Hi all,
Just got it touch with TheCryptoEdge, fluttercoin co-dev.
Nothing clear yet - but he told me he's interested to "further it". I'm happy to get him with us, hopefully he'll join the skype group tomorrow and discuss options with us.
Meanwhile, my little Mintpal buy order @190 sato is still unfulfilled, that's good, no more dumping, things are under control !
Let's get this thing up !
Does he know what happened to thekidcoin and why he suddenly disappeared? I believe some people rubbed him the wrong way and he might have decided to take a break but I am pretty sure he would not abandon the coin without at least saying goodbye or something. ^^This P.S I think he will come around.Just give it time  |

Hi - I was involved with fluttercoin PR the first time around. I would strongly advise not to involve TheCryptoEdge, or TheKidCoin, or the Multipool dev. It was a total distaster, with no one really wanting to help. They were more interested in dumping their coins, and didn't care about the future. TheCryptoEdge owned the @Fluttercoin twitter account, but hardly ever posted anything useful. TheKidCoin was a one-man-band who spent more time swearing at people who tried to help than developing the coin. There was no real leader, and the whole thing suffered from in-fighting. Everyone was more than happy to offer "good" ideas, but no one, and I mean NO ONE, wanted to put in their effort, time or money to make it work. A totall new, fresh team is needed, and you guys sound great, just don't involve the original crowd if you want it to work. Good luck!
+1 Finally one who dare to speak up! This is exactly why our flutter didn't fly. Having one or more of them back will only kill the coin faster. Can you please find a dev as competent as thekid to take over?.He's one of the most competent developers here.That doesn't mean I'm defending his attitude.Good things comes with bad as they say it.In his tweets he said he has a short temper.Let cut him some slack. P.S. About the price:When he was here it was ~350, look where it is now. |

I don't have sync problems thanks to ofeefee.I sent you 200flt, it's not much, but thank you! Please confirm when you get it, I sent it from mintpal. Flutter will have a great future with this enthusiastic community The coin is all about the community. |

Hi all, What's the plan for the next month ? I do not want to be mean, but there is a huge lack of communication .... i guess tkc do not like it, but someone can handle it... What about fluttercointalk ? Lack of money it seems, about to close... So sad to see this coin dying  This coin is far from dying. We are now a pretty big group behind the coin. We are just waiting on to see if kidcoin will come back or not. If he doesn't, we have devs ready to take place and lots of motivated people to do what's needed to make this coin succeed. If you want to join this group, you can. We are just looking for people with belief and a little time to put into FLT. As I said, right now, we are on hold, thekidcoin was working on lots of things, and we'll be giving him more time. Thanks to ofeefee the fork situation seems to almost be resolved now. If we don't hear anything from thekidcoin the first ordeal will be to remove PoW. If anyone has any problem with that or can help doing it express yourself. as for fluttercointalk, this is definitely not a question of money, as I tried reaching the owners all day yesterday and they are nowhere to be found. We are more than ready to pay what's needed to get the forum back up, however it seems like some people are just looking to hurt FLT. I completely agree that the proof of work needs to be removed, but POS interest also needs to be reduced to 5% yearly max not ~8-10% monthly like it is now. Unfortunately I can't help with the development, but I will donate whatever I can to the cause. Regards |

can someone give me a quick breakdown of what happened? kidcoin no longer wants to be involved?
Coin basically forked over the weekend. We pretty much have it fixed except we need verification from Kid to make sure the explorer is the correct chain. I've sent emails, twitter messages, pms and still no response yet. He posted on twitter monday so he is around just have no idea why he doesn't come here and update us all. With all the updates and everything he was working towards and the community finally starting to come together, it would be a shame if he just gave up on this coin. I think he'll come around just give it time  |

You can have performance issues as other bad nodes connect into you. This is normal until the majority of nodes resync (everyone needs to check this, if they haven't!). You can move back and forth as needed if you are trying to do something. I wouldn't try to do anything else at the moment, just hold... Bumping this back up encase there are still people out there having trouble with the wallet. That list helped me to sync. |

Can't really do anything until we hear from Kid. We could maybe pay a % like you said but the reason why they have that many blocks is b/c they were basically mining by themselves on the wrong fork the whole time.
I agree with this. Let's wait thekidcoin. |

I had lost about 100k FLT mining at the very beginning of this coins life when it went through the 3 fork troubles. Wasted a few days mining and never got any compensation for that. That's just how coins go. Do we even know if they were the ones that created the fork with all the hashrate? Even if we were to add that node like they ask, who runs the block explorer? It may be Kid that owns that so then we still couldn't do anything until we hear from him.
I don't suggest that, but what can we do now besides waiting thekidcoin? |

Last resort we can reach a compromise maybe give 10% of coins mined in the past 2 days, but again whatever the community will decide I will support it.

Am I right that they found ~615 blocks in the last 24hours? that means 12300 coins. The community needs to decide what to do next. |

What we recommend is to contact the blockexplorer admin and tell him to add the following nodes to the config file and re-download the blockchain addnode=198.204.227.115" I don't think that is going to work. I am about to write them back and tell them that, that won't work and they are making things worse. How much coins is that they mined in that period. A lot, they were down for awhile yesterday but they have like 37MH/s A lot is like 100k coins? Well I don't know. I can ask. Please ask. |

For the meeting - it is 7pm eastern time - but I guess we will have to extend it a lot if we want to reach as many person as possible !
At the moment, we are creating a skype group to speed up any communication - and anyone realy motivated to help could PM me to join.
For the meeting, I'll get back by the end of the day for the details. I'm now talking with 3-4 big players and we try to figure out the best way to handle it. I guess IRC would be an easy option (but I don't like IRC!).

I just received the coins from mintpal that I sent 3 days ago. . I don't have sync problems anymore. I'm on the 88505 block same as official explorer. |

How much is needed to keep the fluttercointalk online?.Hosting is as far as I know 3/4 $ a month cause it's not have much traffic.Dev team does not have 4$ to keep it online?I don't get it.I'll donate whatever I can if they come forward and say how much is needed to keep it online. edit: thekidcoin doesn't respond, the fork situation, and now this? 15 million...
The great dev "thekidcoin" says he have 15 million flutter, thats about 39btc current price (260) or over $23.000 and he can't donate $4 to keep this site alive, how is he going to keep this coin alive? Some times you have to give a little to gain a little. If you look at about ten to twenty last post from him its all about dissing "little" people here, not promoting the coin, its sad. p.s. I still believe in Flutter, its long way from dying. To many have invested to let that happen. But if the dev can't handle the coin he needs to find someone who can. And we really don't need this fluttertalk website, this is much better forum. We will wait for kidcoin news before to judge him. And a coin is not limited to 1 person. At the moment, a solid pack of motivated persons are gathering to bring FLT to the next level. We do hope to get TheKidCoin with us - he is a skilled and visionary dev, but if for any reason he is not still avalaible for this project, we will move on. Meanwhile, I will continue to reach "manpower" for what we have in sight. Any interested FLT enthousiast should reach us via FlutterCoinTalk (once we reopen it obv!). We have very powerful plans for this coin - both on the dev+marketting side ! But we won't "pre-hype" anything, but my advise would be : "Buy as much FLT as possible at this price!". We have a meetting June 26th - Ofeefee just confirmed me in PM he would like to attend (thanks). If others want to join, just let me know. It will be a skype or IRC meeting, OPEN to all. I agree with this, let's not jump to conclusions, besides it's summer and not everyone is sitting at the computer.Majority are on vacation I think. |
