Why dox, when you can get them fired for unprofessional and illegal activities Wink

Do you think they don't know these standards? How naive.

They did it out of pure greed. They've invaded the privacy of an individual which clearly wanted to be left alone. They've deliberately divulged most private details (health status among others) of the person like being proud of the harassment they cause.

>>> Leah McGrath Horseface Goodman and all other people involved in this harassment clearly deserve a full dox, so they may learn from experience.

ya.ya.yo!

Oh I know the of the greed of Man, and the depths he will go to satisfy it.
....but rarely is Man stupid enough to try it when the passage is laden with obvious traps and corpse. And a weapon to his temple.

[This should be obvious...but this is a metaphor. If you have to sink to physical violence you either have no other option for escape or are a fool]

Now obviously, the whole traps and weapon is analogous to the very real potential of having your personal life destroyed. And the corpses are those who were 'Doxxed' before you for pulling equally stupid stunts in an attempt to "get ahead".

Why, some may ask, is this 'Street Justice' necessary?
....because these "reporters" (aka paparazzi) will never learn; no matter how many fines are levied against them.

What comes around goes around. Nothing we do or say here will protect her from a doxxing. Almost feel sorry for her...

Nothing but harm will come of this. Such a shame.

Frankly, it's not a shame.

She could have easily avoided this by conducting a professional interview, where "my people will call your people" and setup an interview. And you will have full control over what is released.

But no, she went paparazzi and tracked down a man she "thinks" is Him. The only reason these people get away with it for Celebs is because most of this information is already public knowledge, and the person is well-known.

In this case, a person's life has been ruined.

...all for page views.

Well, I say, fine...if you want page views, we will give you page views. [We will] let the world know who you are; I'm sure they just want to say Hi.
....just as you did this person of little notoriety ("he's" notoriety is in the name; not in the face...or was). We should do the same for you

Why dox, when you can get them fired for unprofessional and illegal activities Wink

Her boss and the legal team at Newsweek definitely approved of this article before it was released. They aren't going to fire her for shit.

They will if the Corporate HQ for the US is in a state with such laws. Either that or they risk a lawsuit...and yes, I pretty sure he won't, but if their legal team says they're at risk. They'll want to minimize that as much as possible.

EDIT:

I doubt people will listen to this...but.

Please do not Dox her in the sense of releasing all the information you can find.

Release only the information type she released of this man.
--This means you release photos of the house she lives at, license plate (think that was there). You essentially are mirroring exactly what she posted...only with her name.
...I would not be surprised if she turned around and cried foul Wink

I like this part of that link:

Why would we have to raise funds for someone that over $400 million in Bitcoins?

He can afford a tank, chopper, and a small militia for that amount.

No, he can't because if he uses even one of those BTC (if it is really him) then he will make things clear that he is Satoshi.

But if he is Satoshi, which looks very possible, he can figure out a way to do it anonymously(he is Satoshi for God's sake) without bringing attention to himself.

The guy (if it's him) created the dang protocol and is a cryptographic genius, but can't send a payment without detection???

Believe me, if it were him, he'd figure it out.

...and what if he's not. What if he's just another "foreign-looking" guy, but people think he's 'The One'.

    People need to realize this.

I'm not condoning donations or such, but I really wish people would think outside the box and understand that if a person is believed to be someone they will be harassed or even murdered.

Any recommendations on a power supply?

You'll want a second opinion on this.

But it'll definitely have to be a supply that outputs at 5 volt; anymore and you'll be investing in a fire extinguisher Tongue
--So you'll want one with more Amps.

You'll also need to match the polarity of the plug end going into the USB Hub; see above's additional investment if you don't

As for which to look for...I'm not sure if a 3rd party PSU can be used with 'commercial' USB Hub.

I just removed the two block erupter usb sticks and now the antminers are working as expected.

    This is the power supply: Input 100-240v. 50-60Hz. Output 5V -- 2500MA. Model: SAW-0502500

Looks like not enough power. That's only 12.5 Watt output.

That's the USB hub I'm using.

Figure that I'm a noon and you need to help me remove or add stuff to my config.

I believe The AntMiners use the same Watts as Erupters (~2.5 watts). Does the AC Adapter say it'll do more than ~18 Watts?

for 5 ants and 2 erupters I would be looking for at least 26 watts at the Wall (even better with 30 watts)
the losses in the hub (as heat) could exceed 1/3 of the total available.

usb3 hubs with 9 or 10 erupters and 12v 4a (48watt) PSU soon fail. Many have been replaced with 60 watt units.

