Another truly tragic COVID-19 casualty. In my family.

45 years old. 6.2 ft tall. Perfectly healthy. Never had any illnesses throughout his life. Was serving in the military (Lieutenant, O-3). As you probably know, military officers regularly undertake medical tests, and his was perfectly clean. Stationed at a weapons research facility, doing research on encrypted network protocols.

Not vaccinated (out of "principle", whatever the FUCK that means). Contracted COVID-19. Fell ill. Within a week he was in ICU. A week later he was dead. DEAD. Got that? DEAD!

A brilliant man, a great military officer and scientist, LOST due to some medieval, dark-ages, Ted Kaczynski-type ideas, circulated for-profit on the internet, claiming that vaccines, medicines, science, technology, are somehow bad for us and we should abstain from them. He lives behind his wife and two little girls.

Sorry to post this here, but it needs to be heard. If the mods want, they can delete it or move it to Bob's thread. The pain is just too much for me right now. I just had to post this, in the hope that some "anti-vaxxers" out there read it and WAKE THE FUCK UP. I'm not talking about what I've heard, read, or dreamt, this is real life inside my own social circle.

And anyone offended by this post can go fuck themselves, thank you.

So... u'r saying the ICU killed him... right?? Smiley ... Cuz that what's pointing out from your post. Smiley  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

ICU == death sentence.  (Dumb doctors don't know that you need to do oxygen deprivation not saturation.)  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  ... f^cking moron doctors... quacks Smiley  Grin  Roll Eyes

*edit(0):  Most doctors, 90%+ of them are glorified nurses!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

*edit(1): Doctors don't have the necessary education to question authority and defy old institutions that teach them all the wrong things that they need to be brain washed at the indoctrination-school. Smiley  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

Jesus fucking Christ are you for real.

What a low life motherfucker you are, the guy just lost one of his family.

Sorry for your loss...but now I AM getting really fucking offended at the Mod of this WO thread that you can post this fucking over the top rant about how you think that a fucking piece of shit vaccine that DOESN'T DO SHIT TO STOP ANYTHING AT ALL and has caused 2.4M adverse drug reactions, heart inflammation, blood clots, and deaths would have somehow MAGICALLY SAVED your family member from dying??  Huh You're the one that needs to take the red pill and wake the fuck up, dude. There have been hundreds of thousands of people worldwide ending up in the ICU and dying who are 100% vaccinated. 100 FUCKING PERCENT!! You pro-vaxxers who are out there white-knighting and think that you have some sort of moral high-ground can absolutely, positively fuck off. I am so sick of this grandstanding bullshit.

And to be able leave this post here in WO? This rant should be moved to Bob's off-topic thread ASAP. End of fucking story. Otherwise I'm calling out the hypocritical bullshit right here and now.  Angry

AlcoHoDL came here for some emotional support not an outburst of fervor.

This is a true photo of a rare reaction to the Astra Zeneca vaccine suffered by Scottish woman Sarah Beuckmann who has now fully recovered!

Louise Rowan who is a member of an anti-vax group is not known to Sarah Beuckmann who is 34 years old and not 36 years old, a fact that a "dear friend" would know.

I never understood the purpose of the climate hoax, not that the world is getting warmer (it has been since the last ice age) and that it's progress has been sped up by human activity but the predicted outcomes of doom and horror centuries into the future. Supposedly caused by a 2.0C increase in temperature. Absolute zero is -273C - 0 degrees Kelvin, if average world temp is 15.0C then we are at 288 Kelvin so even a 3 degree increase is just 1% more heat energy and this is supposedly going to catastrophically destroy the world. WTF I do not believe this.

id rather look at the temperature range that more or less supports life here on earth. that being between the freezing and (a bit less than) the boiling point of water (granted at sea level) rather than kelvins full range using absolute zero as a starting point. so call it, say (very broadly as its SOMA), 0 to 70 celsius? so 3*C is 3/70 so around 4% and 2*C is 2/70 so around 3%

3-4% seems pretty noticeable.

anyway i tend to agree its a bit overblown.. solar activity goes in long cycles and arent we in a solar warming period now?

unsure as im pretty stoned.

Have another smoke and think about it.

