61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tainted coins - Who dictates that a coin is tainted? on: May 20, 2012, 05:48:55 PM
Bumping as this recently became very relevant.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 400 BTC sent to an unknow address. Help please 40 BTC reward. on: May 20, 2012, 05:39:46 PM
You must have lots of money to not care about 400 BTC you lost. Anyway, sorry for the unhelpful message, I hope you get your 360 BTC.

He clearly does care, or he wouldn't have posted this.

Also, sorry I don't have any information for you.
63  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering short term loans for (round-up) interest on: May 19, 2012, 03:24:26 PM
No problem. Do you have an account on #bitcoin-otc so I can rate you?

John
64  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone to create/modify software for this forum [2200+ BTC] on: May 19, 2012, 02:35:36 PM
You would not consider Python / Django? It's really good for making quick, strong, scalable apps, easily modifiable, and "comes with" an awesome admin panel.
65  Economy / Services / Offering Python and PHP work for Bitcoins on: May 19, 2012, 01:42:14 PM
Hello everyone,

I am a web developer with expertise in PHP and Python. I am very familiar with Django and Flask in Python, and many PHP frameworks.

I have lots of experience with web programming work, however I do not do designs. I can throw in Bootstrap and something from Bootswatch, and I can do some pretty CSS stuff, but that's about it. No full website designs. I am strictly a programmer, not a designer.

My rates are approximately .1 BTC / hour, but the cost depends on the complexity of the project.

Please email me for estimates. My email address is jmaguire2013@gmail.com.

Thank you for your interest,
John Maguire

EDIT: Updating costs.

Also added a nice little stats page. Smiley

Removed.
70  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [ANN] Make Bitcoins Fast - Indexing site for "faucets", simple gambling, etc. on: May 18, 2012, 10:42:52 AM
Thanks for the link. I'm lowering the minimum day bid to 0.001 BTC/day. That's nothing, people! And we don't get as many views as some high profile sites, but our users love to click on links and use the service (that's what the site is based on, and I get referral payouts, which require about 10 people before you get a payout, once or twice a day.)
71  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Steam account valued $180 for 3 BTC on: May 18, 2012, 10:26:36 AM

I'm not sure how to prove it, but this isn't true. If I login it shows me all 17 games. :S
72  Economy / Securities / Re: Mini Rig crowdfunding idea? on: May 18, 2012, 02:04:10 AM
For anyone with issues of trust against Kris, I've talked to him a bit lately and he seems very trustworthy. I'm generally a very good judge of character (except when it comes to girlfriends...)

1 BTC is not a whole lot to spare. Kris isn't asking for 25 BTC per user, just $5. It will take a while to get the investment back, but do you really need that $5 for the next many months?

When I have some funds (completely broke at the moment), you can expect a Bitcoin from me.
73  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinToss No Payment Received(RESPONSE RECEIVED) on: May 18, 2012, 01:12:23 AM
I would not be so quick he needs to explain things. As well as answer any question that may arise. i have a feeling he will chose not to though.
I think you are quite incorrect and are simply searching for the next Bitcoin drama. Alex used to be very involved with Bitcoin whhen I was before my hiatus, and I trust him completely. I was very surprised to see this site listed as a scam and am glad he sent you that PM.

Alex always took time to respond to any questions and addressed all concerns in the past. I doubt now will be any different.

What he said in his PM makes sense, I'm not really sure what other sort of explanation you are waiting for.

74  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Steam account valued $180 for 3 BTC on: May 18, 2012, 12:15:52 AM
Final offer, 3 BTC. I'd like to sell this before the end of tonight, as I owe someone 3 BTC, and would prefer to not have to convert ppUSD to Bitcoins.

After Thursday, May 17th, 11:59pm EDT, this will no longer be available.
75  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Steam account valued $180 for 6 BTC or 3 BTC + $10 on: May 17, 2012, 11:57:48 PM
the link you pasted, was to a steam account with only the games I mentioned.

Uh... check again. I see a lot more than that. There's 16 games listed. May have been a glitch on the site.
76  Other / Meta / Re: Unjust scammer tag on: May 17, 2012, 06:41:51 PM
well this is an open source community, forum should be open source for this reason also.
really private pms should be pgpd

Is it really true that you can download this forum? Link?
77  Other / Meta / Re: Eliminating the one-line "subscribe" posts. on: May 17, 2012, 06:13:21 PM
The stripped-down nature is a bit of the problem. But aye, like SgtSpike, I really prefer modern sites, and despise SMF for this reason.
78  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Steam account valued $180 for 9.99 BTC or best offer over 8 BTC on: May 17, 2012, 06:10:15 PM
Lowering to 3 BTC and $10 via Amazon Payments or 6 BTC.
79  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lulz. on: May 17, 2012, 11:20:38 AM
Perhaps not meant to be, but this is the most hilarious thread yet, in my opinion: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=78386.0

Portal, Portal 2, team fortress 2, team fortress 2 beta... are added up to be worth $180? Tongue

Terraria, Assassin's Creed Revelations, Left 4 Dead 2 are on there too along with a bunch of other games. The link I posted lists them all.
