61  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it going to pass $20k again? on: August 27, 2018, 02:32:30 PM
My mother and I had a talk about bitcoin last December 2017 or January 2018, the time where bitcoin is on its ATH. She predicted it will not go up beyond $20,000. Do you still think it will reach again its ATH?
Stay calm and wait for bitcoin to reach its ATH, many predictions of bitcoin will reach $ 20,000 last year, but no one can provide accurate prices for bitcoin but many changes occur. Prices are very unpredictable but if we think of $ 20k this year it will be difficult to cross at that price. If large-scale growth will occur, prices this year can reach all time again.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEWS Venezuela plans to create a cryptocurrency Central Bank on: August 27, 2018, 02:26:34 PM
Bad economic and social situations make me pessimistic that their own cryptocurrency can help them in solving this problem. Perhaps that this crypto goal will be a kind of self-promotion from president Maduro and several attempts to show the whole world how progressive he is.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 factors that may have a crucial impact on Bitcoin in 2018-2019 on: August 27, 2018, 02:12:24 PM
I'm trying to figure out 5 factors that may have a crucial impact on Bitcoin in 2018-2019
Already got 3 of them, what should I add in 4,5 ?

1. IPO Bitmain fin. results
2. One of the ETFs approved by SEC
3. China unban cryptocurrency trading
4. ...
5.  ...
Lightning Network and its adoption, are expected to have a positive impact on Bitcoin. we only need it to be used seriously before we can see the next big price surge because it happened. In addition, if some large weapons from industry increase, such as the ICE news that joins the crypto market with their own exchanges can also change the crypto market wave as a whole.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies, is it save? on: August 27, 2018, 02:06:08 PM
There is so much fear being generated about cryptocurrency, is it safe?
Bitcoin only gets a little correction and that makes sense to me because you have seen that Bitcoin is rising again, strengthen your confidence and don't try once again to follow the people who panic in holding their Bitcoin, because it's all caused by the FUD. It's only a matter of time until it will return in the future and I think it will be more than $ 8500 next month before the ETF announcement.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is dangerous.... on: August 27, 2018, 01:56:20 PM
Hello everyone, Today i'd like to share my story.
So in 2017 in sept, I first mined some electroneum coins and they were worth like $200 later, I as a student couldn't afford to buy Bitcoins for trading or holding, So mining did helped me ETN was a good coin, i would mine like 50 a day and it turned 20cents each, I got addicted to crypto and trading but i was scared to trade and lose those 200$ because then i'd have nothing, So from Sept to Nov, i'd just watch graphs and look at coins, Watch videos, try to learn trading and everything and in December i started trading and you guys know what happened at December 2017, But i was prepared so my $200 turned into like $150, still a loss but anyway.
But it went like this and i kept trading and everything, and i was in love with it...... Sadly in my Exams, I failed 3 papers in total 5... Because of Crypto, it takes you away from Real world, So i was disapointed because of it.
Now i trade carelessly without emotions, and i went above $200.. I saw many times and now experience told me its true that trading is 10% skills, 10% luck, 10% patience and 70% emotions....

good luck and enjoy your lives and don't ruin anything.

Edit: I still have high hopes from Crypto and i think this will change my life and i'll be not worrying about Studies later, But like people say "Don't put everything in one Basket" , so always have a backup. Study is my first priority and Bitcoin can be my side struggle and with luck and hard work, i might not have to worry about studies then.
You enter the trade too fast and you do not include "experience" as the key to success in trading. skill, patience and luck are necessary but your experience in trading crypto will be the most valuable teacher in your life. Don't blame Crypto if you end up spending time to trade because in this section there has been a lot of discussion "don't trade, because crypto daily trading will take up your time".
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge tokens during Bounties on: August 27, 2018, 01:43:41 PM
Everything really depends on the ICO project itself, the bounty campaign usually only equals about 1% of the total coins so it actually has a smaller impact on prices than people realize, I usually think prices will fall because of great gifts but never really happened, so as I said depends on how good the project is.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please read! Do not get overlook on the crypto market price! on: August 27, 2018, 01:38:28 PM
I know that there are many individuals here in this forum that are always looking on cryptomarket price for the crypto that they are holding. Always hoping that one might get a good market price increase. This is why one does overlook on real number of crypto that they are holding because they are always looking on the equivalent of the crypto to fiat money. It is not like that because the real thing that you should look is the number of crypto that we know it is not changing for example you have 6 BTC @ 6k USD and eventually market price drop to 5K USD per BTC. Even if market price drop you still have 6 BTC and that is not changing and you should not worry. You have to get worry when you have 6 BTC and after seeing some time you will have 3 BTC only. That is one thing that you should worry because there might be one getting into your digital wallet and transfer your BTC to other digital wallet.
There is always concern in every investor's mind because we always see the value of our investment, we monitor our investments at all times. here, investors invest their capital to make a profit and I think that is everyone's hope, my concern is normal but don't overdo it, keep thinking positively as long as the amount of assets is still intact.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good News!!! on: August 27, 2018, 01:17:03 PM
Is that really good news or just hype? honestly I still doubt it because it deals with famous people. But I hope that ACM Tokens from GCOX are good projects, and can provide a bright future.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOP THIS DESPERATION FOR FREE TOKENS!!! on: August 27, 2018, 12:42:21 PM
actually long time ago, bounties and airdrop is enough for the hunters to eat some meals because there are only about 200 people who join those programs, but now days when i see the spreadsheet, i give up to join those bounty programs. there are over 1000 - 3000 peoples joining the program since december 2017. when i see closely, there are many people using multiple account to grab as many token as possible. so it's not the matter of the reward, but it's because of those greedy peoples
When Bitcoin increased at the end of 2017 I realized this would happen, competition would be even tighter to get tokens because the campaign participants boomed, sometimes campaign managers did not restrict participants making me difficult to generate a decent salary, for now I switched to ICO investors because rarely once I found a project that gave me a decent salary like before.

