I could be wrong but I think he dumped because of the current price level. I think he wanted more of a price swing in a shorter MOUNT OF TIME. aGAIN i MAY BE WRONG.
I think thats exactly what happened. A lot of the new coins come out and have just a ton of BS and hype to go with them. Mega was released right in the middle of the hazzard coins, did not get much love. As I said before, organic growth is just that. Natural. No chocolate covered turds sprinkled with crushed nuts with a spritz of perfume to hide that down under the hood its still a turd. Some people want Instant growth, a skyrocket to the moon and a quick buck. Mega is a long run coin. |

Hehe, I'm not selling or buying - just mining. As I do with every alt that I'm not entirely sure about, but still find something that I like about.
I'm not 100% convinced of the long term prospects, but who knows.
Yea I hear what your saying, in the same frame. People didnt think bitcoin was anything and there was quite a bit of hate when litecoin came out. My goodness what a difference a couple years makes. |

Well, as a newcomer to this coin (that at least likes the design); explain to me what the unique potential of this coin is? Who is Kimoto and what makes him more special than say, the Litecoin devs that are spending tens of thousands of dollars on building something great, or heck - the bitcoin devs?
Like I said, I fell for the good looks - now I want to know more about the inside. But there are no details. No marketing plan, no technical data about what makes MEC better in any way shape or form. Just Kimoto talking about gravity wells and being a comedian.
I want to believe, but just like the biblical god, you're not giving me any logical reasons to.
Obviously you didnt read the whole thread. You would have known by now that Kimoto is the ONLY dev that has managed to bring the most recent and updated bitcoin source-code to a scrypt coin. All the dev's and all their "tens of thousands" of dollars have been unable to do that. Who cares who he is. Its genius for a single dev to pull that off. Buy them now. or dont. If you have them sell them now so I can buy them and stack em.. I keep saying that MEC is a sleeper no hype no BS organic growth coin. If you dont have the patience to stack sell 10K for pizza and move along. |

only 42 million Megacoins will ever exist. if you invest heavily today, I think you might be one of the wealthiest people in the world someday. if Megacoin actually does become anonymous and untraceable, then it will be better than Bitcoin. now is an incredible buying opportunity.
I've bought all I can afford already, but wish I had more. I'm investing for the long term: I do think Megacoin will eventually be the worldwide currency everyone uses.

Seems like MEC is one of the only currencies that has maintained a stable price over the last week or so even while BTC is rising vs USD. This is a very good sign for MEC as most other Altcoins are crashing and burning - look at DGC, FST and XPM just to name a few..
Also MEC has very good buy support and a tiny amount of sellers so looks very bullish. If it was not for those pesky profit switching pools dumping every 12 hours or so I think MEC would be sitting much higher than it is now.
Yes they are pesky. But what does not kill your coin only makes it stronger. Consider it a trial by fire. It shows that the MEC can withstand the dumps of those profit switching pools. Buy some cheap MEC while you can. Get a big ole bag full of them. |

If you were really smart enough to buy "hundreds of thousands of Megacoins last week", good for you.  Thats debatable. When you divest all your interest and triple down on a coin on the hope it pays off in spades may not be wise. Besides what I mined from release Im pretty sure I have the biggest bag. I kinda feel like the goldcoin guy, perhaps if I sing a little song the price will rise. |

there is going to be a lot of people kicking themselves for selling under 1 yesterday lots of shortsigthed people out there still. MEC is still undervalued a lot. With BTC slipping in price, I dont know why many more have not converted their BTC to MEC. |
