61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EVERY SINGLE COIN is down!! on: November 30, 2017, 07:27:22 PM
i have been experiencing this altcoins crumbling down twice. i guess you a newbie to crypto currency as i am because many has mention on the previous comments that it happened many times. i consider this situation is a right time to accumulate more coins in a lower price, then we just have to wait until they recover to get some profits

I think this is the second time that it happened in 24 hours. Most probably there are people who is trying to pull the price of the coins down. But personally What I am seeing here is that the price of all the alt coins are now being based on Bitcoin.

Before when Bitcoin's price is going down other an altcoins are going green but after the Bitcoin crossed the $10,000 level altcoins are going with bitcoin's price. Does that mean that people are converting it to fiat directly and not to an alt coin?
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: None of you are financial experts, it's scary on: November 30, 2017, 06:51:09 PM
1.) The US government starts to regulate it? Or ban it? (GASP!)

United States is not the only country in the world, they claim to be the number one country but most of the people don't believe it anymore. Of course US will eventually ban bitcoin because they will be the first country who will be affected if bitcoin is widely accepted.

2.) Another exchange is found to be a fraud?

How many Banks are fraud? Bitcoin owners can split their coins to multiple exchanges without IDs required.

3.) A bank or government created it's own cryptocurrency that's legal and trusted?

When a government created their own crypto currency how will it be accepted worldwide?  It will just be a digital fiat of that country, are they willing to give up their fiat currency for it? I doubt it!

4.) Bitcoin has trouble scaling and it take days or weeks for transactions to process?

You always have an option to go with the higher transaction fees.

5.) Mining is no long feasible or profitable?

Mining will always be profitable, people who are claiming that mining is already dead are those who are either avoiding to have more competition or who are not really into mining bitcoin. If you really know economics you should know how mining will be profitable until the end.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can any government ban Bitcoin? on: November 30, 2017, 06:39:25 PM
Bitcoin has been around the borders of financial markets for less than a decade, but is slowly gaining importance as an alternative asset class.
Can the government of any major country step in and do the unlikely?

Of course governments can ban bitcoin, in fact there are several countries where bitcoin is totally banned and was declared illegal.

64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dumping!! on: November 30, 2017, 06:30:57 PM
How is the current price of $9000 a dump? We were only at around $6000 a month ago from now. We just recently peaked at about $11,500 just days ago. A price correction was very expected. Do you really expect a certain cryptocurrency, stock, or asset in general to go up forever?

Sell now and buy 2, 3, 4, 5 times as many coins when its cheaper
The question is, will it go cheaper than it's current price? Nothing is guaranteed.

That is the problem with people when the price goes down for more than a thousand they will panic and say that there is a dump happening, they don't realize how fast the bitcoin reach that amount. Trading stocks are gaining an average of 12%-30% per YEAR and bitcoin gained more than 900% in less than a year so how can we say that the price is already dumping where in fact it never went back to it's price a year ago.

Most people are seeing bitcoin just as an investment and whenever the price is going down instead of hodling the coins and wait until the price recovers they would rather sell it to cut their losses, because of this practice bitcoin's price is getting too unstable. Just trust Bitcoin and see what will happen.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the Bitcoin Bubble Will Pop on: November 30, 2017, 04:05:54 PM
I am not an expert but I saw this video, and I wanted to ask your opinion on this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyoABcfdyAA

Hackers have never been breached Bitcoin itself and what happened to Mt. Gox exchange before is an isolated case but we can't take it for granted though, it may happen to some other big Bitcoin exchanges in the future but in my opinion it's less likely to happen again because the security of cryptocurrency exchanges right now are heighten after that event. For as long as Bitcoin remain unhackable and reliable in sending transactions it will last and no Bitcoin Bubble will pop.

67  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-29-11] $11,000 ‘Cripple Coin’: Roger Ver’s Bitcoin Criticism... on: November 29, 2017, 08:51:02 PM
Quote
Bitcoin.com owner and Bitcoin Cash proponent Roger Ver has called Bitcoin ‘cripple coin’ despite prices rising over $11,000.

In comments on the r/BTC subreddit celebrating 50,000 transactions on cryptocurrency gambling site SatoshiDice, Ver defied optimism about Bitcoin’s 1,500% annual growth.

