DDoS?
62  Local / Альтернативные криптовалюты / Re: NovaCoin (scrypt PoW + PoS hybrid) on: April 17, 2014, 09:20:24 PM

63  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptsy - the new Mt. Gox! Shut Down? Hacked? Never Seen Before!! on: April 17, 2014, 05:04:39 AM
Stop spreading FUD, everything will be ok, this is not a gox or coinex.
Negative balance thing happened before (about a year ago), and all was sorted out to normal.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HoboNickels - HBN - Major Release ready! Version 1.4. Stake For Charity. on: April 17, 2014, 02:47:02 AM
I'm not sure that you will understand what was in this "crash message" cause it was on russian)
But I'll send it to you just in case.

Thanks for the info, will try experiments with 1.4.0.1 later.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HoboNickels - HBN - Major Release ready! Version 1.4. Stake For Charity. on: April 17, 2014, 01:15:16 AM
Got 2 crashes while upgrading from 1.4.0.0 to 1.4.0.1 (all files were backuped, not "clean setup", old blockchain was left and started to reindex).
Going back to 1.4.0.0.

Update: reroll to 1.4.0.0. went fine, may be needed to do a clean setup while upgrading to 1.4.0.1.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HBN Investment Journal - 2% returns every ten days - 80,000+ HBN Porfolio on: April 16, 2014, 03:48:02 PM
HBN gets it first professional Multipool. Aim your miners, strap in and prepare for takeoff!
This is great!

68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DBL] Doubloons: Pirate Currency on: April 16, 2014, 01:07:41 AM
Assuming that this blockexplorer (http://explorer.doubloons.net/chain/Doubloons) was on the same chain with Cryptsy's wallet recently, I succesfully synced my DBL client using blockexplorer node 70.98.114.237.

Will see how it goes.

Ohh.. you guys mean a scrypt profit switching pool with an option to payout in BTC/LTC/HBN...hmm interesting idea, but may be too complex, I think HBN needs more exchanges first.

P.S. what a pump that Blackcoin has...and in relation to HBN, the list of exchanges which trade BC is quite big, the trading volume at Cryptsy is astonishing too, I guess that is what PR/rush/greed do? We'll see... I'm not sure that future is in pure PoS, yes it is energy saving, but it is all about the initial distribution while PoW was active, and someone could jump aboard, and others forced to buy with BTC.
With combined systems like HBN - people have a choice - mine it/buy it/pos it/give it for charity.

I just like that warm valve atmosphere HBN has, with steady development and community support, but its just me.

I'm not sure if there any multipool, that pays out in something except BTC or LTC, the only multipool (and it is a 1st ever multipool, as far as I know) that pays out in exact mined coins (without automatical conversion into BTC/LTC) is multipool.us.
But it doesnt have HBN listed.

The current hashrate and PoW diff changing algorithm works quite well, balancing up and down over the LTC profitability.
So lets imagine what will be if, for example, multipool.us will add HBN to its list.
HBN profitability occasionally gets higher than LTC, the whole 15 000 MH/s of multipool hits the HBN network.
HBN profitability calculates every next block, and its immediately goes down, multipool switches back to LTC/DOGE/whatever, thus lefting the HBN network with previous steady hashrate...

I dont know, whats the point of it? Not sure if it is useful at the current stage.
The only pros I see is that more people may know about HBN, but the cons are possible chain fork, large amount of orphanes, when such a huge amount of hashrate will hit the network...

IDK, would be interesting to listen for other opinions.

Any chance HBN can get a Multipool? That way we have three different ways to mine the coin.

Me personally dont think that this is a good idea, multipools can be dreadfull for coins with their huge power, while really big multipools seems dont mine HBN, some smaller and shady ones may be using HBN in their profitability calculations, thus causing some spikes of the network hashrates (wich is rare for now).

We have 3 major pools:
http://hbn.theblocksfactory.com
http://hbn.smartmining.net
https://scrypt.io/hbn

And they share the hashrate pretty well, theblocksfactory is the oldest and reliable, and smartmining has taken the lead with the low fees.

Cryptsy's wallet being offline is really beginning to take it's toll, particularly since coinex is the only other exchange around...and well it's coinex. There aren't many other coins around like phs though. I count one actually...standing pat.
I would NOT recommend using coinex now, they took my deposite, but frozed withdrawal, many people reporting they have problems with withdrawal from coinex too.

Welcome to the club.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Compare profitability: Scrypt Scrypt-N multipool, Vertcoin, Doge Litecoin P2Pool on: April 12, 2014, 05:59:43 PM
Added scrypt.cc. Please note that it is quite different from anything else on these charts, so proceed with caution. High yield comes with an initial investment cost roughly twice the cost of buying mining hardware as of today (e.g. Gridseed Blade). That is counterbalanced by the ability to trade hashpower in a fairly liquid market. Weigh carefully whether or not that is an acceptable risk for you.

Honestly Scrypt.cc sounds like a ponzi scheme. High initial investment? check... Unrealistic rate of return? check... at some point they'll disappear with your money, it almost seems guaranteed.

Well, I dont defend Scrypt.cc (as I dont use them), but approx the same was said previously about Cex.io...
Cex.io grow big, Scrypt.cc is (is it?) the 1st scrypt cloud mining service, time will tell, there is always risk when trusting your funds to some online service (just remember inputs.io, 50btc, gox, coinex etc)

May be someone can help me here. Who is the owner of the pool http://phs.minar.cc ?
I cant unlock my account there, I've sent them an email, but no answer...

Edit: is there any pools except those in the OP? phs.minar.cc has ~10MH, phs.cryptcoins.net has ~0.5MH, phs.cryptotroll.com ~0.8MH. so where is total network 400+MH come from, solo mining? or may be it takes into account PoS mining too?

77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: April 09, 2014, 08:32:06 PM
HBN network is doing well, the withdrawal didnt even left the coinex, I suppose.
May be there is a problem with some wallets on exchange, if some coins were luckily withdrawn by somebody like you, and others are not, I thought that they freezed all withdrawals.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: April 09, 2014, 08:04:35 PM
Pool is working. I am able to withdraw funds too. Did a test withdrawal and it worked right away. Will be pointing my miners here soon now. clevermining reward system has gone down too much.
Good for you.

Me personally was able only to deposite funds into that blackhole, and the withdrawal of HBN is still just queued for 2 days, no reply from support.
Many people in coinex chat complaining that they cannot withdraw.