70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stay safe on: August 27, 2018, 12:21:50 PM
I have just read a good article on security and I feel like it's worth sharing as the hacks keep happening over and over again. Read the basic principles and stay safe guys!

https://www.ccn.com/the-common-tactics-used-to-hack-a-cryptocurrency-exchange/
Hackers have a million ways to steal our money, I think This is a very difficult problem for big investors, they are always looking for ways to protect investor accounts. Many of these attacks made me spend money to buy a cold wallet. The Nano S Ledger is a great product and has a very high level of security. I encourage everyone to use it.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which alts will survive? on: August 27, 2018, 12:09:15 PM
hey all, new to this forum, was wondering which alts do people think will survive? Which ones will gain traction when this crypto winter ends? Which ones have a use that will be taken up by the mainstream? Thanks
Altcoin that will definitely survive is ethereum even though Ethereum is currently experiencing a great decline, I'm still sure this coin will bounce back to the top because Ethereum is a platform of projects that have good basics.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people need to use Bitcoin for Money laundering? on: August 27, 2018, 12:02:48 PM
Between 2004 and 2010, HSBC laundered Billions of Dollars for the Mexican Drug cartels and nobody blinked an eye. After

7 years of doing this, they got busted and they paid US$1.9bn in fines. {This could be recovered in profits, within a few

weeks} Most people saw this as a slap on the wrist for the people who were involved with this. Not one person working for the

Bank got jail time for doing this.  Roll Eyes  https://observer.news/featured/5-years-ago-hsbc-fined-record-us1-9bn/

Ross Ulbricht, was sentenced to life in prison without parole for creating and running Silk Road, which allegedly facilitated

the sale of $250 million worth of drugs.

Why are we seeing such double standards, when Bitcoin is involved?

Bitcoin's anonymous nature can be used by anyone, without exception. this is exploited by criminals for money laundering. Because of decentralization, almost all countries also hate it. I believe it is more dangerous if it is not regulated rapidly globally. It has side effects that prices may fall deeper but will find a way to be clean from dirty hands.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LIKE IT OR NOT, BITCOIN IS AN INVESTMENT on: August 23, 2018, 04:44:24 PM
                              In an economic sense,
An INVESTMENT is the purchase of goods that are not consumed today but are used in the future to create wealth.
                                        In finance
An INVESTMENT is a monetary asset purchased with the idea that the asset will provide income in the future or will later be sold at a higher price for a profit.

I really don't want to turn these into an economics class but the both definition of what investments are clearly should settle the argument of whether BTC is truly an investment or not.

At present, bitcoin is an investment in economic and financial value. because currently Bitcoin is not widely consumed by many people and is believed to be able to provide income in the future or later will be sold at a higher price to make a profit. And in the future bitcoin will no longer be an investment but will become a global currency that will be used by everyone around the world.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your best ICO? on: August 23, 2018, 04:30:16 PM
When the market falls and the price of the coin goes down, I haven't found a really good ICO, most of them are scams. that's why I chose to buy in exchange rather than buying at the ICO. This is more certain than ICO, because it is available in exchange you won't worry if the coin really has good value. Better check the coin market hat to see what good coins are available. There is a list of potential new coins introduced in the market.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash vs Bitcoin, which is better? on: August 22, 2018, 08:45:34 PM
Bitcoin is a crypto currency that has made a new breakthrough in the world of investment throughout the world and continues to do so, so that altcoins are not able to get close to the price of Bitcoin. It is clear so far that Bitcoin has no competition. because enthusiasts and those who adopt Bitcoin are very high, and different from altcoins.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is it the Future of Banking ? on: August 22, 2018, 08:37:34 PM
It can't be for Bicoin to replace fiat currency, because we know for ourselves using bitcoin we must have internet access and other devices that can support and also bitcoin prices are not stable, we also know that not all places can get internet access, and bitcoin also does not have a physical form, I think bitcoin is more suitable for long-term investment places.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Satoshi Nakamoto's identity revealed ? on: August 22, 2018, 08:33:01 PM
I have never cared about rumors like this, and I think this kind of rumor is a lot of nonsense. Nobody and no method can reveal Satoshi Nakamoto's true identity. On the other hand, no matter who the real satoshi is, his invention makes me rich day by day.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in ETC now? on: August 22, 2018, 08:29:10 PM
Maybe a little risky to enter the ETC now, but also some people think that the actual pump won't happen until the trade starts and now coinbase only receives deposits so I might want to gamble a little not so sure.
79  Other / Off-topic / Re: crypto in the present moment? on: August 22, 2018, 08:23:44 PM
I do not like the current crypto market conditions, again and again the price goes down. We can use this moment to invest. Using this situation we can buy more bitcoin and hold it for a long time. Starting from this year alone is not good for Crypto. All expect that at the end of this year the price will rise. But according to the current situation, the chances are very lacking for a bull run. We cannot judge the market that might occur or not.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Giveaway threads are not allowed on: August 22, 2018, 08:18:44 PM
That is something I often hear, and when it's getting crowded there so seeing logic will be like a safe area for Giveaways instead of opportunities for phishing redirects but it's something that someone can make.