“As cripple coin is passing $10,000 SatoshiDice is about to surpass 50,000 on chain transactions with Bitcoin Cash!” he announced.

Ver has become increasingly outspoken on Bitcoin’s flaws since Bitcoin Cash (BCH) came into being in August. Despite erratic price and mining behavior, the entrepreneur formerly known as ‘Bitcoin Jesus’ has publicly divested himself of large amounts of BTC holdings in favor of the alternative chain.

I really don't know where Roger Ver is getting his sentiments and confidence in saying that Bitcoin is a 'cripple coin'. He keeps on telling negative things to Bitcoin despite of its positive growth while promoting his Bitcoin Cash. Why can't he just talk about Bitcoin Cash without attacking Bitcoin in his statements, once and for all he was a prominent supporter of Bitcoin back then, no doubt that he invested a big amount of his assets and pride with BCH.

68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THE RISE OF BITCOIN THROUGHOUT 2017 on: November 29, 2017, 06:03:41 PM
It seems that the law of supply and demand is now happening in the market of Bitcoin and more people are getting confident now in investing with it, but again everything can happen in an instant and I really hope that the momentum is always on the positive side because I put a good amount of my money and time with this cryptocurrency.

I witnessed the price hike of Bitcoin since October of last year when the price of it is only $630+ and I feel like I am dreaming now seeing those 5 digits.

How did you lock your account ?  Roll Eyes
Did you deliberately tried setting your password using the secret question ? I don/t know how long does that take to get unlocked. You could have just provided the signed messages and asked a DT member to leave negative feedback until the account was successfully under your control.

The Bitcoin Forum Team locked his account and not him, they asked him if he did the changing of password and email address with the specific IP address then if not they will lock his account if he visit the given URL link.

My Member account "

70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Turkish kidnapping gang targeted a businessman for $3.5 million bitcoins. on: November 29, 2017, 01:32:09 PM
You must not brag about your wealth in social media at any forms of money whether it's a Bitcoin or a FIAT money, I am not tolerating the kidnappers though but it is the victim's fault in showing off of his lifestyle in social media by his Bitcoins, it's just like he's provoking the criminals to do something bad and that's why he has been targeted by this extortionists, good thing that he is alive and well after he gives up his Bitcoins.

71  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-29] Elon Musk addressees the rumors - I Am Not Bitcoin Inventor Satoshi on: November 29, 2017, 11:30:44 AM
It's all about advertisement I guess that's why media are riding the issues that Elon Musk was the Bitcoin creator because we all know that Elon is a co-chairmain of OpenAI and a smart guy too when it comes to Artificial Intelligence and that is the trend for modern technology right now. it is more believe-able that Andreas M. Antonopoulos is the creator of the first cryptocurrency as he's so knowledgeable about it and capable of answering almost all of the different questions regarding with Bitcoin.

72  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin 10.000$!!!! What's Next? on: November 28, 2017, 07:05:02 PM
"What if hedge funds buy bitcoin as an investment?"
"What if investors use bitcoin as a store of value?"
"What if bitcoin is used primarily as a currency?"
Bitcoin is not yet used primarly as a currency, and not much investors use bitcoin as a store of value. But in the actual market, the exchange boost the bitcoin price to the moon with new records every day. What's next with this crypto madness?  Can we still discuss bitcoin as a Bubble?

Share your ideas about Bitcoin in the actual Market.

Everything can happen in the future of Bitcoin but one thing is for sure now it is not a bubble, it is going up and up like there is no tomorrow, this is the first time in the history of Bitcoin that it increased for more than $4,000 in just 1 month.

For some people that still think that it is a bubble then let them be but the bubble that they are saying is going bigger that I think will go stronger and popping it will become impossible.

I see Bitcoin now as an asset that has a capability of appreciation over time and spending it like a digital currency on a daily basis is not a choice for me. Hodl your Bitcoins!.
73  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-11-28] Bitcoin Price Hits $10,000 on: November 28, 2017, 05:13:50 PM
Quote
Bitcoin has finally surmounted the greatest psychological barrier of all, passing $10,000 and showing no signs of stopping. Following a week of consolidating at all-time high levels around $8,000, Bitcoin found the strength to move up powerfully over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Black Friday saw the currency hit new highs in the upper $8,000s before surmounting the $9,000 level Saturday and immediately charging toward the $10,000 mark Sunday. These price increase come on unusually high volume, with fear of missing out (FOMO) bringing new investors in rapidly.

