Is it possible to realistically solo mine? If so, can you do it through the wallet? Or do you need a separate client?

Thanks

Is it possible to realistically solo mine this coin? If so, can you do it through the gui wallet? Or do you need a stand alone miner?

Thanks

Is it still possible to realistic solo mine or is the difficulty too high? If it is worth it to solo mine how do you do it? Through the gui wallet or through a separate app? Would love some help on trying to get started

Thanks again. I'll have to spend a day or two looking over this, but I'll give you guys a hollar if I get stuck. One last thing, so if I try to solo mine in the wallet it won't work? I mean if I type in setgenerate true 4, will it work? Because I've done that before and I can't seem to find the command that'll tell me my hashrate.

Thanks for all of your help, I really appreciate it. I think I have one more question and then I should be good. Would you happen to have directions on how to set up a p2pool node specific for this coin? I just googled for directions but they all seem to be for different coins....not this one.

I'm running on windows and have no idea how to compile on here lol

Thanks for posting your .conf file. I tried the same configuration and got the same error message. When I first start the cc miner I get the message "no payout address specified, switching to getwork.

Does that have anything to do with this?
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help!!! Cannot Solo Mine!! on: September 13, 2016, 01:16:55 AM
Hello,

thanks for helping me out. Yeah I think your right, I just put that in there just to be safe.

Here is my bat file:

cpuminer-athlon64-64.exe -t 4 -o 192.168.1.23:10889 -O user:pass
pause

Any ideas on what to do?
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XMY] Myriad 0.11.3.1 | Upgrade | 1st Multi-Algo | New algo (yescrypt) on: September 13, 2016, 01:15:46 AM
I made the changes you specified, but unfortunately, I still get the "connection is refused" error message.

This is my .bat file for cc miner:
cpuminer-athlon64-64.exe -t 4 -o 192.168.1.23:10889 -O user:pas
pause

Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

EDIT:

I just realized that after making those changes to the wallet .conf, I get a different error message that reads:
HTTP request failed: The requested URL returned error 404

When I go into the browser and type in the local ip and port I get the following error:
{"result":null,"error":{"code":-32700,"message":"Parse error"},"id":null}

Hope this means I'm getting closer to fixing this.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Help!!! Cannot Solo Mine!! on: September 12, 2016, 10:18:20 PM
I'm trying to solo mine myriadcoin. I'm using ccminer. When I start up ccminer I get the following error: HTTP request failed: The requested URL returned error 404

This is my wallet's conf. file:

listen=1
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
server=1
P2P Port=10888
RPC port=10889
listen=1
maxconnections=32
server=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=192.168.0.0/24
addnode=85.195.118.163
algo=yescrypt

When I go into the browser and type in the local ip and port I get the following error:
{"result":null,"error":{"code":-32700,"message":"Parse error"},"id":null}

Can someone please help me out? It's been driving me crazy. I've spent hours trying to figure it out and searching the web.

Thanks!

I don't think ccminer is connected to my wallet. I keep on getting this error: HTTP Request Failed: connection refused json_rpc_call failed.

Here is my wallet conf:

listen=1
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pas
server=1
P2P port:10888
RPC port:10889
listen=1
maxconnections=32
server=1
rpcallowip=192.168.1.23
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=*
addnode=85.195.118.163
algo=yescrypt
daemon=1

Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Edit# how can I tell that my wallet is listening on port 10889?

Which of these algorithms have a low enough difficulty allowing you to do solo mine with your cpu? Or is it pretty much impossible to do that?

No, you can still solomine yescrypt with CPU. You'll probably get 0.25-3 blocks per day depending on your CPU. Yescrypt network hashrate atm is ~0.7 Mh/s, if your CPU cranks out ~1 kH/s you'll get 1 out of every 700 blocks, which would be a block every couple days.

Thanks for your help! I just downloaded the wallet and set up the yescrypt miner. I made a .bat file for solo mining. How can I tell that it's actually working and that I haven't made some kind of mistake in the .bat file?

Also, how can I change the location of where the block chain is stored? I know it asks you where to store it when you load up the wallet for the first time, but I want to change the location from where I originally set it to.

Thanks!

Is it possible to solo mine in the wallet and actually find some blocks? Or is the difficulty too high?
