:34 PM
Luck is not something that comes all the time and that's what makes it special when it comes to you while you are gambling, some people cheat when they gamble and they said is luck which are all lies but inside them they already know that it want luck but cheating.
However I was lucky to win a bet with my last stake some days ago and I am happy for that, that's why I have to bring it here let's discuss about it, whether you have also win some amount of money with your last stake. I went to a betting shop around my locality then I bet with $10 and lose all of them so I was holding  up to $1 separately for transporting my self back to my residence, but funny how I staked with my transport money and won.
Although, I had more money on  my account that I can use for transporting my self back to my house if incase I lost the physical cash, that was why I wasn't afraid to stake with it.

I think most gamblers have that kind of experience. I personally feel that experience lots of times already. Not in physical betting shops but in online gambling through playing slots. There are lots of times when my luck will just come out of nowhere on the last amount standing in my already wrecked bankroll and the game will turn upside down in favor of me.

Sometimes, I'm still able to cash out the winnings I made from bouncing back but unfortunately, I will admit that most of the time, I got carried away to push more thinking my luck would associate me in the long run. In the end, still left my bankroll wrecked most of the time. I just extended my bankroll's life on that session but the result is still losing.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A famous influencer lost more than $4000 in just 2 minutes. (2) on: February 22, 2024, 07:32:36 PM
For such a famous influencer, losing $4,000 in just 2 minutes is not a big deal. They have lots!

Aside from that, they are earning way money more than that amount behind the scenes. Smiley

Try also to check a big and large gambling site where they are showing continuous logs and records of players' WIN and LOSS bets. You will see bets there more than over $10,000, $20,000, or even more, IN JUST 1 SINGLE BET. Can you imagine what kind of guts they have risking a big amount in just a matter of seconds? Cheesy
67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling between the past and nowadays on: February 22, 2024, 07:00:34 PM
Maybe let's not talk about the factors since it's like questioning how we changed from using postal letters as a mode of communication for our distant loved ones to using social media platforms nowadays. Everything is enhancing and that's already expected since people are developing too.

I don't think there's further discussion needed to discuss the factors as there's always a new trend and innovation. What we should talk about is how the gambling experience from before to current, especially from those who experienced gambling when the internet was not being used much.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: February 22, 2024, 06:39:44 PM
The thing that caught my attention is that the casino never loses. The money that you win is not the property of the casino, but of another player. The casino is in the process of recycling the money that the players have invested. There is always a winner and a loser, and when you bet with an amount of money, you bet against the money of all the other players. If you win, they will pay you from their money, and if someone else wins, they will pay himBTCBTC from your money.

So the casino remains the biggest beneficiary, right?

In every business, in any industry, isn't it common that there's a flow of money in circulation? These businesses will able to operate for a long and cover all the operational costs and spending if there's a proper flow of money which will come to their customers.

There should be no question on who's winning between casinos and gamblers. It's already known from the start.

We are talking about basic Economics here.
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble with what you can afford to lose can actually make a good investment on: February 22, 2024, 06:18:51 PM
I think we should not compare the purpose of why people risk their money in gambling, instead of just putting it on investment. There are several reasons to be looked at and not all gamblers have the capability to start a business or investment that requires a large capital, if not, should be a decent amount.

In gambling, these people can start playing with their luck and hope for good fortune with just a small amount. If we sum up all their losses, they will have already good capital to start the business they want but that's not possible to own that total amount beforehand.

Maybe we should encourage gamblers to consider doing business without mentioning or involving how much they already lose overall in playing gambling. Encourage them to put money on investment showing the advantages and benefits of it in the long run without comparing it to gambling.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a social or casual good guesser make better gambling prediction carrier? on: February 16, 2024, 11:59:55 PM
You can't compare that funny game you played with your friend and the real gambling. Gambling is not a game of guesses. Try to involve money in that game you have played and let's see if the outcome will be the same. No gambler in the world keeps up with their gambling career by having just an excellent guessing skill.

Also to add to that, there are called "odds" in gambling. It's easy to make just guesses with Favorites but what about the odds?

71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: February 16, 2024, 11:59:33 PM
There are lots of situations in gambling where our patience will be tested. If we allow ourselves to fall on a quick decision, it will cost us a huge loss. On the other hand, if slowly but surely, it will be a smooth way and we can manage it.

But don't blame yourself for that mistake. It's a test. It's part of the experience. At least next time, we should know what to do.
72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your state on mind if your son stole your money to gamble? on: February 16, 2024, 11:59:06 PM
Using money that is not ours is considered the worst attitude. In a state like that where our kid uses our money secretly for the sake of gambling, is the scenario if the kid won instead of big money a proper argument? If that's the case then we should just tolerate everything since after all, there's a chance of winning big even. Sounds stupid right?

Regardless of the reason, stealing is stealing. The kid in that story highly needs proper and serious guidance.
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another question? Tell me your average amount per bet and your monthly income? on: February 16, 2024, 11:58:15 PM
Can we determine the aggressiveness in gambling just by knowing how much average amount we use in gambling? What if $300, $500, and so on?

