Hi, I sent some bc via Electrum like 2 hours ago, but nothing happened so far. Hi, I try simple os, but I have problems with it. Miner works only for 4 gpu, when I use 5 or 6 gpu's I get an error.My rig contains: Power Color 2х470 8gb, 2х480 8gb and 2х480 4gb motherboard prime 270-p Do I need any additional information about the system? I write image to USB flash drive 8gb Error example in attach. I've got msi z87-g45 running stable with 6 gpus on SMOS But msi Z170A sli is having problems with 6 gpu but working fine on Windows 10. Try windows for now upuntil we get fix on SMOS. |

I've tried to enable 4G but screen freezes when it loads the smOS but after disabling the 4G it loads the smOS but wouldn't start the miner also in smOS dashboard I only see 4 gpus out of 6
I'm just spit-balling here, but how much memory do you have installed? "Above 4G Decoding," after all, refers to accessing in excess of 4GB of memory for mapping of PCIe devices. I've got 4gb installed but so far rig is stable after new installation of windows and drivers. |

Same issue, I couldn't find any solution for that. In addition, when I use more than 4, SMOS doesn't see any of them. I found the solution but it only worked in windows 10. i got all 6 cards running on msi z170a sli motherboard. first you need to install windows 10 in UEFI also needs gpt partition. my bios settings are Settings / Advanced PEG = 0 Auto PEG = 1 Auto PCI Latency = 64 Above-4G Enabled Settings / Windows OS Configuration Windows 8.1 / 10 = Enabled i got boot into windows and all 6 gpus installed. looking forward to see 4g fix for SMOS. |

As I stated before, I've MSI Z170A Gaming M5 motherboard and Asus RX 480 8G, when I try to use more than 4 gpus, simplemining doesn't detect gpus and it gives and error.
Is there anybody who uses Z170A chipset? Have you ever tried to use RX 480 8G with this motherboard?
I thought I had replied to you earlier, but upon reviewing my post history, I may have been thinking about a response I posted to another user in another thread. I run this board with 8 RX 470 4gb cards without issue, and it was very easy to get running. I have helped a couple people with this board, and to the best of my knowledge, everyone has been able to get it to work with the following steps: 1. Use a Skylake processor. One person I know of started with a Kaby Lake processor, and he could not get the board to run more than 4 cards without switching to a Skylake. 2. Update the BIOS to the latest version. 3. Enable above 4g decoding 4. Leave all other settings alone (with the exception of selecting internal graphics upon boot up), especially the settings concerning PCIe speed. Leave PCIe speeds set to "Auto." Other people have suggested changing these settings to Gen I or Gen II, but most of those suggestions concerned getting this board to work using a superseded version of the BIOS. 5. I know Tytanick is working on some issues with smOS and how it interacts with RX 5xx cards. I don't know what those issues are. Thanks for your support. I can ship to the EU, but shipping cables/PSU's is very heavy and VERY expensive from here in Canada. People have had more success sourcing their own PSU's at least and purchasing the rest from me. Keep trying to contact J4bberwock as well, he is based out of EU and this is his board design.
