I am just waiting for the next big dip so if it is big enough I can sell most of what I have and then buy more as it is on the way back up. I am in it for $1,000 at the moment.

The problem is, you don't know if it is the start of a dip, or the bottom.

63  Other / Beginners & Help / Is blockchain.info trustworthy? on: April 03, 2013, 03:44:23 AM
I'm considering storing my coins in an online wallet at blockchain.info. I'm totally new to bitcoin, and I'm definitely not a computer geek, so is this maybe the safest option for me?

Is it an advantage to have multiple online wallets instead of only one? Which one(s) do you recommend?

Or are we up for a correction?

Its showing high of 127 now, but already down to 123..I think there will be a correction after this crazy but awesome day.

Yes, maybe back to 100-ish?

67  Other / Beginners & Help / What are your political persuasions? on: April 03, 2013, 03:05:29 AM
Just curious to find what political views people in the bitcoin community have. I'd be surprised to find a bunch of socialists and central planners here  Tongue

I am a laissez-faire capitalist, more specifically an Objectivist.

I'm not exactly a computer geek, so I was planning to store my coins at blockchain.info (online wallet). But then I read this thread:

Are the blockchain guys trustworthy, or are there better options for me?

They announced that on April 1st...

So it's just a joke?
71  Other / Beginners & Help / Litecoin and other "competitors" on: April 03, 2013, 01:31:19 AM
Why does it increase in value? I read that MtGox.com will start trading LTC this month. Is this true? If so, why? What is the use of Litecoin and other copycat P2P currencies when we already have bitcoin?
