Any Help here?

Try this

hodlminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://stratum.coinspool.cu.cc:3042 -u use your own address -p x

(use your own address ofcourse)

Yeap not getting any coins for the last 2 days from coinpool. 2 days of mined coins are lost  Undecided Should we stop mining for now ?  Huh

ROIcoin is offline in coinspool 0 workers  Huh

No pool mining anymore

I get this all the time while connecting to http://roi.hopto.org:23110

Yeah for me after running the cluster mining for sometimes it gives that HTTP request and json fail thing. I close the windows and restart mining and everything start working normally but later happens the same thing. Its been happening for the last 1-2 days

I sent coins to deposit address. Should wallet always be opened to get a reward? Or I can close it?

You can close the wallet no problem. Your will keep getting your reward coins don't worry

Yeap the devs are very active and because of that we love this project.

Btw I have one question about the upcoming fork will it fix the term deposit interest rate of the current ones or only the future ones ? or both

@ TheRaster : thank you I have started 2 (cmd) or instances with (4 thread each) let's see how it goes  Smiley

so, should i register to the website?i really don't get it how to start mining it. sorry, i'm just a noobs. can i get some explanation here what to do so i can start mining this coin with my cpu?

already tried from wallet. i don't see anything happened on the software. i found mining in top menu of the software. but i don't see anything happened then. what to do exactly in the software?

solo mining is not recommended you should either go for pool or cluster mining

Cluster down?

Yeap not working for me as well

Update on cluster mining:

After much hard testing (2 Weeks) I can now give you the best way to mine the cluster.

If you mine the cluster the best way is with more ram!!!

So to max block finds more ram is your friend.

Testing was done with:

HP DL580 G7

4 x E7-4850

128GB ram

With all 80 threads active.

The best settings I found to max block finding was 10 threads (around 80-140 hs) 8 instances, So 8 GB ram.

When mining the cluster hash speed is not so important as it is on a pool because its scanning 1 GB Pattern to build the block and because pools pay by hash speed but the cluster pays by block. But you still need abit of speed to find that pattern on the ram. Remember the block time is 2 mins so your rig has 2 mins to find the best pattern. And remember that each pattern (1gb ram instance) is not the same as the other.
On the cluster I found I got more blocks found with around 100 hash per sec on each 1 gb instance.

When making the bat files I added a new address to each one and called it instance 1, instance 2 and so on on the wallet. So I could see what was making the most coin.

So if you have a CPU that gives 400 hs and you have 8gb ram then set up 4 instances to connect to the cluster node.

This is for the cluster only. I have not tested 100% solo on my own wallet.
It will have no benerfit to the pool other than showing the pool has more miners.

Give it a go and see if it works for you Cheesy

Raster.

EDIT:

I would also like to point out that in time mining is going to be hard.

We need to remember that the coin puts out around 720 blocks a day @ a block every 2 mins.

so in time there will be a point where even the cluster will become hard work to mine on and pool will become the only shore way to make coins. So make the most of the low network hash rates.

How to add more ram then ? Currently it uses around (1045MB) out of 16GB in my task manager

Just discovered this and am keen to start mining. Reading through the thread (apologies, I havent read every page) it seems like cluster mining is the way to go at the moment. I have started mining and all seems to be working, but I just have a couple of questions:

1) Is there a way to output your hashrate with roiminer.exe?
2) I want to use 7 threads (So I can still do basic stuff on my pc) but if I set -t any higher than 4 it crashes, and the only alternative I can find so far is to take out -t all together so it uses all 8 threads. Does anyone else have this issue?

Hope someone can point me in the right direction  Smiley

what is your CPU?

For benchmarking
Code:
roiminer.exe --benchmark -q

Let it run for say 5 minutes. Then use a calculator or excel-like software to calculate average Khash/s. Hoping that helped  Smiley

And unless you understand the difference between cluster and pool mining. And for some reason believe that clusterring is your thing. I would personally suggest that you use the pool.
The pool will give you results that are consistent with your hashrate and the network difficulty at your time of mining. Good pooling or maybe good luck Wink

EDIT: Beware though that the pool will not show your results, or grant you any returns, before roughly 18 hours into mining.

I just have an i7 4790k. I might pool mine, havent looked at it here but I pool mine Verium and it put me off (mining fees and withdrawal fees) plus I saw a few people earlier in this thread saying they were getting much better returns cluster mining than they were in the pool. I've been cluster mining for 18 hours+ at the moment though and havent seen any returns; I'll give it another 12 hours or so and if I dont have anything I'll switch to pool mining.

Thanks for pointing me in the direction of the benchmark option, I'll run that once I stop cluster mining, but I'm scared to stop it in case I miss something  Wink

I too have an i7 4790k. I mined on a pool for a month and now I have been doing cluster mining for couple of days and I hit atleast 1 or 2 blocks per day.

One of my term deposit has been showing this - Matured (Warning: this amount is no longer earning interest of any kind)

what do I do now ? How to bring the coins back to my main account so that I can deposit them again

thx

Yeah I hope this coin will do well. After the fork it should be made available to more exchanges for trade and a must entry to coinmarketcap for everyone to see  Smiley

why is the price soo low ?

What are you saying man. Its a brand new coin and in my opinion its doing fine. Just give it a more time it will rise
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ROI] ROI Coin | CPU Only Solo Mining Hybrid | 15% POS | 593% Term Deposit on: December 09, 2017, 07:09:37 PM
Thats right, The only diff with cluster vs solo is you work with others to make the block.

Because of the way it is done if you have a small cpu with low hash you still have a good chance of getting a block in the cluster but if you was just solo mining on the wallet you would not have the same chances to get a block.

Some days are better than others. EG... over the last 6 hours I my self have only got 2 blocks and thats with alot of hash on the cluster. I know my friend who has about 200hs has got more blocks than me today. Its just a case of leave it on and you will earn better over time Cheesy

Better on average? Did someone have make calculation on average POOL VS CLUSTER?

I've mined 2 days on CLUSTER. And got 0.
On POOL I'm getting about 50-60 ROI per day.

I just ran cluster mining for 5+hrs and already got a block 120 roi coins

Hello Raster

I was mining from pool and wanted to try out the cluster mining but its not working I think. I have paste this in my .bat file -> hodlminer.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 4 --coinbase-addr=RPbVMGKcipUtjdWNMwRhQEJUvyAsCmwQT3 -P -q

but it showing these weird things over and over -

Hi
Is it profitable to mine with my old computer quad core cpu ?if yes how much per day?

You can do pool mining and see how much you can earn per day. Solo mining is not recommended if you have a low hash power

Guys listen to my sad tale

The automatic price trigger option at an exchange betrayed me Angry I set that to sell at 10000 but it sold my coins at 9400) when it was falling rapidly ... I had to buy back my bitcoin at an increased price again as a result lost 0.2 bitcoin  Cry

learned an expensive lesson I guess

Hello,

People are comming to me and asking if is the website in maintenance, because they are trying to download the wallet all day but nothing.

Here you go

Quick Update:

The website at https://roi-coin.com is offline. This is due to extreme site traffic, bandwidth and cpu usage levels. I'm currently migrating everything to enterprise level dedicated hosting and will get this done as fast as possible.

In the meantime please download the wallet compiles at Github by visiting https://github.com/ROIcoin/ROIcoin/releases

If you have any concerns or questions just let me know  Smiley
