It would also help to have a forum.

here is what i suggest. We have a new update,
1) stake reduction to 0.01%
2) divide all balances by 1 billion, if your wallet <100 million then you'll have zero (lol)
3) Encourage mining by resetting n-factor to re-introde GPU mining
4) Ask cryptsy to destroy the obscene stake they have accumulated on our coins but have not allocated back to owners.
5) PUMP!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh would you shut it already, you don't even know what the hell you're talking about. I already implemented the stake reduction and you can't just "divide all the balances by a billion", aside from it being practically impossible to do without completely breaking everything, it would be pointless anyway. If a miracle happens the value will remain exactly the same, most likely the overall value will drop significantly and everyone will be pissed off. And i will not say this again, from now on any comments regarding this will be ignored: I do not care about the value of this currency and i will put no effort into advertising or "pumping" the value. This coin was never intended to be released to the masses in the first place. If you want to pump it go right ahead, i will not interfere. If you want to add new features do it yourself and send a pull request, i'll gladly commit the changes if they seem reasonable. If it breaks again I will fix it. Other than this i will not put any more effort into this currency, i have a new serious currency I'm working on and I'm trying to get stuff setup for my creation service, i do not have time to be playing with yahtzee chips. |

There's a "Command Line Banking" button in the GUI, it's fine to mine using the instructions it gives you. I hear there's a pennies standalone miner out there but I never got it to work, scrypt-jane is hella weird. |

I theorize that doguecoin might be some kind of political coin, that someone who wants to be duke of venice(dogue of venice) might use this coin?
I cannot see any reason why doguecoin would have 2500 bitcoins traded in its first day of trading. And the pic of the dog? I mean, come on, the coin looked like something like shitcoin or junkcoin. Give me a break
It's dogecoin, and it was a joke based on the doge meme (particularly the latest implementation regarding shibe doges with comic sans text). billym2k (the dev, who happens to be an acquaintance of mine) is just as blown away by it's surge in popularity as the rest of us. There's nothing political about it, it has nothing to do with "dogue", and it is indeed as you say; a junkcoin (just like pennies). Quite frankly, the people investing in that are no different in you lot, taking serious interest in some half-assed software made on a whim of a (likely drunk) developer. |

If it is impossible to limit the number of coins with POS, then reduce the amount of pos, so that it is incredibly small amounts then? Is that possible?(I say this because I think it would be good to reduce the number of coins being made through pos as well)Some other things to think about: 1- pennies can use its own thread at bitcointalk.org don't you think? to advertise better? 2- I don't think that the current coins ought to be reduced because people have paid for those coins(I don't know how it would be done anyways) 3- pennies needs an optimistic dev, who will work to help to increase value for people who have invested into pennies( sorry, but some of us have invested too much, for this to be just some 'experiment' or 'just for fun'. Nothing. If it breaks again I'll fix it, otherwise I have other projects to work on. Maybe someday in the future when i have time I'll add newer updates from Bitcoin/OMG. Can someone confirm that the new version also fixes the upper limit of possible pennies in one wallet?
There is no upper limit of what your wallet can hold, only of what the GUI can display and what you can send in a single transaction (as far as I'm aware). That value is 1billion, as that is the MAX_MONEY value used by the getwork system. I could fiddle around with some variables to get the wallet to display higher values, but it isn't really a priority. If you need to send more than 1bil. to one person, try sending multiple transactions. I have no idea why Cryptsy's max withdrawal is 100mil. I don't work for cryptsy. This will take care of the amount of coins mined in the future. It should be kept to an amount where it is profitable for miners to still mine coins ,and or increase transaction fees to keep the network alive. As far as reducing the amount of current coins in circulation, some friends and I are in talks about the pros/cons of buying x amount of coins and destroying them (sending them to black hole, putting on paper wallet and then destroying the wallet, etc)- therefore reducing the "float". We are trying to determine how many we can destroy while hopefully still being profitable for us and everyone involved.
Feel free to destroy as many coins as you like. I'm not really concerned with boosting coin value myself. |

Pennies is down on Cryptsy purely for maintenance on their end as far as I'm aware.
This does not mean they're removing pennies, and i have nothing to do with them regardless.
The new update will not invalidate any of your current pennies, stop asking.
Anymore questions on these two subjects will be ignored.

I'll think about it, git isn't really intended for binary distribution, but that does seem rather convenient. As for the CENT's stake fix, I'll be reviewing petr1fied's changes shorty and (most likely) merge it into the main repo, a windows binary should be available by the end of the week. |

The Cat Man how can you tell something like that? when lots of people invest lots of money? if we want fun we are going outside to play...for fun you make something else not virtual coin and put it on a market....and stupid people like me invest in that coin...and after that you write on these forum...it is just for fun...i will not try make it valuable...pfff

Doubloons 0.10.0.0 wallet has been compiled and is curreently uploading to the binaries repo! (Source is also up in the source repo.)
This will fix the diff roller coaster by reducing the retarget window to something more reasonable, also fixes ridiculous tx fees. Changes will take effect in January 2014 so update your clients by then!

Pennies are not intended to be valuable. This was a just for fun coin, a proof of concept on eliminating decimals. That's it. I'll fix it but I'm not going to try and make it "valuable".

I don't know anything about issues with cryptsy. It's always been rather slow with transfers as far as i know, just give it time and raise a support ticket with 'em if you fell there's an issue, I can't do anything about this.