    Yep, went with http://www.amazon.com/Charging-Adapter-VL812-B2-Chipset-Firmware/dp/B005NGQWL2

    Specifically to avoid premature failure.

As for DBC's issue. I would pull the Ants that are hashing at the expected rate and see if the other two 'pick up speed'. If so, then it's a power issue. If not, then they may be defective.

Unless you got one of the very few Block Erupter Emerald sample devices (never sold), you shouldn't be seeing BEE... just BES.

All of the Erupters were the ones sold by BTC Guild.

BFGminer sees them as just about everyone ASIC out there.

I've seen them detected as: ICA, BEE, BES, ECM, and even AMU a few times. And it's never all of them, usually 1 to 4 for each with no more than 4 ASIC 'types' at a time.

Probably an issue with the Linux USB driver, that confuses BFGminer as to what's actually attached.
    71  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.10.0: modular ASIC+FPGA, GBT+Strtm, RPC, Mac/Lnx/W64, AntU1, DRB, HFA on: February 08, 2014, 08:18:01 PM

Should be the other way around... They should all be BEE and work.

    HA!

    Code:
    -S icarus:all

Now all my Block Erupters are hashing. Sadly, with a ~15% HW error rate. But that's better than 7 to 9 of them not even submitting. And the BFL is also hashing away. Cheesy
    72  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.10.0: modular ASIC+FPGA, GBT+Strtm, RPC, Mac/Lnx/W64, AntU1, DRB, HFA on: February 07, 2014, 01:00:30 AM

Still leaves the issue that most of the Erupters won't submit any hashes.

    I'm looking at this...

    http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff265/Simulo/bfgminer-3.jpg

Check out all the non-ICA, non-BFL miners.

....it shouldn't do that. If I get them as ICAs then they work...slightly higher HW rate than I'd like (above 15%) for the Host they're on (if it was PC it'd be below 2%).
    73  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.10.0: modular ASIC+FPGA, GBT+Strtm, RPC, Mac/Lnx/W64, AntU1, DRB, HFA on: February 06, 2014, 06:49:42 PM
    -and-

If I use -S erupter:all then the BFL unit fails to run. It does run if I don't use an "-S". But then only the BFL unit is detected and hashing. I then have to go M+ and 'all', because for whatever reason after about 9 'erupter:/dev/ttyUSB##' I get nothing but "No device found".

...which then leads back to the issue of BFGminer throwing drivers at the Erupters to see which ones stick.
And it's been roughly 9hrs and 11 of the 18 Erupters have failed to submit anything (no A or R), just 100% HW.
--It's always 11. And it can be any of the 18, so no, they are not going bad. Remember, this all works just fine all 19 Units hashing away on Windows.

And because I was getting pissed off and exhausted (woohoo, up til ~3AM), at Linux (because BFGminer works flawlessly on Windows), I didn't do the proper thing and actually list what I'm using.

OS: Debian Wheezy with LXDE and xRDP
    Controller/Host: BeagleBone Black
    Miners: (1) BFL Jalapeno 7GH; (18) Block Erupter 330 MHz/ea
Updates: Updated as of Feb. 3rd, 2014 using sudo apt-get
    74  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.10.0: modular ASIC+FPGA, GBT+Strtm, RPC, Mac/Lnx/W64, AntU1, DRB, HFA on: February 06, 2014, 07:21:48 AM
Is it possible to force BFGMiner to load ONLY the Icarus driver. Like "-S erupter:all" loads only the Block Erupter (BEE) driver?

Okay, I had to restart my miner because I wasn't going to be around to watch it. Now I can't get BFGminer 3.09 -or- 3.10 to see my Block Erupters correctly...normally this happens (second screen shot) and I just keep 'q'-ing and restarting BFGminer until it sees them all properly. But after about 30 god damn minutes of it not working...I'm back.

Because currently this is what it looks like when I use: sudo ./bfgminer/bfgminer -o [redacted] -u [redacted] -p [redacted] -S -all --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --icarus-timing 3.0=100

    http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff265/Simulo/bfgminer-1.jpg

Next when I use the command sequence: M and then + followed by all

    I get this...

    http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff265/Simulo/bfgminer-2.jpg

WTF?!? Why is it only detecting 7 of them as ICA, 8 of them as BEE, and 3 of them as ECM

    I used this guide: https://www.btcguild.com/index.php?page=support&section=blockerupter

It's worked fine and sometimes I can get BFGminer to detect all the Block Erupters as ICA.

Now, you might think it's not a big deal....

10 of the Erupters have failed to submit (no A, R, or HW) anything for the past 10 minutes on a Share Difficulty of 4. The ICAs are sitting at 5 or more submissions and one of the BEE is sitting at 9.

