Why sell the non-CT hardware?
62  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on[Havelock] on: February 07, 2014, 09:45:42 PM
We received a dividend on 01/20, and on 02/03, but not the one on 01/27...

Thanks for the updates in this thread Giancarlo.

I still have a withdrawal pending for 12 hours (sent you PM with username, just in case it fell through the crack), I sent a support email, we'll see when it goes through.

EDIT : I had to convert LTC into BTC at a cheaper rate I could get at BTC-e, but the BTC withdrawal worked.  Just losing a few LTCs on the change...

I too am going on a 12 hour pending withdrawal.

If you didn't have to sign an NDA, why did Garr have to sign an NDA for this "first round" of orders?

I got an e-mail from Ravi, my first units will be going out this week.  Grin

Did you have to sign an NDA as well?

What is the status on withdrawals? Mine has gone from pending approval, to processing, back to pending approval the last few hours.

withdrawals are being made, but it takes time as we are replenishing the hot wallet.

Thanks and have a good day

(The following is not related to Cognitive)

alincoln, I do realize that that would be the best case scenario for you. However, please acknowledge that I am taking a heavy loss on this one, so please accept a full refund of your initial investment Plus all dividends up to the last one that was paid. With that case, you've still made more money than just holding coins, which is pretty damn good.

I hope you believe this request to be reasonable. It's the best I can do.

I accept your offer. However if you are leaving half to be paid later as you said, I expect as a minimum that you schedule monthly payments according to your personal mining revenue and finish paying in 2014.

I own 7712 bonds and my withdrawal address is 1Bqg9YKE25U1BRCRm3pJiGsiFE5vvgirtB

Please confirm and post here.

Actually Kakobrekla is terribly wrong. Half repayment (BTC38.56) will be sent sent to alincoln today, 1Bqg9YKE25U1BRCRm3pJiGsiFE5vvgirtB txid:

and the 1/27 dividend

FYI as far as gpu pools goes, my buddy points his gpu rigs to https://hashco.ws/

I had never heard of them before, but he says they do the same and charge the same as middlecoin.

Who's developing these "live charts"?
71  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on[Havelock] on: January 29, 2014, 06:54:10 PM
I've heard negative things about middlecoin with regards to lots of downtime or errors. I believe what it came down to was that the service was an experiment that did not scale well with its popularity. Not sure how true or accurate that is today, but beware.
72  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on [BTC-TC] on: January 29, 2014, 04:23:13 AM
I just emailed a number of asset platforms, asking them to convince us to use theirs. Right now I think Havelock is one of the better options.

Yesterday, I placed an order for Cognitive from CoinTerra! I negotiated a discounted rate so we were able to purchase 14 2th/s boxes for a total hashrate of 28th/s, to be delivered in January!

For added protection, I signed a contract with CoinTerra that includes: "If delivery is beyond January 31 2014, for every thirty days late CoinTerra is in delivery of hardware, CoinTerra shall deliver an additional 30% of the total
hashpower agreed to in this contract. if no hardware is delivered within 180 days after January
31, a full refund shall be made to Cognitive."

I can't wait to see where share price goes once we list on a new exchange, and as we get closer and closer to delivery Cheesy

I suppose nothing happens between days 2 - 29?

Did it end now?
74  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on[Havelock] on: January 22, 2014, 10:25:19 PM
I'd like to nominate myself as a part- or full-time employee for Cognitive. I'm a burgeoning web developer with some experience building Wordpress sites as well as web applications using Ruby on Rails. I just graduated college, and although I have another freelance project I'm currently working on - I'm actively pursuing either more work or a full-time position. Perhaps I could help organize the website as far as transparency is involved - building something to show inventory, income, and expenses (even if it's just a google doc)?  If there is work to be done with the mining units or Linux system administration perhaps it could be done remotely. I would take payment in Bitcoin and offer a competitive rate.

My personal opinion is that Garrett needs someone who can execute to truly improve his 'PR'. Not just a 'PR' person. Whether that's me or someone else is less important. He is receiving a lot of flak for slipping up on a workload that is similar to a tech startup, but even in that scope Garr as a person doesn't scale. The expectations from many pseudonymous shareholders are for the most part unrealistic in my opinion. That doesn't mean I don't empathize with their frustrations on accountability and so on, which is why I'm posting here.

My LinkedIn profile is http://goo.gl/FTF4J

I do currently hold COG shares, and have had varying quantities for the last 1+ year.

So what you're saying is it would be a bad deal.
76  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on[Havelock] on: January 15, 2014, 11:50:20 PM
If we can, we should add on to the Jan 30 cointerra order.

Buy it now for 2.99 BTC and know that you will be paying for Daisy's tumor biopsy/removal:
78  Economy / Auctions / Re: Casascius 2011 1 BTC Brass Coin S1 NG on: January 06, 2014, 10:34:39 PM
Oh fine.

New auction.

Starting Bid: 2.5 BTC
Bid Increment: 0.05 BTC

Each bid extends the auction by 3 minutes.

Auction ends January 10, 2014 @ 00:00:00 GMT (7 PM EST I believe?)
79  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on[Havelock] on: January 02, 2014, 02:13:07 AM
it's not paying anything back, it's just goodwill
80  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on[Havelock] on: January 01, 2014, 11:44:29 PM
Instead of direct compensation, how about we just don't add to the growth fund for a month and instead divert all coin to dividends for that time?
