61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: December 28, 2016, 02:52:30 PM
Dwarfpool on the mission to destroy Monero? Bitcoin currently has the biggest mining pools. Any cryptocurrency that endangers Bitcoin will probably get a major pool to invade that said currency, take it over and... disrupt it.

God I love cryptocurrencies, always exciting!

Thank you all those, and in particular Crazyivan, who keep calling everyone trolls only because they have some sort of critical views, opinions or feedback on the project or different expectations related to the price.

Your direct or indirect actions have caused the price to rise, allowing some trapped whales to get out of the ship. Cheers. Gl.

ps: I still love factom

m2 still not out yet?

64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: November 14, 2016, 07:43:53 PM
Thanks for the clear and quick communication towards the community.

One of the few projects that is on the right track. Don't be surprised to see the price climb higher in the upcoming weeks due to other alts stagnating and users finding out about STRATIS for the first time.

15 Million cap should be doable.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: October 30, 2016, 08:36:06 AM
If you couldn't get out of Factom yesterday, consider it today with minimal loses. You where all warned before the crash, this will be your second chance before it drops off the cliffs again.

Good luck.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: October 29, 2016, 02:14:49 PM
A lot of people where warned about this. But whenever anyone here provides a view that goes against the majority you're made out as a troll.

Bitcoin only went up around 10% and everything crashes with +30%? Then it's not just Bitcoin.

I doubt the price will recover for a long time as users will try to quickly scramble to get out of Factom with minimal loses when the price goes up again. Hope the loses where minimal for everyone though, sucks to lose money.

We re getting close to 4.5 million transactions, we ll reach that number probably tomorrow. With every new day, the corner gets closer and closer.

Which corner you referring to exactly?

Chairman of the board - David Johnston. This mofo just stole my Bitcoins with his API-coin project (see: http://www.buyxap.com/ and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=650221.0). He never accounted for any of the funds that he collected. Never developed anything, never gave any updates. Just traveled around the world acting as if he's the big crypto-pioneer. He just stole those BTC's from his investors. Wish cointelegraph or coindesk would dig into that story.

This guy is just a con artist.

This is concerning. Could you please elaborate more? Via PM is also possible.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: October 07, 2016, 11:41:19 AM
Too bad the price is falling again. Guess the so-called troll ''Grossbit'' was right once again. Just because someone has a different perspective on things doesn't make himself a troll btw.

Good luck with trading.

This place is a serious mess. There's even two sides, and both aren't able to communicate rationally between each other.

71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: October 04, 2016, 09:37:39 PM
The news is real.

If you where thinking about selling your coins, but the market dropped too low... now is your chance to get out before it continue's its decline.

Everyone will have forgotten about this news in 2 days.

72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Augur - a decentralized prediction market platform on: October 03, 2016, 07:18:58 PM
For some reason Augur reminds me of Enron and the energy crisis.

73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: October 01, 2016, 04:48:10 PM

the value of a blockchain is not defined by the size of its GitHub.

I wanna see clients buying Factoids. I want Factom to say
"Company X promised to publish hashes regarding its (...) in Y amounts of data every year, and will be buying Z USD worth of entry credits."

We don't see any such announcements, because they don't exist.
All i see is that according to FACTOM CEO's himself, is that there are 3,500,000 cumulated entries in Factom,
and if my math is correct, you need 3,500,000 EC at $0.001 a piece, and they earnt a formidable 35,000 USD with that...

They'd better to find clients quick, else, people will start to think that after all, Factoids are way too expensive.

Actually the only profit that FACTOM ever made, probably was by dumping as much FCT they could on both the way up to 0.0065 and then down to here....

This is the correct post. I became skeptical when the interview came out with a Bitcoin radio channel, about Factom. Check the video, it's a few weeks old and notice Factoms CEO react to questions. Pay attention to his body language. Hint: His body language closes when hes asked critical questions such as if they have any new partnerships lined up.

This is a great project, but the revenues are so low it's.. lower than the profit you can make with one month crypto trading lol. Nonetheless this is interesting and sad to watch, as every time users come up with new excuses to try and keep the moral up high :/

We'll see where this ends.

74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: October 01, 2016, 03:38:25 PM
The hype is over. The price was pumped on promises that weren't met, and now it will decent to it's reality. The company hasn't generated any profitable amount of money on potential contracts with companies. They have however with selling their coins lol.

This isn't just a whale dumping. Look at the chart, it's been going down since 12 September. It's 1 October now.

I call 0.0022 the bottom.

Stay in, stay out, do whatever you want. Good luck though.

Like I said.

See this dump as a warning sign to get out now with some minimal loses.
FCT is a great project but a big correction is due, and I doubt it will hit 0.44'ish within a year.

76  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Starting a Bitcoin and Crypto Exchange like Poloniex on: September 27, 2016, 10:11:14 AM
With 1000BTC I think you might be able to buy one that is already established. There is one exchange with a amazing UI, built by a legit team, but they lack the knowledge on how to promote their website effectively. Thus after releasing their exchange it has never been a real success (nearly no one knows about the exchange).

Hit me up and I'll link you to them.

77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: September 13, 2016, 08:11:31 PM
Factom is a great project but the 11 companies or something, that currently use Factom barely generate any money... It's only hype this point onward.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: September 10, 2016, 05:51:37 PM
Looks like the price decline has begun for Factom.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: September 04, 2016, 02:41:31 PM
Someone is spreading rumours in the polo trollbox that factom is bankrupt. That doesn't really help our cause. Can we have a factom representative point out they've just raised 6 million in funding and are doing fine?

Haha that's hilarious, the troll-box never ceases to amaze me.

But then again it could explain the major 500+BTC sell offs....

Ahh, I doubt it's real and only a rumor used to spread FUD.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: August 31, 2016, 06:13:48 PM
That theory doesn't make much sense, as if you buy back 500 bitcoin now it will take the price well beyond where he/she sold it for. I think its just someone who bought a lot in the 20's and now is taking profit. The 700btc dump took place at a similar level. Anyway, I'm hoping for some news on factom's birthday tomorrow....
They are selling a tremendous amount of coins to themselves on the way down.

It's pretty simple really.  Well, it's more complicated than this, but this is the basics of it.

1.  How many coins (X) to dump the price to (Y).
2.  How many of those buy orders are mine.
3.  Difference between price to dump to (Y) and how many of those coins are mine is how many coins you expect to lose by dumping (A).
4.  How many coins will be sold via stop order or panic that you can gobble up (Z).

If Z > A dump away.

Thank you for taking your time to explain it. It sums it up well.

Someone with the capability to invest with large amounts of money should be capable of knowing that when they dump a large order on the market, it will cut in their profits as well. Selling a big chunk in one load will lower the entire price, which means you will also get less for the coins that you are selling. Therefor you sell it slowly in small chunks.

This wasn't the case, this person tried to cause panic and sold everything at once. This decision led to the seller missing out on a few thousand dollars, because if they slowly sold their coins, they would have received a higher price for their coins. But instead he had the chance to try and start a panic reaction on the market, which didn't seem to happen.