I should note that on Windows this does not happen at all. It's all:

    BFL
    ICA
    ICA
    ICA
    etc, etc

And hashes away. And all is right with the world. But running a system that requires ~100W (hurray for Pentium Ds) just to sit at the desktop is a bit ridiculous.

    EDIT

And if there is. What would it look like if one wanted to put it into a conf file. I haven't found a BFGminer  config file example that actually has the device switches (ie erupter: /dev/ttyUSB##). Just the typical stuff for pools and fail overs. And the occasional GPU conf example
    75  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.10.0: modular ASIC+FPGA, GBT+Strtm, RPC, Mac/Lnx/W64, AntU1, DRB, HFA on: January 30, 2014, 03:42:11 PM

you can specify com ports, or if you wanted you could also just run a seperate instance of antminer for the bfl and for the antminers. I find that works best in alot of instances (of course I even seperate individual ants that perform better to give them the 2.1gh clock speed etc lol) I have found bfgminer to be a champ with multiple instances, wherein cgminer simply crashed alot or created conflicts in most multiple instance scenarios.

Oh shoot. Does BEE relate to Antminers? I thought it was the Block Erupters.

I can confirm that running multiple instance of BFGminer is very doable and stable... I have seperated my BEs from my ANTs (AMU) and BFL... now the BE's are actually submitting hashes since they are only running difficulty 4, when I had them mixed in with the other mining units and I was running difficulty 16, they were always taking too long to process and would submit stale shares

The problem still exists that some of the Erupters won't activate (steady green light) and a 'No Device Found' "error" is thrown when you try and manually add them from within BFGminer.

    But they are all found using: sudo ./bfgminer/bfgminer -o [redacted] -u [redacted] -p [redacted] -S -all --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --icarus-timing 3.0=100

Then BFGminer only sees the BFL unit. But going "M" -> "+" -> and typing 'all'

Adds the Erupters, usually ICA 0 to ICA 14 and then BEE 0 to BEE 2. For a total of 18 Erupters. Sometimes it does apply 'AMU' to at least one of them.

*Note: I used the Linux step, obviously, here: https://www.btcguild.com/index.php?page=support&section=blockerupter

does it find your your BFL?

Yes, but because it's loading the Erupter driver (I assume) the BFL spits out a temperature string error and never begins hashing. I've also noticed that usually 1 or 2 Erupters remain offline (steady green light) using that switch and trying to add them inside BFGminer results in me going through all the 'ls /dev/*USB*' results and still not catching them.

Running them under the ICA driver tends to get all of them seen...with, usually, 3 being seen as 'BEE'.
--running the 'all' command to add devices while in BFGminer.

    EDIT:

And it would appear that "erupter:/dev/ttyUSB##"; going the full range of 'lsusb' results, only adds 6 of the Block Erupters. The rest all result in a 'No device found'

Where you can specific the COM ports. But for this it would be the ttyUSB ports.

I can't just use the 'erupter:all' because I also have a BFL unit and it will not start.

You can specify individual devices as well:

    Code:
    bfgminer -S erupter:\\.\COM3 -o -u etc

Thanks, hopefully this'll force BFGminer to see the BFL as what ever it sees it as. And the erupters as BEEs. ....really hate that 20% HW error rate.
    78  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.10.0: modular ASIC+FPGA, GBT+Strtm, RPC, Mac/Lnx/W64, AntU1, DRB, HFA on: January 29, 2014, 11:25:06 PM
I'm trying to find information on how to add devices, using switches, but can't seem to find anything. Just how to add devices after the BFGminer is already running.

Need to manually add all my Erupters because BFGminer sees some of them as ICAs but three show up as BEEs. Sad

If you are only using erupters, then   -S erupter:all    should find them as    BES   also the addition of   --no-submit-stale      may grab you a few extra clock cycles.

Was hoping for something like that other miner-program-that-shall-not-be-named. Where you can specific the COM ports. But for this it would be the ttyUSB ports.

I can't just use the 'erupter:all' because I also have a BFL unit and it will not start.

And I pretty much have to use BEE because ICA results in about a 22% HW error rate, whereas, BEE results in about 5%. This from a mining session that lasts about 6 days. So it's pretty much screwing me over.

The alternative is to manually add all 18 erupters...by hand. Every single start up.....on Linux.
((hurrah, lsusb, and figure out which ports are which.))

steamgames, with Bitmit shutdown have you thought about moving to Coingig?

Also, I would recommend making a PDF print out of your website link (https://www.bitmit.net/user/SteamGames/?ref=3222). So people can continue to see your reputation with past dealings.  Grin