*puffpuffpass* done

let me rephrase it a bit.. the kelvin range is for physics mainly. and my 0-70*C should be -20*C to 50ish*C, i forgot to slide the 70*C range down.. was easier to do the math in my head. anyway..

so for a better number, how low a temp is survivable for humans and the ecosystem that humans need to survive? and then the highest.

for example how low and how high a temp can your crops and livestock survive long term, ie for generations. now how about bacteria and such that are also needed. isnt the freezing point of water considered a hard limit for crops and seasonal variances a bit deal for some crops? some of those crops/lifestock that now can exist at the current highest or lowest temp (the extremes) will not be able to survive if those extremes are moved. that will upset the ecobalance (is that a word?). there will be a new equilibrium reached of course and new species may move into niches that were occupied by those that die off but it could be messy.

but im more stoned now so i may not be able to type or think coherently much longer, if indeed it is even coherent now.

as a farmer you are more knowledgeable about how climate extremes effect your profession and nature so i do bow to your superior knowledge in areas such as this.
You make a very good point about bacteria which are as important in the soil as they are in our guts. Plus also whether different crop diseases would become more prevalent with even smallish changes in temperature.

The point about using degrees Kelvin is to illustrate how much more heat energy there is in a material when it is 1C hotter.

So if you increase temp from 20C to 21C the material does not possess 5% more heat energy because you are measuring from freezing point as zero but nearer 0.3% as zero is -273C.

My turn to get stoned later this evening, happy days.

Punishment waaaaay to hard…..

Hope you get your freedom once again.

That man is weak.  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

When I tried to become a breatharian..... I had different challenges. One of them was to not eat for a certain amount of days and stay just with water, and try to cut water out as much as possible and get my water from the air I breathe. But there was a boundary I hit, and that was the burnt jet fuel from the higher atmosphere was interfering with my attunement.

Also another test was to sit in the dark alone for a long period of time. Or not talking or interacting with anyone for 1-2 weeks straight. (that posed another problem... my throat started to soar and vocal cords started degrading.... I think I should have started singing, but I don't like singing... Cheesy Cheesy )

Anyway.... prison is easy for some. And only a bored mind would find it hard to bear. But I guess I would sentence prison for a lot of bored minds if I had a chance... not a physical one 100%, but something to make them accept their pain and then treasure it. Smiley  Cool  Grin  Roll Eyes  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

Prison is so easy for guys like you, as long as you have a big jar of Vaseline.

I think you are losing your grip (on reality) bud.
65  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 16, 2021, 11:50:23 PM

I have a slightly different take on this.

Yes urea can be sourced from animal products but it is usually synthesized, the process takes a huge amount of energy. From the production of the ammonia which is usually made from hydrogen processed from natural gas or LPG and reacted with nitrogen ( you may remember the Haber- Bosch process from high school chemistry) and then reacting the ammonia with carbon dioxide to produce urea.

Recently the cost of natural gas and energy in general has seen a huge increase.
Leading to the highest price I have ever seen for fertilizer, Nitrogen (urea) in particular. Almost double last years price.
If farmers use less nitrogen due to increased cost, crop yields will fall and food prices will rise affecting everyone but those in third world countries most as a far higher proportion of their income is spent on food than in the developed countries.

The cause of huge increases in the price of energy is deliberate and due to the insane pace of shutting down traditional carbon electricity generation before alternative sources are fully in place. And the pressure to shut coal mines and oil wells for the misguided climate agenda movement.
This is at best could be described as an oversight by our great political leaders or a deliberate attempt to use starvation and poverty to subdue the worlds population ahead of the great reset. (couldn't possibly be connected to the onward march of Marxism promoted by our own progressives and others worldwide)

I never understood the purpose of the climate hoax, not that the world is getting warmer (it has been since the last ice age) and that it's progress has been sped up by human activity but the predicted outcomes of doom and horror centuries into the future. WTF I do not believe this.

So the climate hoax has everything to do with controlling people through fear and it is working, especially on young people who's anxiety levels about so called climate change are making them ill. This allows governments to bring in ever increasing draconian measures to control their populations. Increased energy prices to fuel inflation, increased money supply to add fuel to the inflation fire and people being softened up through the resulting poverty inflation brings.
Couple this with the Anthony Fauci backed research on Corona Virus at Wuhan institute of Virology, the experiments (to modify virus to be able to infect human cells) were not allowed to be conducted in USA labs, so were outsourced to Wuhan along with $millions of grants to upgrade their bio-security there. This is likely to be a deliberate release of a virus given the level of bio-security at Wuhan. Which now has the entire world in the grips of yet more fear. The time has never been better for those with totalitarian visions to strike.

There is a reason the communist China banned Bitcoin and that progressives like Sen Elizabeth (marxist) Warren would like to see it banned. Is that it can play a great part in thwarting their ambitions for a world wide (nightmare) communist state by giving power to those who would oppose such a plan.

(The shit that revolves around in your head when you are driving a tractor)

Nice.

Yes, I hope some smart people outside of China are cranking up the production of the factories that can make urea.  AND hopefully these businesses will not be impeded by the people currently controlling most western governments.  The good thing about the US is there will always be a state somewhere that will allow freedom, and support businesses.  There is a reason that Musk is moving his road show to Texas.

