61  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do you see bitcoin 5 years from now? on: September 12, 2017, 09:34:14 AM
What are your thoughts guys or is it worth to hold Btc for 5 years.

I don't know if this sounds realistic for others. But for me, bitcoin five years from now. Bitcoin price maybe much higher that we could not be expected. And I think most of local banks would accept bitcoins. and also some countries and stores accepts bitcoin as their alternative payments which maybe we can call this another atms in reality. Sound unrealistic but maybe someday this may happen. And if this happen many people who do not know bitcoin will get interest in cryto currency.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: September 12, 2017, 09:28:15 AM
What would you do when you're talking to someone but then he suddenly talks about his hatred on Bitcoin, what would you react to it?

I've never actually experienced anything like this before, I just want to be prepared when it happened to me.

If you are talking to people who are not open-minded then you're wasting your time explaining to them. Well it is hard to explain bitcoin to other people if their mind set is one-sided. For me, talking and explaining bitcoin to people who are hated bitcoin is useless. It's like you are selling your shoes to people who never uses shoes. Lol

Quote
Some tech-savvy wedding-goers are gifting the digital currency to new couples. Honeyfund, a honeymoon registry that allows guests to give cash rather than gifts, has seen more than a dozen customers donate in bitcoin, said chief executive officer and co-founder Sara Margulis. In recent years, more than a dozen customers have chosen to route donations to the site from bitcoin wallets. Zola, a wedding registry website, has had just two cash funds created for bitcoins since 2013, a spokeswoman said. "I would expect it to pop more as millennials come into the wedding age,” Honeyfund’s Margulis said. “It’s something you will do if your friends and family are already into bitcoin.

Bitcoin as an retirement plan, bitcoin to secure the future of your kids, and now bitcoin as a wedding gift. Whether or not bitcoin replaces cash in future, it looks like the trend of gifting bitcoin instead of cash at weddings is definitely going to catch up and more wedding registeries would be adding bitcoin as a gifting option.

Quote
Avoid using a wedding gift "as an opportunity to proselytize a technology you personally believe in, but the recipient could not care less about."

People who are not into bitcoin might not appreciate getting a volatile currency as a gift, and might never use it, thus adding it to the list of lost coins, but I think people who are already using bitcoin or would most probably use it in future then bitcoin instead of cash is the apt wedding gift for them.

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/would-you-give-bitcoin-as-a-wedding-gift-2017-06-27

It depends on the couple if they know bitcoin. Why not? But this idea is somehow weird. Well how can you gift bitcoin on a wedding ceremony and also on the reception. Mostly we know that in wedding party we give material things as gift for the couple. Looks so weird to me. But maybe good idea for couple who uses bitcoin as their living. Smiley
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as salary for a regular job? on: September 11, 2017, 04:05:12 AM
I will not accept bitcoin as a salary from a regular job because it is volatile so the value of the bitcoin that i will get is not stable in fiat so i might get a high salary or a very low salary so i don't think that it is a good option for the companies to pay their employees using bitcoin and i will still prefer fiat since it has a fixed value.

I agree with this. Yeah we know the value of bitcoin is not stable it will drop or get high everytime. So it means your income is not stable too. But if your employee fixed your salary on a local currency well that's great. It is better to pay you in o a local currency than that. We don't know when or what will happen to crypto currency on the future.

Guys i need an advance quickly. I have deposited $500 of fiat to my exchanger account. I dont know if i must buy bitcoin or altcoins. I know that yesterday we had a pump, and i dont know what to do right now.
I do wanna buy altcoins too because i see that they are in red, what do you think about BAT and Verge? are they a good option right now or not?
thank you guys.

better buy bitcoin now sir. Because there's a rumor that by september to december the price of bitcoin will rise I think 5000 and higher. I don't if it's real but some veteran bitcoiner predict that. But if you still confuse better to hold that money for future purpose.
70  Economy / Speculation / Re: Invest in Bitcoin right now? on: September 06, 2017, 04:42:29 AM
Hello!

Thanks for reading this topic.

I have some money at the bank which I actually don't need. The interest rate is a joke, so I'm looking for long term investment.
BTC price is kind of high right now if you look at the charts and history. But I read a lot of topics and it looks like this doesn't matter at all.

Let's say I want to buy like 2BTC. Do you advice to do it right now or wait till when?

Thanks!!!

Its not too late to invest now. But check the btc price if it drop atleast small then invest your money I have a feeling that by september to december it will rise that we never expected. If that happened you will get high profit by investing it. But its up to you man.
71  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Accepting bitcoin for service on: September 05, 2017, 01:05:38 PM
Hello

I'm totally new to bitcoin.
What needs to be done if i want to accept micro bitcoin for services that i offer? What type of set up i need to do?

