If you don't like the look of Bitcoin! Try the hundreds of different altcoins that are available! Cheesy

not sure what your are talking about

what im saying is that a lot of usa people are saying that a cypris wont happen here. but with a state going bankrupt(well a city) and the gov automaticly taking your money, maybe its best to put it into bitcoins. what the hell did you mean?
65  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITSTAMP eXchange wall Observer. second biggest and best exchange on: July 30, 2013, 11:09:36 PM
wow i have never seen more then this much in the seperation of prices vs mt gox. double digit separation in price comparison. a bit over 10 dollars. at least it was when i check a bit ago. wow all back to that arbitrage discution. if there was a way you could buy btc on stamp and sell on gox ten a coin you would make. but then the whole thing with not getting your money out of gox. still its nice to dream. take a hundred coins and do this, thousand dollars just like that. haha of corse the fees of this and the fees of that you would not make that much. but i think with ten dollars in difference you could deff make a little right?

anyways i thought it was interesting how cheepthey are over here at bitstamp vs gox. good if buying bad if selling. best to move to coinbase and get more bang for your....coin?

But who wants to be in dollars at the moment?

good call, not me. good thing i bout at the first sign of "whails buying" well big fish...but a lot of bit fish like 120 to 430 to 750 these buys prompted me to follow close behind them, if i saw the same thing with sell offs then i would tentatively do the same. now they keep buying and its treating me well.

ummm, I all ready thought you said that about it crossing 100. or was that your hat?

something along the lines that bitcoin would never be in triple digits again and if it does then it CERTAINLY will NOT be anytime this year. and that you would eat your hat, or you would bet your house on it or something to that nature. maybe you should post that video of you and your feet for all those fetish freaks. but a promise is a promise so start washing and stretching Grin

68  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to Explode the Price of Bitcoin OVERNIGHT! on: July 30, 2013, 10:15:41 PM
When the dollar collapses, the price of bitcoin will explode overnight Smiley

Roll Eyes SMH....IF the dollar collapses, we won't have any need for Bitcoin because everyone will be broke.

Secondly, Bitcoins are not "worth" $100.  $30-$50 is still extremely high for something you can't spend.
haha your doing it wrong then if you cant spend them.

cant "spend" apple stock, cant spend stocks in general and there are thousands that are worth more than 100. also thats weird you cant spend btc cuz i keep buying shit with them, so huh...... go figure that one out. infact i keep buying things that are worth hundreds of dollars. maybe your doing it wrong bud

YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG. If you go back to the newby section there are tutorials on bitcoins and how they work and how to buy and spend them. I really feel like you would benefit from them. oh gotta go bitcoin just made me a bunch  of money  Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cool Cool Cool Cool

69  Other / Beginners & Help / with detroit claming bankruptcy and state taking half your pension, stick with B on: July 30, 2013, 06:34:27 AM
all you USA citizens that think Cyprus wont happen to you, well look at Detroit,  where they are taking everyones money that they saved over ten, twenty, 50+ years and steeling it cuz they are bankrupt. this is money that you put into a savings account over the years and next thing you know your are old and broke.  BTC is not a save all system but it is way better then trusting the gov to keep it "safe"

maybe all the people of Detroit should put some of there money in to bit coins. gove cant see it or touch it there. its like your own little off-shore account that you can keep from paying taxes on. now its not fool proof of a plan obviously if you have a large sum of money all of a suden back in your account from selling off your btc into fiat you will have to pay some sort of tax but if your savvy you can get around that with a little knowledge and research of the tax code. also btc is to new to be in much of any sort of tax laws.
70  Economy / Speculation / Re: wow, bitcoin's astro birth chart is full on! on: July 29, 2013, 02:54:24 PM
Monday, 8th July 2013

Today, a sociable & fun day, we have a new moon in Cancer, always good for fresh new starts especially in a day or two when the first sliver of it becomes visible in the sky, also Saturn is now dirrect again in Scorpio which is something we've been waiting for & was covered in the recorded Bitcoin Astro reading recently, practical plans can now move ahead. The second half of this month should be way better than the first & especially the last 10 days of the month should be quite exceptional, this in general & not specific to Bitcoin per se.

wow. so your telling me that on the eighth you predicted that the last part of this month was going to be better than the first and the last ten days would be "exceptional". well over 100 and climbing so good on ya mate!!! thats impressive!
71  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: July 29, 2013, 04:10:16 AM
it's already $100 and we have yet entered porn and gambling industry in the real world. They will push btc beyond 1000 easily. $1B marketcap is just that one instragram company worth remember?

