61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything | UnOfficial Monitored Thread on: January 13, 2017, 02:17:11 AM
Do you think it will be a coin used by many people?
If you think that it will be used, for what reason do you think so?

IF the plans and conceptions for the coin are realized - it can ( and more than likely will ) be used and utilized for MANY purposes ...

i personally would not be interested in this coin STILL - had it not been for the interest in the plans and development ...

if we at cwi had the people and developmental prowess that some of these fine members of the spr community on our team - we would already have an experimental system ready ...

Thanks crysx, It'd be nice to see some real conversations about Spreadcoin for once.

Cheers.

you are welcome mate ...

im just fed up with all the trolling ... and not being able to have a decent read or conversation without sifting through pages of garbage ...

its one thing to 'feel' about religion or race or culture ...

but the mindless drivel ( well some of it WAS amusing for a moment or three ) is just too much to bear for me ...

i hope this helps - even just a little ...

66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / ### CWI-Thread - SpreadCoin Thread | UnOfficial Monitored Thread on: January 13, 2017, 02:01:11 AM
hi all

i have set this thread up due to the trolling and constant garbage posted by the trolls of the official spreadcoin thread.

this not only constant garbage - while initially is amusing for the first few seconds - not only reduces the activity of REAL and genuine users / investors of spreadcoin and the project - but also increases the tardiness of the thread in general making it almost impossible to discuss things in any decent fashion ...

this thread IS a self-moderated one and trolls WILL be deleted - along with ANY OTHER posts that are deemed to be unacceptable ... this does NOT include religious views or race or colour or creed ... if the posts are ON TOPIC and spreadcoin users wish to use this thread - then there will be little if ANY issue with continuing with it ...

i too agree with gerogem regarding the freedom of speech spiel - but ONLY when it does not 'interfere' ... these trolls have become much more than a hinderance - they have become a problem ...

the real genuine users / posters are more than welcome to continue discussion here if they feel it is right to do so ... and the other posts WILL be deleted ...

simple ...

this OP will be updated ( or replaced ) if it is deemed beneficial for the spreadcoin community ...

i have been a long term miner and trader of spr - and will continue to do so ... i have my own opinion on the project - and georgem - and the tardiness of the official thread - and the slow rate of developement - and so forth ... but as i posted in the official thread - my answers will remain the same to those two questions asked before about georgem and spr ...

yes - he seems to be a capable dev ...
yes - i believe there is a future for spreadcoin ...

i hope this will be a positive step for spr - not a negative one ... as i for one - as a user of the official thread - am sick to the teeth with having to sift through all the crap before i get to the real meat of the project ...

o btw - PLEASE do not quote the trolls - as when they post - they will be deleted when i get online and blocked when they get reported to the bitcointalk mods ...

Any news crysx? Would mind knowing the future of the project.

hi all ...

there is no real news that can be given right now ...

negotiations have taken place - and ultimately as with any business transaction - the bottom line will NOT be whether we have continued interest in the projects involved - but moreso the availability of funds to pay for all involved ... which we are struggling with currently ... especially at the beginning of the year when funds are thinnest ...

i have personally believed that the projects that mtr777 has created have been good solid ones - regardless of the mannerisms in which things were done and the community upsets ... this not to say i agree with any or all of the decisions made - it is to say that the projects and ideas that he has started are sound project ideas and ( unfortunately ) cost a great of cash / btc to create ... so far he has done a great job keeping everything afloat ...

times are changing and other priorities and interests have now taken place ... i believe that it would be a great waste of ideas and resources if these projects were sold - and just handed to the highest bidder ... especially if these 'new' owners do not have the interest of the projects in focus - or have the vested interest in the community and growth of such projects with only the sole focus of 'just' profits ...

once again though - we just do not have pockets deep enough to begin a takeover without mtr777 dipping into his pockets AGAIN - which will not happen ... hence the negotiations will continue and until funds come our way we cannot negotiate well ... we believe that these projects are worth continuing - and i personally believe that they should be seen to fruition and put into production ...

i highly doubt mtr777 will just hand his hard work over to 'just anyone' ...

integrity is something that i work with on a daily basis - will continue to do so - and have built ChainWorks Industries ( CWI ) on that philosophy ...

if there is a deal that is to be hatched to adopt these projects into cwi - then it shall be done ... until then - we will work on what we know how to do best and mtr777 will work on and do what he does best ...

never give up - always put in your best foot forward - and always do the best you can with all you have ...