If we can state an average amount therefore we are not aggressive already since we were able to keep up with that "average". Regardless of the monthly income, if a gambler just plays around the average amount, then they are not aggressive much. But to keep up with the topic, I'm just a minimum wager in our country. There's no average amount I can tell that I used in gambling since it depends on how much left to my salary that I can use for not priority things.
74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Anyone +18 Play Gamble? on: February 14, 2024, 07:27:56 PM
Does gambling needs experience or anyone +18, even the inexperienced one can also play? Though playing gamble has a limited age grade or age bracket and the accepted is from  +18 years and there are some casinos hall at the door post, it is written clearly that it is only people of +18 can play. But what about the inexperienced ones, are they allowed to play gamble as well? Or they are also restricted to have the fun? In my observation, there are two elements to participate in gambling. One, you must above 18 years in my country and secondly you must have an experience to play, so I want to know if inexperienced people can also play gamble.

Legally speaking, in most countries, 18 years of age is the considered legal age to be involved in gambling. But obviously, even a 10-year-old kid can do gambling hiding in the shadows of legality. I don't know why you end up with the idea that inexperienced gamblers are restricted to having fun just because they don't know how to gamble. Isn't that right?

Gambling doesn't need a full-time study to learn with. It can even learn by only using common sense. Inexperienced gamblers are called newbies. Do you mean in your country, inexperienced gamblers are not allowed to gamble? Then how can they gain experience?
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causes loss on: February 14, 2024, 07:11:28 PM
I had a friend in the gambling circle,he was gambler addicted person over a year.I had advised him many times, but he is not ready to accept my advice in the gambling.Apart from gambling,my friend accept my advice without any hesitation. When I had a time on weekend,I get a chance to meet him in personal.I had some question about his gambling addiction, but the sad part is he is not accepted his gambling addiction towards the gambling site.

He said that he had nearly 64k dollars as a loss in the gambling site.In order to recover that 64k dollars,he keeps on betting from all his economic resources.I had advice him to use only 20 percentage of salary to get away from entire gambling loss. But he is now repeating the same 100 percentage of income from weekly, biweekly and monthly. So he was in the big loan problem.Still he is arranging funds from loan to play gambling, because he think that the recovery was possible at the place where he lost his money. What will be your suggestion for my friend to recover from the gambling addiction.

It's hard to stop a gambler who is now at the purpose of getting back ALL LOSSES.

No responsible gambler will think of recovering the total losses made IN THE WHOLE TIME DOING GAMBLING. It's impossible even for billionaires.

Try to give him advice on setting up a business instead and help him. Form a partnership with him. With the losses your friend made in gambling, that's already good capital to start a semi-big business and can cover other business-related spending throughout the process.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why in some religion gambling is forbidden? on: February 14, 2024, 06:25:07 PM
But here's the fact, in today's generation, even gambling is not allowed in some religions, it is mostly not followed by most people under a religion that prohibits gambling, especially those who always interact with people who can freely gamble and take gambling to the entertainment level.

It means the view toward gambling in general at those religions that prohibit gambling is currently taken lightly. Not unless the country itself bans gambling, that's where we can only see an environment with no gambling activities around regardless of religion.
77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess Gambling on: February 07, 2024, 11:56:02 PM
I have been here in this forum for a long time and I have an on and off relationship with gambling and I don't know if it's because I don't search so much or there's really no one that's doing this but is there any website that offers chess matches where the winner will win the pot money that was pooled together by the two players fighting? I assume there's none of that yet but imagine the stuff that could happen when this is real, Carlsen playing for a 2 million dollars pot money against Nakamura, FIDE and WCF would definitely be mad about this if this is real.

I think you will have a hard time looking for such a website. The reason might be, that it's hard to deal with someone here since we don't know if we are playing against a real human or a bot. A talented player might also become a suspect for a robot even if they are not.

Maybe the best thing to do is, to consider creating a thread and set up a tournament here. Pot money should be handled by a reputable forum member to ensure that the winner will be paid fair and square. Try to check if there will be interested participants that will join.
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: February 07, 2024, 11:46:36 PM
There was a time before that I managed to take home a good win out of desperation because I had a financial problem. I became overconfident that I would be able to achieve it and after several hours of playing, I managed a good win and solved my financial problem.

That was a lucky day for me so I can say that it was not a mistake when I turned into being overconfident that time. My further gambling session though didn't end well that's why currently, it might be a mistake now to consider being overconfident in gambling. Cheesy
79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 07, 2024, 11:38:07 PM
No matter how deep you are in gambling never you sell a property because you will surely regret it when it doesn't work the way you expected.

Have you ever sold a property to play gamble and afterwards finds it difficult to replace that same property again?

Even how deep am I in gambling, it's hard for me to imagine that I will sell my property just to gamble. I will sell my property because of an important reason, emergency, or urgent need of money but not for gambling. Won't do such a thing for a crazy idea. Never. I don't understand why there are people who have the guts to do that thing.

It's not wrong to spend money on gambling but be responsible enough to know the consequences.
80  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are people still interested in bankroll investment ? on: February 02, 2024, 11:55:39 PM
The question is in the subject  Kiss I’m genuinely just curious if people are still interested in this because I believe it’s a good way to “HODL” your bitcoin.

Most sites that offer a bankroll investment feature don't use BITCOIN as a primary token. Usually, it's an altcoin or native token of the platform.

Generally, you will purchase the site's token and that will be used as an investment.

The site's reputation is a big factor here. Always remember one of the famous lines in crypto, NOT YOUR KEYS, NOT YOUR COINS.
