My guess is that they would be bought offline in bulk from someone who has a lot as to not worry about having to pay a premium on an exchange (As they buy up the BTC) and then they would be stored on an address never connected to the internet.

You didn't answer my questions in your reply Tongue

I understand that I didn't make the daily posts, Honestly I was hoping an exception might be made for this round being the first round (For all participants that are in the same position) in order to keep them around and give them motivation to make higher quality posts for a campaign that has done something for them. I of course don't expect this in any way as I realize I've broken the rules, maybe its just wishful thinking but it makes sense to me from a business perspective. Also thought I'd suggest the idea that sporadic posters get a pay cut rather than no pay as some of us are unable to post everyday, this would be a win win for the poster in that they get payed and for you in that you still the advertising (This could have further rules that no single day can have more than 50% of required posts)

Where I stand now will I be given a second chance to stay in this campaign or will I be kicked for not meeting the requirements?

Edit: Don't mean to be over picky but does 125 chars include spaces?
You were answered like when you are not qualified for payout you need not to worry about payout time and escrow.

Owner's decisions will be final about eligibility for payout with exceptions and continuity of enrollment after not meeting rules.

Understood, I was thinking more so that other people could benefit from knowing as well as that I'm interested in knowing for future weeks...
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this true? beginners in gambling are the luckiest? on: October 26, 2016, 10:41:25 AM
I don't think beginners luck is true in that beginners win more when they first start playing but I do think beginners will win more often in tricky situations (Think poker with someone bluffing really well but a noob not realising and calling an all in) because they don't play by in a predictable or standard way.
Gambling is not a matter of luck, beginner or professional, all have same chance to winning and losing. If there are any beginners who wins it is probably one of the attraction for many more in gambling. If you don't know gambling I recommend to never gamble. Save your money to investments, savings or buying bitcoin.

I don't mean that the odds are in their favour, I just meant that because they are unpredictable in how they play they may end up winning more. I'm using poker for example, a complete newbie might get two Aces (The best starting hand) without realising how good this is. Because of this they might continue against an opponent who gets top pair of kings, as the hand progresses the opponent may go all an because of their large winning odds and the passiveness of the noob (Not betting much as they don't know how much to bet) only for the noob to win a bunch of money because they don't know "standard strategy"

This isn't a great example but I hope you can see where I am coming from.
66  Economy / Speculation / Re: Scratch the first year of Bitcoin to save it? on: October 26, 2016, 10:41:17 AM
Don't get me wrong, I love bitcoin dearly. In saying this I don't see bitcoin as the most used cryptocurrency going forward, I think it is more likely a big organization that is Pro-decentralization creates and heavily advertises a worldwide cryptocurrency based on bitcoin with that becoming instantly extremely popular and eventually overtaking it in popularity based on its "Fairer" start etc.

there will never be a "fair" commodity that is scarce as wsell
nothing can stop wealthy millionaires or billionaires buying more than the average joe
and so it would be a waste of time to strip the early whales because there would just be new whales

most of the people who had btc back in 2009 are probably already cashed out all or most of it ,with the exception of
the satoshi coins from that era  that have never moved and might never move at all .........

I agree to an extent. Fair is not the right word for the situation but I will use it anyway as I can't think of a better word. If a new currency came and the wealthy became whales wouldnt this be "Fairer" than the lucky couple of people who stumbled across bitcoin early?

I'd agree with what you are saying if bitcoin popularity encompassed a financial revolution redefining who is rich in the world. I don't see this as happening atleast in the next 5 years meaning to me it IS fair that the rich will have more BTC as that is how our current system works.

Which brings up another subject I’ve neglected  I’ve only used my browser and slushes web page to monitor my s9’s…………….. recommendations?Huh

What kind of monitoring are you talking about?
I'm not familiar with the S9's as a whole but I'm sure you could set up some kind of alerts (Even if its an alert from slush when your miner stops) so that you can leave it knowing its mining unless you get a notification.

68  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Platform To Trade on: October 26, 2016, 10:30:14 AM
I don't really have an opinion on where is best to trade but I do believe obtaining or making a program that you can trade from is advantageous. They often allow you to automatically execute moves and you can trade across multiple sites with ease.