@Rhinomonkey

It's looking more and more likely that Satoshi is British  Tongue

https://twitter.com/jyap/status/818406588159430656

Hmm, he could also be from a country that was colonized by you Brits (save the US).

I think there are a good number of them.  Tongue

The real question is did he spell decentralized with a z or s.

we used to spell it all with an s ...

and still do to some extent - but the us influence is sweeping hard across oz - and is taking over in a big way ...

so soon - satoshi might be changing lingo ... i mean - ozzies might be ... ahem ...

hi all ...

there will be some disruption to the backend today - as ALL seednodes are going through maintenance ...

price is going little down , any news or any suggestion for push the price up ?

Yes point a miner or 2  @ zpool, I am but not enough to keep it from getting dumped to BTC on the exchanges

hi all ...

the cwi-pool ( official goldblocks pool ) on the new server with new cwi-stratum and recode has been finished ...

the cwi-stratum has been tested with a small amount of hash and works well - but is quite aggressive with stratum-diff ... this needs tweaking ...

so when it looks like the pool is not showing miners - and your miners are actually processing shares - it is because the pool updates every 15seconds and the stratum-diff increases at a rapid rate - hence sending the shares its been working on after the pool thinks its disappeared ... this does not result in any losses - but does help with the stats ...

so we will move the goldblocks pool out of 'alpha' designation and into 'beta' designation with the change in color of the goldblocks-pool ( cyan this time ) and will start the tweak of the settings of the stratum aggressiveness of stratum-difficulty ... this is due to the one port being used for all miners - as this stratum is built to handle the whole gamut of hashrates your help and patience while this transition is happening is very much appreciated ... and for those that have helped during this trying time - we give our tanx as well ...

there 'may' be the situation where you will be required to delete then recreate your workers - but this will happen once - due to the recode of the stratum ...

please remember - that this is a new cwi-pool system ( which was originally for internal use only ) and teething issues DO arise ... so please report ALL issues so we can attend to them asap ...

direct link to official goldblocks-pool ...

miner address parameter ...
stratum+tcp://pool.chainworksindustries.com:1200/ ...

tanx again to all those that have helped in the testing phase and the debug phase of the build ...

now for the tweaking to make this one of the most solid and responsive pools that we have had to date ...

Is there a windows wallet download? Because I'd rather not keep my coins on an exchange. Smiley

morning mate ...

not for the current git - but only the one before ...

we are trying to get the download backend sorted - as dropbox continues to lock out users due to 'too many requests' ... what a load of crap ...

ill supply you the previous windows wallet ( this core does not have ALL the 25seednodes hardcoded ) if you want it ...

btw - this thread will soon be locked - as all the projects will be posted on the cwi thread ...

tanx ...

#crysx
Dropbox has dropped the box?

in a sense - yup ...

we are looking at a mega account ... but need to transfer ALL the files from dropbox to mega if it works - which takes time ...

maybe just get the downloadables into mega for the time being - and then create a business account with them later ...

76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CryptoWorldXToken] [CWXT] Your Gateway To Crypto Communication Tokens on: January 08, 2017, 02:08:18 AM
hi ...

curious in a number of things - especially the specs of the project ...

there are such few specs - that im lost and need some clarification if you will ...

what is the algo of the coin? ...
what is the block number for PoW and for PoS? ...
what is the specifications to PoW and whether this is still a hybrid coin - or just PoS now?

a few other questions need answers - bu they are based on the answers of these questions ...

tanx ...

#crysx
the algo is script, the POW blocks have value 0 and they are only used to move chain, there are about 5000000 POS blocks, so its just POS coin.

thank you for asking this question, it helped me find small error in POS amount of blocks, i will push update soon.

ok - tanx ...

and you are welcome at the same time ...

so pushing PoW will be a useless effort for a miner ...

we would have to buy ( or otherwise come across ) coins to stake in the wallet ONLY ... pity ...

i think this is a great concept - and one we have worked on in a different way for a little while - but just dont see how a PoS only situation could be of benefit to the network in its entirety unless you actually have a huge number of wallets open and a huge number of users on the platform being forced to have their wallets / daemons active all the time ...