+1

for sure, think apple, think instagram, think any large company like kraft, Monsanto, haliburtin, RioTinto, bowing, GE, there is so much money out there. Now think if bitcoin was for real main stream, not just a few tech nerds know about it and it was mentioned that one day on tv. no no think really truly main stream, think payall or visa or master-card or AmEx. you see everyone thinks this thing is main stream but we are so far from that. and baby when it goes its going to really really go, if this sort of situation happens than yes they will be worth 1,000. but just like what you are talking about, if one little photo app company can go for that much and if that kind of money went into BTC a thing that you can use as cash or just hold and save and make money off of then not only 1,000 but 10,000 for sure. the trick will be to buy .0001 satashis. imagine all the little million dollar companies out in the world not just america but in china and india and middle east ballywood hollywood all that money. and if you have a system that limits how many bitcoins are going to be produced and has an end date. then yes it will just exponentially go up.
72  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market has peaked, sell off incoming. on: July 28, 2013, 10:12:42 PM
ya weeeeeks to recover. er i mean it will be over 100 on sunday. bahaha. lame!!!!  i see it going to 105 by tomorrow morning. we usually see a buy late Sunday in the us. so morning in china and japan? thats about right....or maybe morning in Europe.
73  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying pressure stacks up. on: July 28, 2013, 10:04:13 PM
wellll, since most of the money and coins and activity are there, most businesses use this as a reference to what the value of a coin is. not that i agree with this. i wish it went of a system that averaged the exchanges. but a lot of businesses use that too. like coinbase. they are taking the average to come op with how much it is to buy and sell. right now its 94.82 per bit to buy on there. to sell its ...oh scratch that just changed 95.42 to buy and 94.76 to sell. ok so hooray we are pushing the price up even on coinbase. better?
74  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITSTAMP eXchange wall Observer. second biggest and best exchange on: July 28, 2013, 06:45:51 PM
still holding at 8 usd below gox. stamp should step it up and get equal, its killen my sell on coinbase. then again it is helping keep the buy low and i could get some some what cheep coins if we are on a up trend.
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying pressure stacks up. on: July 28, 2013, 06:38:56 PM
past 100 in ten minutes Grin damn look at all those big buys that just went threw.

nope spoke to soon. jinxed it.  Embarrassed

still that 100 buy wall was huge two days ago, like 2.4m not that that all got bought up some did move but now its quite small. about 280k will do the trick. any whales want to go halvsys, like two of you whales, no me haha if only..... if only Smiley

usually Sunday night late we see a big push upwards, did it come early or is there going to be another big push up. if there was i predict just under 105 with the current buy walls. if we push past 100 people will jump on and we could see a decent overnight gain, also a few sell orders would be taken off so I see this happening. if we see no bug sunday night push then ya we will be stuck at 98 for some time. JMO

what do you think?

Pleasant thing to wake up to. Back to sleep. Nice post IAS  Smiley
The mooooost important thing I've learned since doing this bitcoin a year and a half ago is learning to think for myself Smiley

By the way, after stumbling into astrology with yours and Otoh's threads, I looked into that Somner guy and watched a podcast of his with an A.T. Mann. For some reason I couldn't resist trying out a consultation at least once, and I chose a Life Time Reading from A.T. Mann and he summed up my life impeccably well. His theory is that we live life in a logarithmic scale and be pinpoints how I was conceived (ie how my parents felt, who chose what (I was unexpected and my parents weren't close!!!), how I grew up (very feminine household ie three sisters), etc with 100% accuracy. Things that you cannot find from Facebook etc.  I was truly astounded.  My future looks very interesting and I am quite happy I did it.

By the way Otoh did say the stars say second half of this month should be great, and not simply in regards to bitcoin

I didn't even realize AT Mann was alive as I assumed he was from a long while ago but just checked and he is only 69. That is amazing if you got a reading from him.
We should chip in and have him look at Bitcoin using Gann and Astrology? Was he expensive?

