61  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Avalon sale for $466 million pending. on: June 23, 2016, 05:07:42 PM
The company who bought the Avalon should spend the $466 to buy bitcoin, after 3 years, it is $4660 million.
Don't be stupid, first of all half a billion in buy orders would hyperinflate the price, second of all this company obviously has a plan. They make parts for power companies, they are going to be using this to their advantage. Could you imagine a mining company that builds miners and mines below electric cost, because I am sure that is exactly what this company envisions.

$446 m is about 0.9 million bitcoins if the company buy slowly. 0.9 M is 4% of total monetary supply. If bitcoin becomes big, that 4% is also big.

Ethereum coin has a good hipe and good pomotions but i dont think it will be so poupar as bitcoin.
I think ther can only be one of a poupar coin . This must be Bitcoin or  Ethereum ! Both thogeter will not work.

kind regards

The Etheruem is still in very early stage. It was under development since later 2014, it is just two years old.

What i don't understand are people who are rooting for one coin on another full of anger Cheesy

The things is i don't care which coin will prevail, i will just switch to another one which will give me profit, im not family connected either to Bitcoin or Ethereum lol.

I think currently bitcoin difficulty is already astronomic, after halving miners won't be too happy and might switch to another currenty which might cause bitcoin transaction to be even slower then they are now.

Ethereum on the other hand is mined other way than the bitcoin so it will not be bitcoin killer when it comes to mining switch due to difficulty and reward. But mining switch might kill bitcoin price i think and people will turn their BTC into some other progressive coin such as Ethereum or Lisk or whatever.

For me, I want to use a coin and hold it for the long term, so I want to buy the coin with most potential.
65  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will hit $3k-$4k by end of 2017 on: May 10, 2016, 06:13:42 AM
Most likely it will not because the fact is that 3/4 k is just too much, I think we can maybe reach the 1,5 k amount but not higher than that.
I even think if people are thinking this they are unrealistic.

The halving could double the price, the block size could double the price, the general adoption can also doulbe the price, so $3k is possible.

By the end of 2017, anythnig is possible. Maybe we see Bitcoins at 4000$  Cheesy

$4000 is just a small possibility. I think more realistic estimate is the 2000 to 3000 dollar range for the price.

That could happen. The $4k price for each bitcoin is not high if a small pension fund invest in bitcoin.

If the bitcoin price is around $4000. The total market cap is about $80 billion. It is very small for many pension funds to invest.