PoW reward would be much more beneficial to entice miners to come into the network and stabilize it with their hashpower ...

ill watch and see how it goes - and if you decide that a PoW reward would be good and change it from 0 to something worthwhile - then we will consider turning thefarm to mine here also ...

i appreciate your response ...

#crysx
the coin is only created as a thank you to everyone that donates and support our web portal development, it will be also usable on the portal and traded on exchanges until all supply is burned. So there is no plan for adding POW

o ok ...

great ... i assumed it was a tradable entity like most other coins are ...

but good to know ...

tanx again ...

#crysx
it is a tradable coin soon to be listed on its first exchange

ok ...

will be tradable - yet no way of getting it through mining - except your giveaways now? ...

how does that make sense? ...

im not arguing with you - as you seem to be heading in your own direction anyway ... but we are not newbies at this - and for me - i cant get my head around how you intend on enticing newcomers to your project ( or investors like us ) if there is no real incentive except to -

1 - wait for a promotion so that you can give away 'thankyou' coins / tokens ...
2 - wait for an exchange for those that DO have coins to trade / dump on that exchange as soon as it opens ...

ill sit back and watch - see how this pans out ... but i would suggest ( with all due respect ) that you really need to think this through a little more ...

either way - you have now just cut out the mining community to even begin to look at the project ... i came across this project by accident through a cryptogirl post ... and because it was very similar to a project we started a long time ago - i was personally interested ...

but - as it stands - you seem to have thing in order in your own project Smiley ...

#crysx
i dont see this being the first tradable coin that is not POW mined, last few months almost no POW coin was launched

1. Thank You coins are aquired for donating for the development of www.cryptoworldx.com
2. If we get soon listed on exchange there is not enough amount of coins in circulation to dump

well to develop the services we want we will need quite some amount for the servers and stuff, if this coin was POW and we dont have miners we wont get anything so we wont be able to develop, we also didn't want to do a plain ICO as its really not working any more so we moved on this path

sounds good ...

but you miss a few points here ...

- MOST - and i really mean MOST - coins dont make it past the first year of development ... mostly PoS based coins ...
- even though you are focusing on the main project - the base of the project IS the blockchain - hence the coins - hence the interest ...
- people like me run and own infrastructure larger than most - not just coins and farms ... it has taken us three years to build what we have and spend in excess of most peoples salaries in those years to build it ... so if you think that by doing what you are doing is going to generate the funds for you to build anything even remotely similar to what we have currently - then you need to generate a HUGE amount of interest AND get them to donate / reach into their pockets to do it yourself - which means you need to generate a project that is of massive interest to the public ... and i hope you do ...

but to a person like me - who DOES have the infrastructure you seek - you actually disengage due to the lack of interest for my / our involvement into your project ...

like i mentioned earlier - its a good project IF you can succeed in building the systems you would like to build and put them in place ... but to d o that requires not only hard long work and huge amount of effort - but also deep pockets and ( the main thing ) massive interest from the public ...

good luck - as i would like to see how you will succeed with this plan ...

but just a word of advice from a veteran here - partnerships are the key to your success ... and when you cant build it yourself - partner with those that have their own expertise and systems already in place ... otherwise - the dream of making this project a success will be just that ... a dream ...

im off now ...

Please update your BitQuark client to the newest version v0.8.3r21 now available at http://www.bitquark.info

Thanks,
BTQ Dev

thats great news ...

in the coming days - we will look at building the bitquark pool - on our new server - using our new custom built cwi-stratum ...

we will publish the results on our thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1563601 ...

we are still tweaking the stratum - as its aggressive with stratum-diff - but it now works very well with our other pools ... lets see how this goes ...

if there is anything we need to know with regards to the build ( we need all the conf file parameters - especially special ones ) please let us know ...

otherwise - we will see how the pool goes next week Wink ...