What time (Including timezone) does the first week finish? Also has an escrow been found? I know I personally would be happy for any escrow fee's to come out of my payout in order to have an escrow sooner.
I am afraid that you were already disqualified as you have failed to make enough posts on 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd October.

We have a rule of daily post limit to enforce at least 5 days activity :
Quote
2] Minimum 35 post \125+ characters/post max 7 posts counted a day
For example, if you fail to post for 3 days, in rest of 4 days you may able to make only 28 posts, but a this campaign needs 35 posts to get qualified for a payout.

You didn't answer my questions in your reply Tongue

I understand that I didn't make the daily posts, Honestly I was hoping an exception might be made for this round being the first round (For all participants in the same boat as me that have made enough or more than enough posts and met every other rule) in order to keep them around and give them motivation to make higher quality posts for a campaign that has done something for them. Are they the milestones/goals for gitlbtc? What are the goals for the future? I'm sure its not just me interested in those sorts of stats.
It's definitely nice to see this site moving forward, I'll be playing with my signature payout once it goes through Smiley

Why wasting your time on searching best mining software, best mining pool and so on. I suggest you to use nicehash.

Maybe because it is not too hard to search for the best software/pools and that there is a difference in how they operate etc. Wouldnt you want to make sure you aren't missing out on any BTC you could have earned but either didn't because of the pool or software?
72  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Paypal a scam? on: October 26, 2016, 10:08:42 AM
I don't think PayPal have very good customer service anymore but I do not think they are a scam. I really miss seeing the "Change the world" ambition the old owners used to have, they used to talk about how PayPal is revolutionary in how it can protect poorer users being exploited by their government through inflation and such.
73  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Starting to mine on: October 26, 2016, 10:03:45 AM
Honestly I can't really reccomend mining anymore because as the difficulty increases you start getting less profit, this coupled with technology advancements often means you never make back your investment. If you still want to mine I would reccomend picking an upcoming anticipated miner (If I think back into the past KNC comes to mind) you can then start mining as soon as you get it whilst at the same time putting it up for sale so that you make money from mining and then sell it for cost price before the combined miners effect on difficulty is apparent.

Also yes someone will manage a miner for you, I think its called having your miner hosted.

To answer your questions in order: No miners are not considered hackers in anyway, TRUSTWORTHY pools are not hacked very often and finally yes dodgy pools may steal BTC if you are not careful.
78  Economy / Economics / Re: How would you double $100,000 safely? on: October 26, 2016, 09:49:08 AM
Honestly there is no way to safely invest money if you ask me. You an minimize your risk in many ways but you cant eliminate risk. Personally I'd put the money into some personal business ideas of mine, this puts a lot of the risk into my hands.
79  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: is mining still profitable on: October 26, 2016, 09:47:18 AM
thank's for the replies
seems not easy and i should learn and prepare more better than wht i did

any legit site for cloud-mining !

I'd also stick away from cloud-mining if I where you, they just don't remain profitable over time as the difficulty grows, this means you won't make back your money from these sites.
If you do want to get involved in cloud mining I would reccomend buying mining power and only holding it for a week or two before selling so that you get some bitcoin from the mining and hopefully get your investment back when selling.

First of all apologies if I offend anyone with my views, it is not my intent.

I personally believe religion is one of the best "Arguments" (Excuses is a better word) for the universe being. Instead of using only science which currently says the big bang caused things to form without knowing what was before the big bang religion says everything is how it is because of X reason/person who operate on a higher level of being to us.
That being said I believe there is definitely things that humans aren't on a level to understand, think unexplained coincidences or senses that plants have and humans don't, in saying this I don't believe in any god, just that there is 'more' to the universe.

This already proven thanks to science, humans can only hear in a specific frequency range, see in a set light spectrum and only perceive 4 dimensions but we know there is hell of a lot more going on than our senses can detect through radio telescopes, I/R cameras etc.

Thanks for explaining it better Smiley
What that was meant to mean is that in my opinion everyone should be open to the idea of a higher being because of the evidence that there is more to everything than we know.