Thanks
Steve

What do you mean by services you offer? You mean you sell your skills and the payment is bitcoins? I don't know what services you can offer here. But before that you must read usefull pinned topics here for beginners like you. You can earn micro money here in so many ways like joining campaigns or offer what skills you have. But you must rank up your account to be able to get the attentions of services out there in services section.
72  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where to start? on: September 04, 2017, 05:16:00 PM
So I've been off for months. I'm a member since April 2016. But i started trading, collecting in faucets, joining HYIPs and mining sites like (hashocean, hashflare etc), gambling, and doing captcha since December 2015. At the time i got my first $200 in bitcoin, i stopped.
Now im back. I've spent my whole day in Services section today(im new to it), But i got nothing not a single satoshi. Please help me start in this section.

If you spent your whole day in services section. Then you must already have the idea on how to earn bitcoin there. Have you read threads about signature campaign? Then you should apply for a signature campaign.

74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really secure? on: September 01, 2017, 10:26:11 AM
Hello pals,
Recently I introduced Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to my friends and family, they liked the concept but they asked me a question that I wasn't able to answer. Is Bitcoin really secure? What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins? Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market? What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?
I really appreciate if you  guys give me some answers

Yes bitcoin is highly secured and most with transactions. It generates unique addresses and keys. Only by stupidy will steal your bitcoins with other users. as far as I read in google. Many transactions made in bitcoins whether it is illegal or not.
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: what will you do? on: September 01, 2017, 06:20:28 AM
hi, what will you do? If the bitcoin price is suddenly cheap

If that happens. I will invest my bitcoins to buy altcoins.. But I think it will not happen because I know bitcoin is the father of all altcoins out there. Many people believe in the potential of bitcoins and many rich people invest it for mining. But if ever it will happen I'm sure many people will quit in cryptocurrency.
76  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we already rich, gentleman? on: August 31, 2017, 03:59:54 PM
Where are the gentleman from the good ol' days

I hope so man that my future will be bright in bitcoin. I'm still poor hoping for miracle to drop atleast a little on my bitcoin wallet so that can enter trading and buy and sell. Hehehe.. I regret i stopped bitcoin in 2015. Maybe im a millionaire now. But I believe everything happens for a reason.
77  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Church of Bitcoin on: August 31, 2017, 03:49:55 PM
Hello there,

I am founding the Church of Bitcoin today on August 7th, 2017.

There have been past projects of the same name, but most were intended as satire, or abandoned after some time. This one is sincere. Our home page is http://www.churchofbitcoin.org and we are welcoming new members.

We will be filing as a 501(c)3 and seeking tax-exempt status as a religion.

Our scripture and other details will be available on our website.

To join our church, a bitcoin transaction of at least one satoshi is required. A one-time payment of one satoshi guarantees lifetime membership in the Church of Bitcoin. You will also be asked to provide your real name and contact information; a home address is not necessary but a valid email will be required.

In the future, we will have packages available with benefits such as t-shirts, patches, etc. for contributing members.

For more information, see our website or contact me, our founder, Henry Romp, at henry@churchofbitcoin.org

You are trying to say that you have formed just a plain organization that pushes through a tax-free society? And it has nothing to do with religion and God? So then, may i know why is it called church? Any way your objective is good but the organization named as church is somewhat irrelevant no? Church is a body of believers of God as i know it is or a building. Goodluck to you by the way.

I agree with this. I don't know why you choose the name church. As we know church symbolizes as a sacred home of god or whatever religion they called it. Although you're intension of creating an organization that pushes through a tax-free sociaty is not a bad idea. I just don't get it why you choose that name.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many ways are there to earn bitcoins? on: August 31, 2017, 03:40:10 PM
Recently, I've been trading bitcoins on btc-e, earning only a little, yes, very little, except the fees that btc-e takes.

Besides trading, are there any good method to earn bitcoins?   Thanks.

There are so many ways out there on how to earn bitcoin. Well if you are willing to buy and sell why not invest it to buy mining rigs? Im sure you're not new about mining bitcoin. Trading also has the potential of high profit if you are good at it.
79  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: August 31, 2017, 03:33:46 PM
I just always wonder if those billionaires still invest in btc. Do they even know btc exist?

Yes, many billionaires invest in cryptocurrency. Some billionaires earn their money in cyberworld. We don't know what method how they earn that money. But many of them get it by trading and gambling. And also I know that the CEO of google invest millions in bitcoin as far as I know I read it in google.