When you get a reading from an astrologer that is good/great, it can absolutely shock you. The trick is applying it to something like BTC, where the location is not even 100% knows...
http://atmann.net/aread.htm#aread
Yeah dude, I was still skeptical before. Not anymore, and that's saying a lot. I was a born skeptic, science background etc. But, as any good scientist, my curiosity was piqued and I investigated it some more Smiley I paid $200 for life time astro reading since he was willing to give me a student discount, normally $350. This is simply my anecdotal evidence, and seeing as it confirmed that there's something peculiar about the study of astrology, it warrants even more of my consideration now.

Btw, I sent in some coin to your Sommer reading because I appreciated it. I wouldn't mind seeing what Tad has to say about BTC as well, although, do you think it will be a bit redundant?

My god. You can't be serious right?

but I am. I understand that daily horoscopes are typically very generalized and vague for a reason, they by nature have to be so people will enjoy them in the papers or whatever. but this isn't about daily horoscopes you see in the papers. i later learned that it's about more than simply a sun sign written by any self-proclaimed astrologer hired by a newspaper

the long, old history of esotericism is what interested me, because I'm an avid reader and I appreciate the arts, I see a lot of esotericism influence in those things, so i just wanted to understand mythology. So then i looked into the theory of (as above, so below), thought it was a neat idea, then I had a looksee at my natal charts ( http://www.chaosastrology.net/freeastrologyreports.cfm ----try it, why not), saw that there were strict mechanics into star reading, and it was quite accurate without being overly general. Pretty good for a scripted program. So then eventually I decided to put it to a small test with a professional astrology consultation, which was exact and specific. For a reason, it blew my mind and paradigm. Y'know, I take things for what they are. It has yet to be contradictory to me. At the very least, the perspective astrology uses is a very very neat way to look at things. There are some things in this world that aren't absolute.

Quote
At the moment I am looking into astrology, which seems indispensable for a proper understanding of mythology.  There are strange and wondrous things in these lands of darkness.  Please, don't worry about my wanderings in these infinitudes.  I shall return laden with rich booty for our knowledge of the human psyche.  ~Carl Jung

good for you man, that is cool that you can look at it with a skeptical mind and still have an outcome that is paradigm shifting.

http://chaco.malpurposed.net/astronomy.html

look at this, a tad off subject but the point is that if there is a whole civilization and for eons we have had this thing called astrology affecting our world and we are immersed in it then if the people of ancient civilizations new something and we just pass it off as it is nothing then there might be something we are all missing. there is a lot of info about chaco canyon and the ruins there and a little investigation would interest you.

79  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: who else thinks that coinbase fees are WAY to HIGH? on: July 24, 2013, 12:07:51 AM
yes and i think its to much. if it was that much on exchanges it would be ridiculous. i know its not an exchange. i know its 1% and i just think taking ten bucks out of my money to buy ten coins and another ten to sell ten coins is tough man. 20 bucks for a bot to transfer. and only recently it has been instant. but you got to do a lot to get that instant. they still have not verified me. dont know why. I have done everything they have asked. just saying that its to much.

ATM 1% people would flip.

but if your fine with paying that then thats cool. no big. I would rather pay less. keep MY money.
80  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you agree (serious poll)? on: July 23, 2013, 11:20:00 PM
yes, to some degree. I wish i could honestly say that I dont but ya a part of me keeps some BTC on hand "just in case". but on a more realistic view I do see a rise in value in the mid term (two months-ish) up a mild bit in the short. and the long. I think it could go to 500+ but if we get to 150 ill get out. we will see a huge dip after we hit 150.

I think the other part of it is that people bought in higher, say 150 to 230 (or for those sorry folks that got in right before the crash) and are just waiting to break even than jump ship.

so ya its part of the reason and also to hold to break even. but those two combined is still only half, if that.

I think that people buy to actually fucking use them. imagine that! its like a stock that you can make money on (or loose) AND you can use that stock and buy things with it. WHAT THE WHAT!?!?!?  you mean I could spend these like I can with paper money!?!?! aughhh im loosing my mind!!! now if only they were tax free...oh that would be the ultim.....  Shocked      no way! shut up! your fing with me. to bad they can trace what yo.........huh (BANGS HEAD ON DESK REPEATEDLY) well now i know your full of it cuz if such a thing existed then everyone on earth that had a computer would buy them.
