61  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - Verified rolls, up to 65,000x winning on: May 10, 2012, 08:17:06 PM
It doesn't work as quickly as it used to.

I think the service had suffered from double speeding cheating and so now it only rolls the dice after the incoming bet is mined in at least one block.

Well, still better than nothing... Smiley

No, when I said something about this "Double Spending" I was referring to their service!

My transaction was way back (like 30 blocks ago) and my payment is still waiting to be sent, now it's like 5 hours later and it still says:

Warning! this transaction is a double spend. You should be extremely careful when trusting any transactions to/from this sender.

Unconfirmed - Double Spend

On blockchain.info, so does this mean that Satoshidice is trying to cheat me?? I'm not trying to cheat them - nor do I even know how! I just want my btc that I won fair and square...!

I have seen some pretty long delays but I'm waiting on a few transactions today that have been submitted and waiting for confirmation for over an hour...

What I'm wondering is why blockchain.info is warning me of a "Double Spend" Attack!?

"Warning! this transaction is a double spend. You should be extremely careful when trusting any transactions to/from this sender."

What is this, and will I ever receive these transactions?

wow you did, are you sure? that's really unlucky, I just ran a simulation, out of 10M rounds, it happened once....

Whew!

Glad to hear, I've been waiting quite a while now to find out if I won my last wager or not! Hoping I get my other wins back soon too...

Lost (11) 48000 bets in a row and finally won 2 at like 20BTC or so! ...been so long now I can't remember LOL

How much longer are you thinking? The site (and payouts) have been down for a couple of hours now  Shocked

Sorry, I think I did win 1 small bet in between somewhere - I did lose like 11 out of 12 bets at 48000 though, then finally won a few after all that. Almost couldn't believe it and almost everytime it was just barely over 48000 Sad

Can't really complain though - it was the exact opposite yesterday, I couldn't lose! Just trying to get back to where I was and chasing my bets (damn Martingale... LOL)

Just curious, the past few days I have gotten (and seen) my bets within seconds, maybe a min or two tops - since last night it is taking more like 30-60 min between bets now. My last bet was sent 54 minutes ago and has 6 confirmations already...

Is this just because the site is so busy? Or will this speed up again in the future? It's agonizing waiting in the mean time (especially with larger 10-20BTC bets)!!

Anyways, I love the site! I'm hooked! Just wish it were a bit faster is all Wink

I'll give one a try, but how do you know which tickets are sold?

Or has no one purchased any tickets yet, in any of the rounds?
66  Economy / Gambling / Re: BTCBlink.com - Yet another bitcoin game. on: April 23, 2012, 11:02:31 AM
I've got any idea! Smiley

Please bare with me here, I'm not a programmer so I don't understand all of this completely but...

You could use a RNG similar to what they are using at bitjack21.com, in there case (a game of blackjack) the PLAYER inputs a 128-bit number, the server uses a hardware RNG and creates a 2nd 128-bit string, and then uses another sequence to shuffle the cards.

So essentially, the player's 128-bit string are the actual cards being used in the deck - combined with the server's 128-bit string and shuffler. Therefore the number the player inputs actually determines the order of the deck! The reason you can't cheat is because their server creates the shuffle order using a hardware RNG.

So, to keep things fair you could employ a similar script where each player (or ticket purchased) could input their OWN string of numbers - then after all 10 tickets have been purchased your server would implement some type of formula based on each players string to create the number 1-10. You could even use the same analogy of blackjack where you are essentially picking a "card" A-2-3-4...10 which therefore determines the winner.

Again, I'm not a programmer and not too sure how hard this would be to implement. However, after each round you could display each player's string and therefore allow the players to verify that their string was used to choose the winner...

Hope that helps! Let me know what you think!

Love the site, always a fun and fair game!

Not sure if it's possible, but a few things I'd really like to see...

Any chance you'd ever consider adding multi-player table tournaments? Say 6 people on a table, possibly multiple tables and rounds if there are enough players!?

I'd love to see a surrender option... Any chance of seeing that option? (I can hope)

House rules where the dealer hits a soft 17? I play at my local casino almost every night and it's weird seeing the dealer staying on a soft 17! Not sure I've ever seen this at any other casino...

Also, how about being able to choose multi-denom table options? I think I remember reading somewhere that you need to keep a 1:32 or so ratio (2-50, 3-75, 4-100, etc) but would you be able to offer the player the option to "sit at" a higher (or lower) stakes table?

A referral program would be really cool too! I've sent a number of people from sealswithclubs (BTC Poker Site) to bitjack21. Either a payout per player, or small portion of their losses would be cool!

Anyways, thanks for the kickass site and all your help/support! I'm fairly new but I can tell you're a standup guy as you've always gotten back to me with help right away!

Sounds like you're running on your CPU (which is recognized as an OpenCL device)

You may want to try out the newest version of Phoenix (ver 2) which will has the option to automatically disable CPU mining - I believe it is already disabled by default...

If you need help setting up the config file send me a message and I'll write one for you, I'll just need a list of CPU(s) and GPU(s) in your system.

Hello,

Hoping you can help in this thread!

I don't have a business name yet, but I'm working on starting a new pool with new anti-hopping measures and a bonus payout system not used by any other pools yet! I am also planning a discounted marketplace to buy mining equipment for pool members that will be added down the road...

Hope you can get me out of noob status  Wink

Thanks!

I've been mining for a long time now, have 4 rigs pushing 3.4Gh/s and have helped countless others get started, troubleshoot, and increase hashrate...

Currently working on my own new pool with pushpool, custom front-end, anti-hopping measures, and a new bonus payout system not seen yet (more to come on this!)

I'm not just another noob and need out of this thread so I can get in contact with some other members! Please...