I am not a prepper (maybe I should be?) but you better believe I am hoarding a little urea to keep my truck running without having to hack it.  I might even buy a little deionized water to wet it down with and make it last a little longer.

There is no harm in having a few months food, fuel and importantly water, or the ability to produce clean drinking water, at hand.

My grandmother kept 6 months food supply in case of emergency, this was not considered as unusual or being a prepper, but just as insurance against tough times. For many today those tough times may not be end of the world scenarios but just being made redundant or suffering a period of poor health. Witness the lines at foodbanks of those who did not set aside anything when times were good. It does make me scratch my head when I see people burning gas by driving their SUV to the foodbank. Can afford gas but not food?
My grandfather always had 2 years supply of animal fodder (hay) stored, in case of a total crop failure in one year, it can happen in a drought year. Few farmers do this now but it adds to resilience and self reliance, qualities certainly missing amongst many in the general population today.

OT: All this talk in the MSM about the "relief rally" in stonks, and how the market "liked" the hawkish Fed news about tapering and potential 3 rate hikes in 2022.

Lol, what bullshit. The stonk market only likes free money, and more of it. They in fact hate tapering, and really hate higher interest rates. And they could give a shit about inflation.

A bunch of shorts got hammered, that is all.

What everyone should be very worried about is when the Fed really *does* start seriously tapering and raising rates. That would start the clock, and mean that another global black swan "event" is right around the corner. By design.

It's interesting to see the plan unfold.

It seems to me THIS phase is mostly focused on supply chain problems, particularly with food supply.  They had no issue with killing us with an engineered virus, and they are going to starve some of us to death next.  The most interesting part is the worldwide UREA shortage being created by China (of course).

This is a chemical which has an underestimated importance.  Who knew the world would run on pig piss?  But it does.  It is a primary ingredient in fertilizer, and ALL modern diesel engines require it to run.  It is not a requirement, in that the engine needs it.  But the engines all now have systems built in that will either shut off the operation altogether, or seriously govern the speed when it is missing.

So this attack has a 2 pronged effect.  It will make food harder/more expensive to produce.  And it will make the delivery of all goods also harder and/or more expensive.  So food production AND supply chains are going to shut down to some extent.  And people will die.

We are JUST beginning to see the first effects of this attack.  But I think it's going to get worse.

I personally drive a little 4 cyl diesel truck.  I bought myself 20 gallons of DEF a little while back when I realized this attack was coming.  So I will be good, for several years... probably overdoing it, but it will at least give western pig farmers the time needed to build the systems needed to produce this ourselves.

I think all user here in the forum is cool, helpful, and generous but we do not know them yet that's why we can say that some of them are better than others but for me we are equal here and we are all friends.

Well, I agree with you. But there are always some exceptions.

Please do so, I find it a useful metric for bullish/bearish conditions. There are a lot of OGs here, and they often resurface at different times.
It's something I keep my eye on, to be honest, especially the frequency of posting.

Thank you very much. I am glad to hear that you found it useful.
About other things: I believe everyone has the rights to share their opinion. Ignore if you don't like them. You can't be rude to anyone's opinion. Just ignore or tell him why you do not agree with good words. So, What I did is share my opinion and they jumped over me.

Hey Cygan what's the M stands for?

That M Stands for Mcdonald's. But in this case, it's used as a crypto price graph.

Fuck off.

Friendship is earned. Not given.

Good grief.

I am not here to make friends. Read the post first before commenting like this.
There was another guy who PMed me about how he can make friends. That's it.
I know you guys are much familiar with F words. Don't put these words in my mouth.
Don't force me to talk with you that way.

As a farmer I can tell you it is better to have a cowshed full of wicked cows than an empty one.

Look up the word obsequious, it describes you best.

Keep posting, do what you like, say what you want to, nobody here gives a fuck and nor should you.

It's one reason why WO is a great place, not to mention decent TA, discussions of TA, enough random shit when the ship is temporarily sinking to distract those visiting weak hands from doing a Mindrust.

Proven Cheater!

https://aje.io/zft9fq
The case is Kleiman v. Wright, 18-cv-80176, U.S. District Court, District of Southern Florida (Miami).

That's a really different take on the same thing then what is said here: https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2021/dec/07/australian-man-craig-wright-wins-us-court-battle-for-bitcoin-fortune-worth-billions

Well to be honest I don't think so see what jury said...

Quote
A Florida jury on Monday found that Wright did not owe half of 1.1m bitcoins to the family of David Kleiman. The jury did award US$100m in intellectual property rights to a joint venture between the two men

If you ask me to translate I would say:

He did not owe half of 1.1m bitcoins to  the family of David Kleiman because he don't have 1.1m bitcoins.

