65  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone to create/modify software for this forum [3600+ BTC] on: September 10, 2012, 12:08:18 PM
I run several large forum communities and can tell you hands down that there is no need to re-invent the wheel.

I would highly recommend vBulletin 4.x as the forum software, almost all forums that are of any worth run this software.
vBulletin has an easy import function (Impex) which will convert the existing forum into vBulletin. ( I have down this several times and its straight forward. )

99% of what you have mentioned you would like the forum software to do vBulletin can already do and the other things you have mentioned that are not out of the box functionality are easily coded in simple plugins which I can also do.

I would gladly help you with this transition free of charge.

I would also recommend Servint.net as a hosting provider, I have hosted with multiple companies over the years and even own my own rack & since switching to servint have never looked back there support is second to none.

cheers guys, highly appreciated.... makes more sense now!
67  Bitcoin / Hardware / information on technical / hardware side of things. on: September 05, 2012, 01:55:26 PM
I wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction on where I could find information on the technical hardware side of things for both FPGA & ASIC boards.

For example:

How are the hashes measured?

An SHA256 needs 32 bytes in and 32 bytes out so the Butterfly labs system doing 832^6 hashes per second would need ~24^9 bytes in and out every second but it says "easy usb connectivity". USB has a bandwidth of ~60^6 byes/ second so I'm missing something.

Is a hash calculated as one step in the process?

What are these hashes run against? How do you get the data in and out fast enough?

71  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: August 22, 2012, 09:47:28 AM
Hi,
I would like to request access to the rest of the forums.

I have developed payment gateways, secure wallets and escrow systems for my webistes that utilise bitcoins.
As well as currently looking to develop my own ASIC hardware for bitcoin.

I also currently mine for fun Wink
72  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Next best coin to mine after ASIC takes over bitcoin? on: August 22, 2012, 09:46:57 AM
Due to there currently being very little ASIC builds available or being used based on the fact that the current suppliers of them have been slightly over optermistic with there expected delivery times means that its still a waiting game to see what happens.

I know that from personal experience designing & building ASIC hardware can easily take 1 - 2 years depending on its complexity and can cost anywhere from a few hundred thousand to millions of pounds.

So its just a matter of time to see who comes through first.

Thought I would take the time to introduce myself here Wink
Looking to watch the hardware development of bitcoin mining to see how it changes the game!
75  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Businesses and Developers, Let's Get Started! on: August 21, 2012, 04:03:25 PM
I currently work with prototyping and developing hardware boards for a range of peripherals and applications.
I am looking to learn more about the bitcoin mining protocal to hopefully look at developing an ASIC board that is affordable and can compete with other products currently coming to market.