Bitcoin has had a stunning year, by anyone’s accounting. Having started the year at just under $1,000, the price jump to over $10,000 represents some incredible changes. This growth is not a flash-in-the-pan either, but is supported by growing mainstream adoption and massive trading volume. In just the past 24 hours Bitcoin’s trading volume has exceeded $5 bln. See more.

Bitcoin is a fraud no more. It is just like what happened last year as Bitcoin started to pump in price when the month of December is coming, maybe because many people are getting their 13th month salaries and starting to put some of their moneys on Bitcoin and that's just only one reason as there is so many reasons behind this price hike.

74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can any government ban Bitcoin? on: November 27, 2017, 09:12:40 PM
Bitcoin has been around the borders of financial markets for less than a decade, but is slowly gaining importance as an alternative asset class.
Can the government of any major country step in and do the unlikely?

Any country in the world can ban Bitcoin in their jurisdiction but they can't really stop their citizens as there is so many ways to access Bitcoin if the people insist in using it.

I don't see any reason for any government in the world to ban Bitcoin because it's not an illegal type of digital money even though bad people can do different kinds of cyber crime with it but that's not a valid reason for me as FIAT money can be use too in making bad activities.

Plagiarism is not tolerated by the moderators in this forum so retrieving your old account is mere impossible at least you knew and admitted that you did it, it will help to lessen your frustration, you made a new account and with that you must not do that kind of things again.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction fees.. on: November 27, 2017, 06:33:15 AM
Hi, Do you think is tehre any interest to reduce the transaction fees for bitcoin? Many alts are focusing on speed and low fees while bitcoin has made little effort.

Of course there is, Bitcoin developers really want to make transaction fees to become low again and that's the main purpose of having a Segwit, Segwit2x and eventually Lightning network. Bitcoin is having a big number of transactions per day compare with those Altcoins that's why the transaction fees is going up too.
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you still think BTC will never reach $50,000 ... on: November 26, 2017, 06:11:50 PM
Since I witnessed the price growth of Bitcoin reaching the $1,000 mark again in the very first month of this year I started to believe that's the great time to invest my money with it, Bitcoin never wronged my decision and it so near now to $10,000 mark, I hope that it will reach 6 digits soon and my prediction that it will happen in year 2020.

78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Re bitcoin can be hacked on: November 25, 2017, 08:07:04 PM
There's a lot of intelligent individuals especially hackers now a days. For me, I think bitcoin assures the security of their users so they come up of having paper wallet etc. So in our part maybe we should think a strongest password and make sure to always logout and dont share personal info:) to prevent this kind of event.

Bitcoin itself have never been hacked, maybe that's the reason why the price of it reaches $8637 while I am typing this. Hackers can do hack Bitcoin exchanges just like what happen to Mt.Gox because it is centralized, they can also get Bitcoin wallets by spreading different kinds of malware in the Internet and those gullible Bitcoin users will leak their own personal information without noticing so everything is hack-able for hackers if we don't take safety measures in securing our very own Bitcoins.
79  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-25] Mark Cuban: Only invest in bitcoin if you're prepared to lose on: November 25, 2017, 07:40:49 PM
We can't blame Mark Cuban's perspective with Bitcoin as the price of it is really increasing drastically that's why they are so scared to make an investment with it because they believe that it is still a bubble that burst anytime soon. Bitcoin is making a history and we are all witnessing it so no matter what this rich guys express about their opinions Bitcoin will still grow in the future.

80  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are heading $9,000 next week? on: November 25, 2017, 06:36:02 PM
What'd you think people? Bitcoin now has reached new ATH or it can surpass $9,000 and already heading to $10,000 that quick?

I really don't know what is the real reason behind the price increase of Bitcoin but the $10,000 mark before the year ends is not impossible if this trend in the market will still continue.

One thing is for sure now, Bitcoin's potential is growing and many new people are getting into it, some of the well known Altcoins too are on a positive growth. Despite of the bad issues that is thrown to Bitcoin within the last few months it's just like what doesn't kill you make you stronger.