You can't owe something which you don't have in the first place and he don't have 1.1m bitcoins because he's a Fekatoshi not Statoshi.

Not likely, the bull cycle is finished. Think of it as if we are at February 2018, it’s over until 2024.

How many acres you have?
Are you in a state that will promo solar?

Ie 200 acres for crops could have 10 acres set for solar if you are in the right state.

10 acres for solar could be 2 megawatts which translate to about 333 kwatts 24/7/365 if you can grid tie.

depends on the state you are in.

1200 acres of row crops, and 100 acres of woods.

Yeah you certainly have the room. The question is what programs does your state have.

We have

 a 45kwatt array  on a commercial building
a 115kwatt array on a 3 acre property part ground mount part on a barn part on a home.
a 350kwatt array in progress on a warehouse complex that house our main mining farm.

on grid tie setups take the full power number divide by 5 to 6 to get the 24/7/365 number

so

45+115+350= 510/5 = 102 to 510/6 = 85

so they will range 85-102 kwatt 24/7/365 average depending on a rainy year vs a dry year.

so 85 x 24 x 365 = 744600 to  102 x 24 x 365 = 893520

744600 kwatts is 29,784 usd a year at 4 cents 595568 usd at 8 cents.  and at current btc mining of 18 cents  134028 usd

893520 is 35740 4 cents 71481 cent and at current btc mining of 18 cents  160833

I use 4 cents as the power company will pay 4 cents for your power
I use 8 cents as you are allowed to sell to you neighbor at 8 cents

the 18 cents is tricky a kwatt will run an s9 at 11th  11th earns 3.52 /24 = 14.67 cents  so all s9's will do only 14.67 cents not 18 cents.  but an s17 will do 50 th at 2 kwatts or 16 / 48 = 33.33 cents earnings per kwatt

so if you have some s9 and some s17 and average 14.67 with 33.33 you get  18  cents or more or less. In our case we are more likely earning 25 cents for each kwatt we burn.

which means next year when we build all the solar we will earn about 223380 for the solar power we generate. this excludes all government subsidies.

The small arrays are paid off. The big one will finish in the spring of 2022 and with luck pay off in 4-8 years.

Unless we get a monster runup.

Good insight into solar power and real life figures applied to your mining operation and profitability at current prices.

What is the likely capital outlay of your 350Kw installation?

This is someone making excuses for being a no-coiner and trying to dissuade others from getting into Bitcoin by suggesting it requires special skills and knowledge of how it works.

I'm a farmer for fucks sake.

Special skills - rearing livestock, growing crops, shooting a 3" group at 500 yds.

Simply buy at any price whenever you have spare fiat, and hodl.

Interesting to see a few 'real' farmers here, not just hobby guys into BTC. I am fourth generation farmer, corn/wheat/beans/cattle. I have the appropriate skillsets also, Farmer Bill. We have seen a few hobby farmers that would putter on a few acres, but had a job in town. Our saying used to be "If you're not making a living from it, it's just a hobby farm".

Nothing wrong with having fun in the dirt, but it's not the same as decades of debt, and your income dependent on weather/govts/animals.

Takes a fellow farmer to know, debt, no guarantee of income, 365 days a year, (livestock do not recognize weekends or Christmas day).
Fighting livestock to get a drench down their throat, growing crops with an ever dwindling number of treatments available to fight pests and diseases. Ever changing legislation.

Would I change this? not for anything, it is a way of life rather than a job.

I like the constant challenge.

I missed listing one skill - how to skin a turd.

You cannot waste money like a government official and need to do your own repairs, maintenance and be inventive.

Hopefully my Bitcoin will allow the farm to stay intact when I die, with one of my offspring taking on the farm and the other two taking their share of inheritance in Bitcoin.

Hobby farms seem a big thing in Europe, with heavy subsidies to keep nonviable small farms working to prevent depopulation of rural areas. So an engineer may work in a factory, but milk a few cows or goats before and after their days work.

Good luck to the hobby farmers, there seems a lot of people have a need for some contact with the land, even on such a small scale as growing a kitchen garden, or a few plants to smoke as many on this forum seem to do.

Casually looked into this for a 5 acre installation generating 1 megawatt cost >$2.0m.

And decided against it.

A lot depends of the state and how they structure subsidies.

Some states suck some are good.

Yes there are grants and loans and tax breaks available but it's still debt, with many years before break even point.

There are additional costs like good fencing (livestock destroy panels) weed control on site. Washing dirt from panels Building a maintenance road and so on.

Plus the opportunity cost of the land tied up.

I get the impression the installers and the power companies are the main benefactors.

Not to say it couldn't be a good proposition for some farmers, like in sunny East Texas on a ranch. Bob and Rick anyone.
