61  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a good idea to buy Bitcoin now at $29? on: February 20, 2013, 03:26:46 PM
I honestly do not know. It might be, and then again it might be a moderately bad idea.

If you're buying them as a novelty and not investing heavily into BTC, then go ahead. If you're thinking of allocating your life savings into them, then do it if you want to take the risk.  You need to do your own due diligence.

I doubt that we'll go significantly below $10 unless the whole Bitcoin network fails. And I think we'll see much higher prices before correction. But I can't guarantee we won't be in the $10 to $20 range for an extended time after the current rally is over. On the other hand, I can't guarantee we'll see prices below $30 after this week, either.

So you're pretty much not saying anything lol

65  Bitcoin / Mining / Catalyst 13.2 Beta Drivers fix those ugly flashing square you may get while min on: February 17, 2013, 09:41:47 PM
Installing latest beta drivers have fixed ugly flashing squares I was getting while mining. Although My performance dropped from 550 to 500 Mhash/s using 7950 at 1100Mhz. But I guess I would rather have a clean screen! Smiley

67  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buying hardware vs Buying Bitcoins? on: December 14, 2012, 07:30:19 PM
bought two 5850 in late october for 200 and sold my geforce 560 fermi for 120 so my two 5850 cost around 80$.

I have made around 5-6 bitcoin since then so I might pay my investment soon, although, my gaming performance are MUCH better with two 5850 in crossfire I play borderlands 2 with all settings to the max Smiley

BTW you can find good deals on 5830-50-70 right now so take time shopping if you want to buy some!
68  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Who is quitting mining due to block halving? on: November 30, 2012, 01:12:02 AM
Using GPU processing power for heating my place right now. It's 24.5 inside (-10 outside) and there are no other heater than my two Pcs Smiley

I still make around 0.25 bitcoin a day with around 1Gh/s so I guess it's not that bad.

74  Other / Beginners & Help / Is it possible to mine bitcoin with only a % of your GPU ? on: November 20, 2012, 03:03:35 PM
Hello, I would like to mine bitcoin with only a certain % of my GPU, so it doesn't slow down my computer when I use it, and I set it back to 100% when I don't use it. Is there any miner software that allow you to do that ?
75  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Unable to use Gigabyte 5850 HD to bitcoin ?? on: November 07, 2012, 09:53:07 PM

76  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Unable to use Gigabyte 5850 HD to bitcoin ?? on: November 07, 2012, 01:38:53 PM
So basically i uninstall all Gygabite drivers, manually remove DLL and download and install the file you mentionned ?

Will that mean I'll get less performance playing videogames with those older drivers ? Should my card not still be detected with the newest driver and at worse affect bitcoin mining performance ?

79  Other / Beginners & Help / New to bitmining, planning on buying 2x Gigabyte Radeon 5850 ? on: November 06, 2012, 09:59:55 PM
Hello all! I started bitmining this weekend and I thought my ratio of Mhash/s sucked so I did some research and found that I would get much better result with a Radeon 5850. I actually have a Evga 560 fermi and do with it 75 Mhash/s. Would it greatly improve my Mhash/s with 2 Radeon 5850 instead ? Would my videogame performance decrease in comparison to the Geforce 560? I found 2 used Radeon 5850 for 200$, is it a good price ? Thank you for helping me out !
