61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM is now connecting businesses to blockchain? on: July 02, 2020, 12:29:18 PM
NEM was a good project in the past and I think it's still a good project! They don't have an advertisement like others, but they are doing their job and their time will come. I have my NEM on holding, and I can just add more to this amount I have, NEM is a great long term investment and I will stick with that!

Yep, we're still in good hands with NEM. I'm holding about 20% of my portfolio with XEM since they're doing a drop for their new XYM which is 1:1 with whatever XEM you have.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Expected price of an airdrop token if it came from a major project? on: July 02, 2020, 12:26:21 PM
people really don't trust airdrops anymore, there's really a high tendency that people will not get their hard-earned airdrop tokens if the project failed to raise funds.

64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin Analysis | 3 Coins That Could Make You 53’191% on: July 01, 2020, 08:31:14 PM
I guess you're basing this list on coins that performed + during the past week.

There are solid altcoins coming out, even some major projects are already going right at it with their 2nd token. An example is Symbol that represents an extension to the NEM ecosystem that introduces a new token(XYM) and expanded smart economy. The new token will be allocated at a 1 to 1 ratio with XEM tokens. It's more likely to follow NEM's footsteps and get to the top 100 in mcap as well.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Permissionless Blockchains fit the Business World's Needs. Do you agree? on: June 28, 2020, 02:29:28 AM
"The potential of blockchain to solve real problems in the enterprise, especially problems between businesses, is immense." Limiting this potential to the permissioned version of this technology could be inefficient from a pure business point of view, and when it comes to finality, it is simply inaccurate.

How can businesses benefit from blockchain technology and is it something that they really need during this pandemic/recession period?

67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Compound Rocket Growth on: June 18, 2020, 09:47:08 AM

Almost immediately after listing, Compound's COMP token has overtaken MKR as the largest DeFi token by market cap.

Meanwhile, the value locked in Compound has been skyrocketing, up over 200% in 2 days. If the trend continues, it will overtake MAKER to become the number 1 DeFi project by locked value, in just days.

68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Indian institute of Science helping make Blockchain for Businesses. on: June 13, 2020, 09:37:27 PM
Privacy-centric blockchain has announced that they have expanded their academic presence bringing on a new strategic research partner: the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. This global initiative now supports 3 university partners to further accelerate academic research, tech development, and innovation in blockchain, IGAs, and cryptography.

I know that several major universities are already doing further research and work for blockchain technology, and IMO, this is what will help us take this technology to the next level. Thoughts?

70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Any freelancers here that use crypto/blockchain? on: June 06, 2020, 05:20:54 AM
Are there any freelancers/work-from-home that came from the pandemic who's using crypto to receive payment? There may be a lot in this forum since this is crypto-based but I'm wondering for the rest of the world if they do that.

Since blockchains are public ledger and data is immutable, anybody can look up your transaction history and see every single transaction you’ve ever made — who they came from and where they went to. Furthermore, they can piggyback on the addresses that you’ve interacted with or have interacted with you to see their activities. Giving anybody your address was not only showing not only enables them to see your net worth, it also enables them to figure out who you worked with and when.

Businesses can instead use transactional privacy for users while creating mechanisms for accountability through identity providers and anonymity revokers. This will enable businesses and users to adapt on-the-fly through tailor-made solutions for all their compliance needs.

What can help the fast-growing number of digital no mads in 2020 to adopt to crypto, together with their bosses?

72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / LTO Network Annualized Staking Revenue on: June 04, 2020, 08:31:07 AM

LTO Networks current Annualized Staking Revenue exceeded over $140,000 making it a top 10 coin in terms of onchain revenue fee.

P/E Ratio:  LTO: 48
P/E Ratio:  ETH: 434
P/E Ratio:  Vechain: 719

A high P/E ratio could mean that a company's over-valued, a low one the opposite.
LTO Network will soon announce their upgraded token economics structure.

73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / McAfee Introduce a new privacy coin on: May 20, 2020, 03:21:56 PM

McAfee will airdrop a new privacy coin called Ghost to holders of ESH.

25% of supply will go to ESH holders.
At current price, ESH token's market cap is $17M. The valuation of ESH is merely what people expect GHOST to be worth.

If 25% of GHOST is worth $17M , McAfee's new privacy coin has a net valuation of $68M.

For reference, that makes McAfee's new coin's market cap:
- 200% greater than Grin
- 25% greater than Sero

And higher than established projects like TomoChain, Aragon, and Elrond.

75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and btc evolution. Support zone, supply and demand. on: May 18, 2020, 10:33:34 PM
I truly agree that we're still very early considering that we've been here for several years now, but at this point, we're still considered as early birds in the space.

Why? Because people who are only open minded are going in crypto, especially with businesses and big corporations. There's a blockchain that is unlocking business transactions which seeks to capture all of the business transactions that could benefit from blockchain technology. More business today is not being done due to high cost, and a lack of trust in counterparties.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is this what's preventing wide-spread adoption? on: May 16, 2020, 11:51:08 AM
One of the reasons why blockchain technology is not being widely used in the government and business sector is because of its anonymity. Guys just don't know who's doing what and people are scared about it. Blockchain is still an unfamiliar technology when it comes to regulation. We trust the cryptography, the protocols, the software, the computers, and the network, but this trust must be embedded in larger governance systems.

Existing major enterprise solutions are neither distributed (Hyperledger + Corda) nor have a focus on privacy. There is little to no progress here and these solutions are essentially just glorified databases.

Is this what's preventing wide-spread adoption and will a platform with a regulatory compliant identity layer be a solution? I think once governments start using this, they'll understand the technology more and the rest should follow.

77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Should startup crypto projects use DYCO instead of IEO/ICO? on: May 15, 2020, 02:20:23 AM
In early 2018, token sales were said to become the future of crowdfunding. Now, 2 years later, token sale volumes are down by 99.7%.

The problem isn't token sales. The problem is the framework of ICOs. The framework is broken and always was.

It is 2020 and the ICO framework has remained static. Token sale are as backwards as ever. We decided this cannot go on.

Once the token price falls by more than 20% from the initial price, there's this offering called Dynamic Coin Offering where participants can generate risk free profits by buying tokens from the market and be able to refund them. Those tokens that were refunded are automatically burned reducing the circulating supply by up to 100%.

Is this better than IEO and ICO itself being that people are entering crypto, risk free?
